Maybe S8 can programme things to ensure that a Collection of all 40 items from mama bear won't muck things up? That would be fab and kind.

Success!!! My latest collection of 5 beehives scored 5 beeswax! I know it won't continue but I'll revel in this one victory.
UPDATE: Paid for it on the next collection. 1 out of 5 , so I'm 10 beeswax per 19 beehive collections.
Update 2: Next collection. 2 out of 5, back to the lower collections. 12 beeswax per 24 collections.
Some how I have managed to lose my brown bear cub. I had placed him near my hive, but am unable to find him now. Was he meant to disappear?
Have collected 40+ honeypots And they counted towards Goal 13 ... so no problems there
Goal 14:
Attachment 55402
Need to collect 35 beeswax more for the Honey Candies
Attachment 55404
(Used the first 20 to upgrade Hive to L6) So need 55 beeswax in total!
My wooden beehive just dropped living wood. Not sure what else it is supposed to drop, but this was a nice surprise.
Does anyone know if I buy the value pack which includes 70 honeycombs & I already have 50, limit being 99 will I still get all 70 totaling 120 or just get 99? Thanks for any info!!!
So many lanterns to make so little time
No, he shouldn't disappear. Maybe look in your inventory, or in your Kingdom behind Trees or Buildings?
And if you are sure he is gone you can always make a ticket and/or post it in the Bugs threat.
Spiritwind has the links to both in post #1 (on the first page of this threat). Good luck!
Thanks for all the help everyone!
I'm really enjoying this event. :)
Just started Goal 13.
Going quicker than I originally anticipated.
 18 farmhouses spawned four fangbeasts and only 1 baby bears
I will be on 13 either tonight or tomorrow (I have 16 beeswax). I was lucky enough to have 1600 energy at the start. I've used it all, but I have made 20 of the final 36 outfits and have 32 of the honeypots, so I can just concentrate on baby bears and trees for a few more days and then it's just waiting on the beehives. If I make 4-6 a day I should have them all by Tuesday.
Low drop rates on honey trees are ****ing me. Averaging 1 to 2 per tree, the rare 3 or 4 is cause for great celebration. No stored energy sources as a low level base...wait 3 minutes and tap a tree lol. Really do love the events though!! Good luck to all!!
the beesewax is ****ing me. i've been collecting religiously. i only have 8. i have 21 of the final 36 outfits done. all 40 of the mama bears ****ed. i started with over 2000energy. these events are ****er for baby level 50s. just enough energy to make you think u can do it
I feel like I'm so much farther behind. So many people are already fighting the mama bear. I'm still trying to build the bee boxes. Oh well, what can you do.
I'm IN LOVE with the designs for this event, particularly the tree. I've already scattered a few across my kingdom
That's a lot of wax! That much has me worried, I'm usually lucky if I get 2 from my 5 hives!
I'm balancing the two while collecting from the beehives. The baby bears are easy with the ten minute timer. Every time the cottages are ready, fight as many mama bears as you can. Do this until you have 25-30 honeypots. It won't take very long. Mama sometimes drops 2 or 3.
Good morning! :) I'm happy to report that I now basically have my materials collected and am just waiting for the beeswax (another 5 days, probably, before that's done). I started the event with pretty much exactly 2k energy and ran out by the beginning of the weekend. That was great timing for me, because on the weekend I have more leisure to play CS every 1-2 hours and take full advantage of the free energy refills. I spent no gems, but I did use a few elven boosts to speed up the potion shop - before I ran out of glimmerdust and couldn't replenish it fast enough, lol.
All in all, I'm happy I decided to participate in the event after all, and that I'll now be able to save up some energy again before the next one. Best of luck to everyone else who is still chopping away at the honey trees!
I’m also just building the bee box’s and I’ve been doing this quest continually since it started. However having just realized I have 36 hive kits (2 levels) to build still ahead of me, I think I might be out. Such a shame, why are these quests so repetitive, boring and hard? It started off so well I thought. I have 3 glimmer troves and still don’t see how I’m going to generate enough glimmer dust. It’s become work
I understand your frustration. This is one of the most energy-intensive events I've ever seen. I think the worst-off players are those for whom higher level requirements already apply, but who don't yet have an adequate energy supply outside of the free refills. I own four glimmerdust troves, and I also had to collect from my red mushroom circles a lot to get all the glimmerdust needed. Obviously, this also takes up more energy because the drop rate is far worse than for the glimmerdust troves.
