Tips about the Event

1. Read the Monster Hunt thread in the Hub - all information is linked above for convenience.

2. Where to collect from to get a beast:

* Glimmer Golem - all horses, clydesdales, (not horses from Baron's Tent)
* Blue Dire Boar - dead tree (once a day)
* Naga- cows, pigs. Gem cows seem to have a much higher spawn rate.
* Fangbeasts - all normal animals (cows, chickens, pigs), Hot Pepper, Carrot, Trees, some Buildings (stable, hatchery, farmhouses), Fangbeast Trap (5 gems), Glimmeregg Bunny, Season 5 Training Dummy
* Level 5 Jousting Arena - spawns a random beast at collection - skunkupine, fangbeast, dire boar (they all drop silver tokens once defeated)
* Season 5 Training Dummy - spawns a fangbeast (not every time)

The Clydesdale horses should now spawn the glimmer golems. :)

I spoke with the team about the Naga dropping tokens and they agree with you! You should see them drop tokens starting now (Please restart your game to be on the safe side).

Good news! The Naga trade will be permanent *IF* you had a Naga from a previous event OR you get the Naga during this event. :) The team figured the players would really like a new royal trade ;)

This goal is triggered by collecting from a Naga (new or existing). Once you collect you get the following dialogue. There are no goals associated with this update in the Royal Exchange.

Old Thomas: Word travels fast, Young Ruler. Rumor has it a Naga has recently been summoned to the Kingdom. They provide very valuable resources that can be traded for coin. When you have a chance, perhaps stop by the Royal Exchange.

I figured it was a mistake last time that they just let go.

For those that gave up on the training dummy last season I clicked on it and it spawned a fang beast....also don't forget about your jousting arena, loralie's fountain and your season 1 statues.

Well, looks like this hunt won't be as amazing as the last one. So disappointed that S8 didn't listen to us. Everyone absolutely LOVED the last hunt, so I just don't understand why they would do this.

I just collected from all of my horses and not one golem. And once again, no fangbeasts to be found.

I spent a lot of money during the last hunt because it was so fun. Won't be spending anything on this one.

That's exactly what I did. I think the royal naga dropped a fin, and I got the pop up. The trade is for fins and shell armour, and yields 40,000 coin, I think. Since the chopped naga also seem to drop those parts, it could prove very lucrative. Takes 8 hours, though.

This is only my second monster hunt I loved the last one because of the purple monster it does take a lot of energy but the return was awesome I'm a little disappointed that they don't spawn as frequently as last time. I just got my last gold coin this morning from my beatbane display to be able to finally craft the MRC which I haven't had yet. Where is the best spot to spawn dire boars?
I'm going to give the nagas a miss seeing as I already have one from a previous event and they don't drop tokens other than the naga ones, so I'm thinking I'll hunt dire boars so I can trade tokens for gold tokens. I still don't have the MRC or a cabbage hut so makes more sense for me to aim for those.

It's a pretty big bummer that the Naga is not dropping any regular tokens like the flyger did. I really don't need more naga fins or seaweed. I am pretty maxed on both and have no use for the fins except the Elven exchange. Nagas are my least favorite monster so I will probably only stick to one unless it drops rare needed items for the mermaid update. Have to agree that this one is a bit of a let down after the last one.

I clicked on three stables, two hatcheries, 21 chickens, the bunny, a well, ten ponds, and nothing spawned. No, I do not have a monster on my board. My other two energy were used on collecting from the kitchens so I could start crafting two more noodle dishes to reduce wasting eggs.

As you are asking for feedback! It would be great if the crafted naga from this hunt dropped some of the items related to the new storyline 'What Storms May Come', apart from seaweed. That would tempt me to go for one, or even maybe two :)

And yes, I agree with others, it would be good if the spawned nagas also drop other tokens.

I saw the locked trade in the Exchange went & collected from my Royal Naga, got the conversation with OT & the trade was unlocked. So that's it. Collect from an existing Naga or craft the new one to collect from it to open the trade.

Are farmhouses really the best way to spawn fangbeasts? I was hoping to get some from chickens since I could use the eggs more than I could use the coins.

I just started the mermaid quest. Is there a reason for me to have more than one naga?

