I'm really sorry! I have tournaments like that. Have you tried Pandaffodil? Sometimes a common will do the trick. Good luck! Please let us know how you did.

Ooooh like this one, and pleased it's only a short one. Iv never even got close to getting the prize in the tournaments it's so frustrating. Iv completed story books and won leader boards but can't get these at all.
Can't see what the problem is Iv been following the forum tips on here for the last few which has helped a bit, but still no goal. Im at level 45 have 77 creatures and 3 are ultra rares so I don't get it, really thought I'd be able to do these by now it's very annoying. I almost don't try now as it never gets me anywhere. Really hope I might have a chance this time?

Lvl 10 rainbow is fine, if you want alternatives did you see the charts on page 1? They show what to use against all the elements

Thanks I'll have a better look at those. This is only my second tournament I got to round 40 something on the G.I Joey and didn't finish I was so disappointed after making it so far. This time I set a timer for every hour to hopefully give me a better chance of getting the Poodle. I used my Tiger and it worked like a charm. On to round 15

Try using Eluzyion's strengths list (first post), it has helped me a lot. She lists them as individual elements rather than combo elements, and that has helped me to figure out which elements to choose as the secondary element. The 2ndary seems to be very important. e.g.: for nature/fire creatures, it's easy to find online that fire/water/gem are strong against it, but if you look at her list, u can see that RB & BS are strong for the individual elements, so you can choose animals with those elements as secondary

No water on earth.. Use nature, you need a strong against earth with strong or neutral against shamrock

For earth use nature, gem, magic or BS
Elec is strong against shamrock but can't use it because It's weak to earth, skull is strong to shamrock
So use any of the ones strong against earth, that does not have elec secondary

Try using Eluzyion's strengths list (first post), it has helped me a lot. She lists them as individual elements rather than combo elements, and that has helped me to figure out which elements to choose as the secondary element. The 2ndary seems to be very important. e.g.: for nature/fire creatures, it's easy to find online that fire/water/gem are strong against it, but if you look at her list, u can see that RB & BS are strong for the individual elements, so you can choose animals with those elements as secondary

R or RB is Rainbow and BS is birthstone ;) you don't have to use the exact animal, you'll see a letter after the animal used that shows which element was used such as N - nature, F fire etc concentrate on the element strong against opponent's :)

I only use 4 animals for all round in here: lv15 seamonkey, lv 15 sunfish, lv 15 twillight troll and lv14 CU. Only use 6 elements but just easy to beat all of those enemies :)

Based on feedback from other members, some tournaments are more difficult for players. A player would find this tournament easy and difficult in the next series of tournament, kind of random I think. I had a total fail in the previous tournament right from the very 1st battle like you; it was brutal compared to previous tournaments which were challenging but not brutal as that. That tournament took me 4 to 6 attempts for each round, 12 attempts for one particular round.

Try the suggestions by other players in the tournament thread. I used ******s L12 (n,n,N) for Round 1. I've merged your bug thread to the tournament thread so others can help you with what they used. I hope you get through Round 1 and that the rest of them are easier for you. :) Don't give up. Cheering you on.

Sorry @StefaninaFla I hope it's not too late, but I also used ******s L12 for round 1. You can also try Ancient Sloth & Twilight Troll (using nature for both) if you have them, I had good results with them for the doodle poodle in this tourney. Many times you have to try an animal more than once or twice before they hit critical. I would decide on your best bet and just keep trying that one animal.

Let's all be calm and not be angry with each other. We all know we can only win 1 animal per tournament right from the start. This bug was a mistake and it was unintended. At the end of the day, all players who completed the tournament got their reward. A few players probably managed to hatch one or two more because they gem through the hatching or have additional nests which costs 250 gem and 500 gems for the 2nd and 3rd nests etc. Let's not fault honest players for doing what is correct by reporting nor blame others with additional capabilities to hatch more. We all got our 1 poodle which we all won. I do believe Storm8 did the best and swiftest resolution to have this fixed as fairly as possible, under the difficult and unusual circumstances.

We asked various questions about the probability of critical hits in this forum but never got official responses from Storm8. One of the most frequently asked questions is why common animals seem to render critical hits more easily than Super/Ultra Rare animals. Actually this is more of a fact now. This doesn't make sense. It would discourage us from feeding so much food to raise these expensive creatures.

