Timing of Gold Sales

So I had a Gold sale going on the last couple of days; before all the relisted dragons and habitat hit the Market. Why do they run the sales before update day and then remove them when new content is issued? This means that you have no idea how much gold you'll need in order to purchase everything you want. It just doesn't make sense to me.

They're randomly offered so there's no correlation between when a player might have a Gold sale versus when x content is out.

When Gold Sales are offered like that I know that they want us to buy around the corner, now I am not buying anything, habitats not happening as I don't know when I am going to run out of land, dragons no as I don't have the habitats to house them and gold no way.

If a new GDP appeared I would probably buy it!