I have never focussed on the fangbeasts daily trade, but this morning I've already gotten more than 5 from cows. So farmhouses are just one way to trigger them. If you'd prefer coins over milk and hide then spend energy on building collections over animal collections. There's no right answer...you have to play what works for you. :)

So far loving this hunt! My naga unlocked the new Naga Hunter Trade, so it will be nice to collect a bunch of coins in the morning. This trade will help replenish a lot of the coins I've been using on the coral event.

The gold peacock is beautiful! And it's great to have another hunt to build up some tokens. The fangbeasts have been a little elusive, even from the farmhouses. But I'm happy with the Naga spawn rate from the cows. They spawn a little less frequently from the pigs, but I'm getting a decent amount to battle.

I agree with the suggestion to make a bundle available with 15 minutes of unlimited energy. Thanks RealGoblinKing for passing along our suggestions to the team! And your posts have been really helpful! :)

I think it's worthwhile to keep the sound on during this hunt. I was collecting from my cows, and then noticed a Naga had sprung up near my fish markets. I hadn't even been near my fish markets. I could be wrong, but I don't think so... it's possible I had triggered it before I went to my cows. My sound was turned way down, so I'm not sure. Strange.

Ok. I didn't realize Nagas spawned from cows. Mystery solved. But Naga wasn't anywhere near where I was tapping.

But not for a few months, please, to let us tackle the mermaid.

I do so, so hope that beast hunts continue to be regular.

This is only my second monster hunt. A great piece of advice I read on the forum from the first hunt is to move your trade wagon away from what may spawn monsters - especially the golem. Otherwise, you may have coins to trade in but will be unable to until you defeat the monster.

I think it's really a matter of personal choice. I also have 2, the Royal one from a past event and the faerie one from the barons tent. But I am planning to craft this one too.
My reasoning is that an extra Naga (or two) will help me collect items for the trade faster. I try to keep the exchange going at all times and 8 hours is perfect for overnight trades. Plus, those much maligned gold coins are suddenly very welcome drops for many players. Lol
The nagas often drop one energy, which often makes collecting from them energy neutral, so no big energy loss there.
I am also hopeful that S8 might add other uses for their drops, and/or add extra drops that may be helpful for the mermaid or future storylines.
And I almost forgot......fighting the nagas is required for one of the daily challenge goals too, so since the tokens are adding up from that, I figure I might as well craft a monster with them.

I do think it's great that the Naga has returned so that newer players or those who missed it the first time around will now have a chance to have one. Soooo.....S8, please consider doing that with some of the other earlier event items as well?? :)

As you are asking for feedback! It would be great if the crafted naga from this hunt dropped some of the items related to the new storyline 'What Storms May Come', apart from seaweed. That would tempt me to go for one, or even maybe two :)

The Nagas *do* have a chance to drop the Ocean Reef and the Blue Anemone. ;) Plus the naga trade in the royal trade building can help with coins and permits

A fix will be out shortly to address the golem not spawning with the horses. Fangbeasts spawn from farmhouses, so please be sure to collect from those.

About the fangbeasts: I check my farmhouses, glimmer bunny, hatchery, stables, crops that attract them. I'm lucky to get one fangbeast a day, even if I clear 40+ crops of peppers. And I always make sure no monsters are parked on my board by having the music playing.

The lack of fangbeats was my only complaint with the last hunt. :)

I just crafted my first naga and I'm so happy that it isn't a 2x2 animal. I was honestly getting a little worried because the naga we spawn and fight looks quite large and in the past, however large the spawned animal is, that's how large the crafted animal is. Thank goodness it's standard 1x1 animal size, I had no clue where I was gonna shove the thing if it was as big as the flyger.

Yes, I have gotten one gold token from the unicorn. I've collected every day since getting it. I get other tokens from it quite often as well and always some energy...usually 6, I think, but it might vary. Very happy with it and just crafted another one to keep it company.

It really depends on personal playing style.

The cabbage hut gives an advantage for prizes in the barons tent (yes, it can be crafted even if you haven't purchased one for gems. It's possible to own 2 this way.) Keep in mind that the prizes do change, and daily alicorns do appear occasionally, but there is no guarantee when or how often.

The MRC provides an opportunity to craft various animals with various drops, including some that drop energy. These crafts are always available. This is a good choice for those who have the beastbane display, as it allows the MRC to be used outside of hunting seasons.

