I got this dragon breeding an Old Hermit Dragon with a Water Dragon in four tries. I probably should have just tried pure Blue and Yellow instead but I was a little bored.

Mercury & Gold = 21 hours ( :mad: )
Old Hermit & Water = 4 hours = SUCCESS!!! :D

Maybe I will have better luck with this one than the last required common. I tried to breed the last one for 2 weeks and got everything but. Will switch to this one now and see if it appears. Seems like S8 is wanting me to pay gold for everything these days, from breeding commons to winning tournament battles.

First attempt: Neo Air + Old Hermit = 9hrs
Second attempt: Neo Air + Water = 4hrs
Third attempt: Neo Air + Water = 7hrs
Fourth attempt: Air + Water = 5hrs
Fifth attempt: Air + Water = 6hrs
Sixth attempt: Neo Air + Water = 5hrs
Seventh attempt: Air + Water = 7hrs
Eighth attempt: Air + Old Hermit = 5hrs
Ninth attempt: Water + Old Hermit = 15hrs...
Tenth attempt: Water + Old Hermit = 10hrs
Eleventh attempt: Mist + Old Hermit = 4hrs
Twelfth attempt: Air + Old Hermit = 16hrs......I think I'm not supposed to be putting Air into the mixture if it's with Hermit...

Thirteenth attempt: Water + Old Hermit = 21hrs HAHAHA yeah I'm done. Nothing makes me want to quit the game more at this point, and I used to be a paying user.

Now on the chapter where I need the stupid 'Common'. Prob can't finish this Tales now, but bred again just to see...

Amazing. And of course, no other option to breed it. People would legit pay/use some gold if they had to catch up to a chapter or two, if they couldn't breed it, just like in LB and WE. What is wrong with this studio and so many of their poor choices, notably angering more and more of their dedicated players.

EDIT: Decided to keep breeding just to see if it would even be possible. After the umpteenth attempt: Water + Air: 16hrs, 6hrs, and FINALLY got it. With 14hrs before the event is OVER?? Gee, thanks!! At least I'll be able to go for the 2nd event dragon...

I got him with Old Hermit and Water!

With how difficult it can be to breed a "common" dragon for Tales, I really wish that they had the "crafting" option like they do for the other events. lol

Oh well ... I'm sure that I REALLY actually WANTED 3 more Volts, 2 more March Madnesses, & 1 more Frilly. *eyeroll* : )

HUGE thank you to those who post the need for the specific dragon early enough that we have time for multiple failures!! I'd never make it otherwise!!!

Yeah I complain about this aspect sooooo much lawlz. But it's always so appreciated that the others post such helpful info, because the stupid mandatory "common" dragon breeding and competition, for me personally, takes out so much of the fun that this game used to bring :/
