Mapping quest

When I send a dragon to go on a map quest it brings back coins or food but no maps. Help

This isn't a bug. Mystic Maps are a rare drop from this quest. Other rewards include Food and Coins. :)

I wish the devs would consider in those cases when the rare item is not achieved the quest would complete in a quicker time.

I've had similar issues. About a third of the time I send a magic dragon out for crops and it returns with coins. Weird.
