I'm having the same problem and I also had this happen just last week! I've done everything they tell you to do (force close, reboot device, reboot router/wifi connection, uninstall/reinstall the app) still not working! :mad:
Uggghhh, it's happening again!! Why are there periods of time that the game just won't connect for some players? And I DO NOT want to hear that it's on my end because IT'S NOT! :mad:
Are there any issues with the DS servers? I've been trying unsuccessfully to connect to the game servers for the last 20 minutes on various devices with different accounts.
- There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I can get into Castle Story without any issues.
- There is nothing wrong with my devices (see #1 above).
- This has been happening intermittently over the past month. It usually clears up after a couple of minutes but not this time.
- I am not contacting support because this isn't an issue with my game and also, the issue would probably be solved by the time they see my ticket.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I tapped on the retry many times over the last two hours and finally managed to get in.
No force-closing, no resetting or restarting of the device. I can only conclude that there was some unexpected downtime.
Can someone please help me, My game hasn?t been able to load for two days now... I?ve tried turning my phone off, I?ve tried re-installing the game, I?ve tried using a different device, nothing works. This has been going on 5/6 weeks now, it just stops working for a day or two at at time. It?s so frustrating. I?ve now lost out on two dragons from battles and I?ve won every single dragon battle since they started. I?ve had to pay out 1000 gold for the final dragon of tales because it won?t let me finish. I?ve had to spend so much gold not to miss out and now have little left. I have no chance in the this current tales event. I have no idea why this is happening. I?ve heard from other people that this has happened to as so I know it?s not just me. Admin please help, I can?t raise a ticket as I can?t get into the game. Asagm
This has been happening a lot for me too. I also did all of the usual recommended tricks: reset my router, force close the app, restart my phone, uninstall/reinstall the app, etc.

Same here. I've come to agree that it's very rarely issues with *our* connections...
Should also add that if I'm caught in an unfortunate loop of having to hit 'retry' to no avail, apparently every *other* app of mine, and the web browsers, launch just fine...
Stopped working again!! Starting working yesterday after I replied on this thread so I thought someone may have seen the message, worked for nearly 24 hours and it?s gone again!!

Fantasy Forest Story and Pet Shop Story are ok.
So I decided to try another option. I just turned off my WiFi setting on my phone, force closed everything and turned my phone off. Waited about 30 seconds then turned my phone back on. Waited about 15 seconds then clicked the DS app; still can't connect due to "internet connection" issues even though I'm using Data!!!
ETA: Forced closed the game, turned WiFi back on and connected to my home network. Still won't load :mad:
ETA2: Opened up Frozen Frenzy Mania (the only other S8 game I have on my phone. Game opened and loaded; went to the little blue icon in the top right of the screen. I found Dragon Story and clicked "Play" - same results. Will not open.
So I did some internet research and did these steps (ridiculous as it is just to get into a game):
iPhone settings:
Removed my phone case (in order to prevent any blockage to the antennae)
Went to Settings ->Cellular->Cellular Data Options->Voice & Data->3G {turning off LTE}
Force closed everything
Restarted phone
Tapped the app and still got the error message, tapped "Try Again" and got into the game finally
It seems that when these connection issues happen with DS, you have to have 3 bars of internet connection (hope that's the right term) but not always. Mostly I can get in and use the app with 2 bars but when it acts up, you need to get at least 3. It's so much of a hassle for a simple game. I wish they would just fix the issues on their end :mad:
ETA: Well guess what happened a few hours after this system got me into the game? I'll give you 0 guesses: I got kicked out of the game and this system is not working now :mad:
ETA: Rebooted my router and phone. After about 10 more tries, was able to get in (on the 3G setting). This is crazy.
Dear S8! I join the messages written above. Sometimes I can't opem my island during more than a day. This is a big problem specially during the Dragon Tales, because I can't make tasks. This situation happens periodically for two weeks. Please, solve this problem! (iOs device)
Im not from USA. Internet is ok. Using iOS.
My little island (level 6) works perfectly, but my main island (level 200) does not upload. So the problem is with games in high levels.
Higher level= heavier to upload :(
It seems to me that the connection problems are worse right around update times :mad:
Please, please, please check on your end S8 - none of your 'solutions' are working for me. I got suddenly bumped out of the game and now can't get back in :mad:
I'm experiencing the same issues. Can't get into my DS games on any of my devices and accounts. It was intermittent the last couple of weeks but seems to be dead today.
Maybe this is fate telling me that I should finally leave off DS. It's a good thing that I haven't spent a red cent on this game in the last year.
My game is constantly crashing (every 30 seconds) and I'm sick of hearing that it's on MY end.
Hubby is a tech guru for a networking company in Silicon Valley so we're set up extremely well. I'm an online video gamer and this game is plagued with memory leaks.

I have been trying for an hour to get in the game. I sent a ticket. My internet connection is fine. This happens quite often and is very frustrating.

I just sent S8 a request/service ticket about DS not working on my iPad. I've done everything you folks have said S8 says to try. This has been going on for three days now. Also, I can play DS on my iPhone and sent a request/service ticket to S8 on my iPad.???
I've been trying to connect for about 3 hours now. Did all the usual suggested fixes and nothing is working. I replied to an open ticket I have with support but haven't gotten any response yet. This is beyond frustrating especially on top of the utter lack of success I've had trying to breed a NOTCommon Risen dragon. This event is really going to come down to the wire for me time wise :mad:
There are currently outages with certain third-party services which are causing issues with the games. The team is currently looking into this.

Unable to get back into game, was able to load first thing, then game icon about it being an internet game popped up and now have been trying about an hour to get back in and can’t.I am trying to finish Tales event so hope it gets back very soon.This inability to load game has been an on and off again issue for a while now, I sent in ticket to S8 too. My Castle Story loads with no problem.
This problem makes it a lot more difficult to participate in and finish events..something really needs to be done with the game..so unfair and frustrating.
I just tried deleting game and reinstalling and that doesn’t even allow game to come up..boy is this messed up or what…
I have tried to reach out to anyone possible for help. Nothing. I don’t understand how my lower account(level 14)works just fine but my higher account(level 200)won’t load.
I cannot open the game from my Samsung phone like a month ago. I cannot open the game from my Ipad Mini since yesterday. Now I can play only on my laptop which I could not carry it to everywhere I go. So I hardly finish the tales and I am sure with this situation, I cannot finish the next event.
