Android version compatibility

I'm coming back to the game after a hiatus of 4-5 months and found out that the version on the Play Store is not compatible with my device. I have a pretty new Samsung phone with Android 7.0 so I'm really confused.
So far I've been playing with the old version I had installed on my phone but I would hate to miss out on future updates.
Does anybody have the same issue? Will there be any updates to the game to make it compatible again?

I believe their was an issue with some of the updates in the Google Play Store a while back.
Please try deleting and reinstalling the newer versions to see if this resolves your issue.

Thanks kooky, I'm a little afraid to uninstall because if the issue persists and I cannot install the new version I'll have nowhere to play on...

Uninstalling worked :) once I did it the update showed up in my play store as available to install. Thanks for the help!