Lorelei's fountain does have a rare chance to drop gold tokens, but only during hunting seasons. For other drops, regular ponds are more helpful.

The hunt ends in 5 days, regardless of what you do or do not collect/craft. You can craft as many or as few nagas as you please during this time.

They regularly drop 5-8energy and 5 spellbound dew for me , so I think a worthwhile investment.

Max on the glimmers is 40.ok. I tap too fast sometimes, so it's hard to keep up with drops.
The armoured Ali's still have good drops of silver, jewels, armor(I think), but I used to get mithril a lot more often than I do now, almost every day. It's more of a rare drop now. At least it seems that way to me, but it could be because I'm needing more of it now than ever before. It's "when I need it, I can't find it" effect.
Adding: I love the Hub. Just read where armoured manticore drops mithril. Went to collect and got one. YES!

I clicked on three stables, two hatcheries, 21 chickens, the bunny, a well, ten ponds, and nothing spawned. No, I do not have a monster on my board. My other two energy were used on collecting from the kitchens so I could start crafting two more noodle dishes to reduce wasting eggs.

The coins do not expire, they will remain in your inventory. The coin trades will leave the trade wagon until the next hunt.

Ps I feel the same about fangbeasts. I rarely complete the novice daily. And when the hunt ends, they will be a plague again. :-/

Monster hunt is entertaining, great. More glimmer golems in the day is a good idea.
Just one comment that has already been mentioned - I too often complain about too much fangbeast in the "normal game", but once the monser hunt starts, their numbers are low so they do not pay to hunt. There is too much energy to be discovered.

I have the best luck with chickens, but the spawn rate is definitely low. Although I'm going through a lot of eggs, so I don't mind.

As Spiritwind said, just pick the one that will work best for your goals and work towards that first. The cabbage hut is not a bad investment at all. It allows you to store up rotten cabbages and use them when there is a prize you want in the barons tent. It is a long term investment.

For the short term, I can only tell you what I have personal knowledge of and that info may help you decide what to go for first.

-I have 3 unicorns and have yet to see a gold token drop. They do sometimes drop regular tokens. Also energy, usually about 4, although I did get 100 once. I do plan on getting the fourth one because I love all energy sources regardless of other drops.
-I have all 4 armored alicorns and I wouldn't trade them for anything! They have the same chance of energy drops as all other daily alicorns, and I've also gotten light armor and iron ore from them.

-I have crafted 2 golden peacocks and one of them has dropped a golden egg twice. The other one is just a fancy chicken who drops regular eggs. They try to drop jewels and seeds occasionally, but I'm usually maxed. They are very pretty, but not a reliable source of golden or any other drops, except plain old eggs IMO.

-I have 2 cabbage huts (the trade one and the gem one) and although the barons tent is often a disappointment, I'm happy with the huts, because when there is a prize I'm interested in, I am always prepared to 'win' it.

The first day of this hunt, the extra golems were not spawning. Since then the issue has been corrected and all players should be able to spawn multiple golems now.

Last hunt I got the beastbane display, which has truly proved it's value, and I have been saving up for a second hut, only 11 more to go.

I did buy a peacock as it was only 5 gold tokens, but I have yet to see it cough up anything golden, so more peacocks are not a priority. I have 4 kitchens and don't need the cooking camp. I still haven't crafted the rulers locket, but with the beastbane display I am compfortable I can get it before too long if needed.

With the next hunt a new item will be added that will scramble the priorities again, so maybe we shouldn't put too much thought into long time planning :)

Last time around I was inundated with jeweled and marble gates. This time around I'm trying to remember and do the Silver Trade as often as possible so I can get some walls to go with all those gates. I don't need any paths so I only do the Bronze Trade if I absolutely have to. I do agree it would be nice if the next hunt they mixed in some new items.

They have more than likely been playing a lot longer than that. The dates on here are dates players joined the forum, not necessarily when they started playing the game.

I (she) have 2 winter bakeries from some qeust WAY back. Maybe I bought one of them with gems, can't remember

I started playing during the love shack event so I missed that (snif). Struggled for quite some time without the fantastic aid of this forum (but then, events were not quite as hard back then), and have been lurking long before joining. Guess that's a very common story.