Just to test I used the same animal in the last tornament where we had repetitive elements to battle and I found no battle fatigue. Certain animals hit critical more often than others regardless if rarity or level and you have to test them a lot to find which ones do. Is it the ones used most increase due to battle training? Don't know, but if I can skip using the same animal multiple times in a row with success then personally I don't think they fatigue, if anything imo each has its own % to critical hit, whether use helps or not I can't say, but element and certain animals that just hit critical more often are what I go by. Everyone probably has they're own ideas/strategy to pick their favorite battle team :)

Look, I'm a very honest person. I'm the person who returns the money when the clerk gives me too much change. I found money at an ATM in Walmart once and turned it in. I found a $20 bill on the floor of a different Walmart once and turned it in, even though there was no way to trace it back to the right person. On my main acct, I have 4 nests and when I won,I immediately hatch 2 eggs as I knew that the bug would be fixed.

I'm kind of sad they took away the extra Doodle Poodles. It was really funny to go through my storage and see that ridiculous number!

With regards to events, 4200 Doodle Poodles doesn't give you that much of an advantage, if any. Doodle Poodle has a hatching time of only 8 hours, which Lightning Leopard also has. You can get a Lightning Leopard for coins from the market anytime you need one. Even though Doodle Poodle is classified as super rare, it's unbreedable, so you don't get any bonus points for it being SR. Its evolution time (8 hours) is longer than those of the coin animals, so for people who don't have any animals left to evolve, I could see a bit of an advantage there. However, if you have space on your earth and water habitats to keep extra Doodle Poodles, then that space could also be used to keep extra earth and water animals you get from breeding. Most of them have evolution times longer than 8 hours.

While I don't think it was necessary to have the extra Doodle Poodles taken away, there's no need be upset about the loss of potential points in future events either - any points you could have gotten from them could easily be obtained through Lightning Leopard eggs and keeping spare breedable animals with long evolution times.

There are several schools of thoughts on this. Some think so and some not. I found that it may be the most possible or logical explanation for players who battled with animals of the correct element, higher level (L15) and category (e.g. "ultra or super rare") and continuously failed to Level 1 animals in Round 1 of tournaments. Unless these Level 1 animals hit critical hits all the time, it buffled me how better and more superior animals could lose on Round 1 for multiple times and some players couldnt get through mere Round 1. I'm still testing this theory, but it's the best so far until it's proven wrong or someone can give a better explanation.

Do you use more of your better category animals like "UR or SR" instead of your commons? I do and I might have worn them out so my commons work better while the others rest. I detailed my testing in the next post.

A tournament of 50 or 60 rounds may be too short to show battle fatigue? Besides, they get an hour of rest in tournaments vs 10 mins in battlegrounds.

Ah, I can't test like that I'm done with battlegrounds.. In the tournament I gem sped through so no hour wait. but plenty of wait til next tourney from the day I finished. I do wonder though, if making sure an animal is "locked in" first hasn't helped. For instance in scrolling for my battle choice I tap and wait vs tap and go in quickly. To, in my mind, allow the battle to recognize elements before going at it. Secondary element plays a part, I notice some use a strong element against one of the enemies and that enemy may have have a secondary that is strong against their secondary which lessens the chance of that critical hitting. Your secondary element must be strong or at least neutral to the enemy secondary so they don't cancel each other out. For ex: enemy has elec/fire, if you choose water/earth your earth is strong but water is weak to elec so may not hit critical, if you choose earth (strong against both) with service (strong against both) you should hit a critical. Still testing as some animals seem to hit critical more often over others in which case way more testing is needed but best choice is always leaving a weak element out. I've had "fresh" UR fail while a common succeeds as well so I base my choices strictly on element. I'll test more as they add to battleground, but convos like this help ;) thank you!

Ps on GI Joey tourney where same element animals came up constant I did use the same animal to beat those throughout the tournament up to RD 30 needed for SB, as I already have a Joey ;)

Also take note of which element your "enemy" is throwing in battle, most times it's their second one, but if you fail make your primary element to use strong against what they throw and your secondary strong or neutral to their other element with exceptions lol heartvark shows it throws hearts however it's a earth/fire animal to throw us off lol

so many variables! Haha for instance in "some" battles animals have a hidden stat that here could possibly be a %chance of hitting critical, is that the case here? Hard to know. Is this so that newer players can still win in battles without UR animals? Very possible. Also why IMO rarity does not play a huge part over the elements themselves.

I believe the elements, both primary and secondary, are important and I think we both play the same style. I also don't think rarity is any or huge factor, it's just baffling to me those guys losing out at initial rounds when they should not. Looks like more tests are needed, assuming I myself don't get battle fatigue first lol. That first round lvl 1 baby is a beast! And I also remember the 900 Gift Boxer and 200 Evening Bat, it was good times we had 2 animals monthly and the animals of all the events new.

I remember the Gift Boxer. I managed to hatch 2 of them. I don't remember the Evening Bat glitch, though. I only had room for one Doodle Poodle, so that is all I have, and that's ok. Wow, I did *not* remember that it was 4200 Poodles! holy cow!