Encouragement to all, echoing and expanding. : ) This isn't as bad as the weird pig event where I got to an L5 upgrade but could NOT get further even w dedicated play. As others have said, stick in there, rely on your free refills as needed, and keep on increasing your energy droppers over time.
Glimmer dust troves drop occasionally from the deep dark cave adventure, so you may wish to focus on those until you have what feels like enough. I bought two ages ago but have about 20 now from adventure rewards.
All senior 50s (if you all don't mind my using that term) : ) went through that uncomfortable transition from saving a bit of energy and then needing the refills.... then needing the refills less and less often.... then not needing them. Just keep playin'! : D
And best of luck w collection drops!
I am at L6, have made all my hive gear now for the last level, and now mainly waiting for the beehive drops for the candles. Although I don't like the carving into my energy reserves this deeply, and much prefer less intensive events, I do appreciate, very much :
- the art work
- that we don't have to be leashed to our devices every two hours for random drops (it's own lack of intensity, v much appreciated!)
- the main prize.
Best wishes to all, incl S8 staff! Be well, all!
: )
I totally agree with you, Woodlandlady. For me this event takes the prize for being the most stressful one yet. I just reached level 4 and realised how much glimmerdust is required for the 48 hive gear required in total, 12 of which are needed before we can level up the beehive to 5.
I have 7 glimmerdust troves but I have no intention of buying more at 40 gems each. They take 4 hours to regenerate but I am not prepared to buy gems to speed up the process at 8 gems for each one.
With all the stress, worry and disruption we are having to deal with during the Corona virus outbreak we need a game to relax with, not stress us out more.
I recommend aiming to make 4-6 outfits a day. It's possible even without lots of daily energy boosts.
Glimmerdust troves drop 2-3 every time so just try not to miss those collections. Remember to fight some Mama Bears before reaching that goal. The honeycomb seems daunting but with a 6 hour collection time, it should be easy with 3 collections a day.
Are red mushroom circles the next best bet for glimmerdust or have others found a reliable source?
Also am I doing something wrong, I am only getting a drop from the wooden beehives about 40% of the time, and with a 6 hour timer, how am I meant to get 20 in time? I’ve got 3 so far from all 5 yesterday evening and all today. I really have decided to not go any further, bit frustrated to be honest. I took a break for a few months because the quests had become so repetitive, came back and tried this one and it’s now not only repetitive but impossible! However love the trees and the buzzing workshop, so am happy to stop with those. Thank goodness for the new story line !!
I tried out a few, but only kept out the Faerie Tea Party, which dropped at least one glimmerdust most collections (not all, but more than half, I would say) and has a 1 hour timer. I also got lucky with one of the trades in the royal exchange, which gave me 12 (!) glimmerdust one time. I'm pretty sure it was the one where you get "a bag of shiny baubles" (5 hour timer). The second time I did it, I only got 6 glimmerdust, though that is still nothing to sneeze at for this event.
Other than that, yes, I do believe red mushroom circles are your best bet.
ETA: Also, don't forget the Magic Garden. It's just once daily, unfortunately, but it often drops multiple glimmerdust as well.
Collecting the Beeswaxes is torturous. I have just started collecting the 35 needed for the Honey Candies. It's a drudge for candies made with wax and wool. They should taste horrible! And why are we making these delights in the Magic Forge instead of the Kitchen? I guess the magic of the Forge transforms the ingredients into a tasty little treat. All kidding aside, the graphics as usual are wonderful and I am actually enjoying this event. Happy chopping to all.
I am so happy! Got 40 honey pots, over actually and am making the last 2 hive suits!
i need 35 beeswax. which would be doable except the last 3 times i collected from the honey-houses=they gave me 1. yes one. each collection of the 5 houses yielded one beeswax. i have ****ed all the mama bears i need. i have 3 suits left to make. just that beeswax! thank god i ****ed all the mamas needed and made almost all of the suits. i was stuck on that first round of beeswax for a long time. it took at least 3 or 4 days to get 20.