Nagas are good for evening tokens out a bit since they don't yield shields which the golems fill you up on.

This season the Lorelei's Fountain has been pretty rubbish for me. On my main game I've had it since it first became available and this hunt I've had only one gold token from it. I'm wondering if the tokens somehow dry up after a time? I even put it in storage and then got it out again to see if that would help.

On my second game I just managed to create it during the last hunt and it has dropped 3 gold tokens this season.

I've always been a big fan of the fountain, but am beginning to think I may have been mistaken. I guess it pays for itself over time, but maybe the gold tokens are better saved to spend on something else?

Added later: and I'm sorry I bothered with the peacock - no gold there - the drops are just the same as for the chickens. Crafting the unicorn now, though I suspect I should have gone for the glimmer ali but there's such a romance to the idea of a unicorn.

Though the unicorn drops of tokens are random and not every time, unlike the Beastbane. I haven't been lucky enough to get a gold token from my 2 unicorns yet, though others have.

Though the unicorn drops of tokens are random and not every time, unlike the Beastbane. I haven't been lucky enough to get a gold token from my 2 unicorns yet, though others have.

After I posted about rare spawn rates for fangbeasts I have been getting a lot more and have completed the daily quests...ty. I played for a long time and wanted monster hunts so bad but it seemed like a long time between hunts. I think it was over a year or more since i started playing till the last monster hunt not to long ago and this hunt came super fast after the last one which is so awesome...I was just curious if we will be getting more monster hunts sooner in the future. I do hope so its taken so long to save up for MRC and I only need 1 more gold token to get it if these 2 monster hunts did not happen it probably would have taken another year to get....a couple months ago the game got so boring I quit playing daily but the last 2 months has gotten much runner I play daily again and spend money again....ty storm8 for listening and even helping when I bought unlimited energy and my game crashed before I finished using my time...I contacted them and they quickly gave me the missing time....sooooo much positive stuff lately I hope it keeps going. I hope in the future those of us that started playing later than others might get a chance to get some of the cool things like love shack and winter bakery we hear about on forums but sadly missed. OK so after all that the question is do you think we will be getting more monster hunts sooner in the future than in the past when it seemed a long time in between hunts...

that is odd! Maybe put your Naga in inventory and then set it back out. I really don't know. I'm just throwing something out there. I would be interested in what's going on. Keep us posted.

I'm getting quite a few fangbeasts now that I crafted the Naga...weird. They started spawning from cows and I just got 3 while collecting from my chickens.

Thanks to those who offered congrats on sister sister....if I never see another dark seed it will make me very happy!

Princess Lorelei's fountain has been generous this time...I'm getting a gold token every day during this monster hunt. I don't think I had any drop last time from there.

Chickens continue to attract fangbeasts. This is the second day in a row I finished that fangbeast quest. And the first 2 times I finished it for the entire monster hunt. Thanks pet Naga for making fangbeasts appear!

The other day I asked if anyone had received gold tokens from their unicorns as I had not. However the magic of the forum came through and I did finally get a gold token drop. I was already happy with their energy drops but the gold tokens really elevate their worth in my mind.

I just saw that the stone naga is on sale at 200 gems instead of 400. I was wondering if anybody knows if this statue would be dropping anything useful after the monster hunt is over, or maybe would drop token during next monster hunt?

I noticed you can also collect from other naga's in your kingdom: I had 3 from previous events, Royal Naga, Faerie Naga and Fireworks Naga.

I think I would hunt just enough Nagas for the energy crate. That is one of the daily hunts that show up. Also the extra tokens will add up.

They drop the sword & staff tokens so I do the challenge just for those hard to come by staff tokens.

Funny I always have enough staff but sometimes get short on sword tokens. In past hunts is was the opposite

It does drop tokens in between hunts but they seem to be rare. Some players have reported that they get them often but others only rarely. I seem to fall somewhere in the middle with my 2 unicorns getting something every couple of days.

Normally yes. But make absolutely sure the game doesn't reset (which happened about 3 or 4 times to me this evening) and the craft is still going before you leave the game.
I have crafted 2 naga's in both my kingdoms, got Lorelei's fontain in one kingdom and got a lot of gold tokens (more than before). So I'm pretty happy.
