I have marshmallow at 15 and it's awesome. I plan to keep petal around 4-6 just to take out the early tournament levels :)

If coins are an issue, Petal at lvl 4 makes 1680, Marshmallow at 15 makes 762.

Wow, I didn't know Fire was so strong at level 15. If I remember right a player name Bastian used to use his level 15 Fire to beat champions out of the arena. Since Pyramid is now a hybrid, I may use Fire more against them.

...I didn't realize they changed the Pyramid to a hybrid until I saw your post. I was waiting for this particular dragon for a long time, now that I finally acquired it, they switch its type. I was even thankful to them for giving us the opportunity to get it in the leaderboard. Now everything is change. I take back whatever gratitude I had for them. It was the only good thing they did and they ruin it.

They should not be able to change our dragons that we own. It's like owning a BMW and turning it into a Toyota (no offense to Toyota owners). We own it, doesn't make it right for them to change it.

(Luckily, I only raised him to 7, was waiting for a good leaderboard to raise him all the way to 15, but guess I'll have to save my 3.5 millions apples and investments in DS. And this is one of the many reasons why they lose business).

I do get your point about the BMW being bait and switched to a Toyota - this is definitely not a cool practice. The reason I heard about Pyramid being reduced to a hybrid is that there were a lot of complaints from people not being able to find the Hidden Oasis habitat in their storage after the Leaderboard to which I found ridiculous. If people got that dragon then they got the habitat first and my theory is just like many people, the ones complaining either sold their habitat before hatching Pyramid or they just aren't paying attention the mods advice to them to check under the ALL tab.
I just didn't understand why they would bow down to those folks by reducing the Pyramid to a hybrid instead of just selling the Hidden Oasis for 500 gold like they used to.

I'm thinking that I'll take the Petal to a 15. Coins aren't an issue, its food. It's not a huge difference between the two to go to a 15 and Petal is a super rare, so I like her chances.

That reason sounds pretty BS to me. I mean that could be true with certain "special" people not being able to locate their habitat which they just received along the same time as Pyramid (sounds pretty far fetch, but fine, I'll accept that). But using that excuse to change the type of the Pyramid dragon, no, not cool. I rather they be upfront about it and say they're changing the type to "even" out the battle probability. Even that is pretty upsetting, but that reasoning is still better than "duuur...players can't find the habitat, gonna change the dragon type now".

High pink/ purple or passion, diamond etc that you would normally use for a champion :) Marshmallow (15) worked for me (pink/purple/yellow) or try Prankster, Petal, Fool, Knightmare, Triple Rainbow, Divine, Tulip. Good luck :)

I've just finished the tourney. It was surprisingly straightforward, with there not being any really nasty champs (*cough* Glasswing *cough*). Hermit went down easily to Music (ticking off a bingo task in the process), and Strength went down to Metal. My full results at the top of page 3.

Can someone tell me what dragon that are not very rare (like diamond dragons and champion dragons), breedable, but still very efficient?

Triple colours are harder to breed, but really good in battle. Pink/purple dragons seem to be very good. I find the tales dragons that I've fed up to high levels are often good in battle (although other people don't always agree) and the most useful tool is the type chart. Get as many good colours against the opponent as possible!

Only one that gave me trouble so far is Strength. Diamond 14 and Pyramid 12 both lost. Twice for Diamond. But once again, Forgefather 14 came to my rescue!
I might actually finish this tourney, the first one in a few months I could finish.

Yea...one of the easier tourneys. Only 3 losses. Took my sweet time completing it. Enjoying my lil break from events (not really participating leaderboard since the milestones and prizes aren't really impressive, plus I'm still dissatisfied with the Pyramid change that I let it get beat up in this tourney for being an eyesore).

Yeah! All my Blue habitats are full and I don't have time, money, or space for anything but a Red habitat. They need to change Old Hermit to Blue\Red. :p

That dreadful thought went through my mind. I am peeved at their antics. Nerf maybe an accepted adjective but I just think it's downright shonky. Then expect me to believe there is no tinkering in the tournaments.

This tourney went remarkably well for a change no queue out the door for the spa.,with a more acceptable number of rounds for the time frame.

Just finished the tournament. Not too bad. Last couple levels were hard but I managed.

Because you have a % chance with every dragon. As I recall, every dragon has at least a 10% chance of winning, and no dragon has more than a 90% chance of winning. So every battle there's a chance you will lose. No dragon is a guaranteed win, sometime you might use the same dragon twice, and the first time it loses and the next time it will win. Battles won't happen exactly the same each time, because the whole thing is chance, like gambling.

Diamond has a good chance against Champs and Blues. I attacked the Strength's Blue element with the Seeker level 14 and it took Mbb. A high level Genie might have done as well. At level 20, there's not a lot of differences in the odds against this dragon. You could get lucky with anything 7 and above.

This event sucks for android users. This is the second tournament in the last three, where I had to give up because a level 20 champ couldn't be beaten...each time I lost 15 times in a row. No problem with the other dragons , just the champs. I think there is a glitch in their programming. Anybody else with this problem?

This is a common problem for many of us. Go back and look at prior tournament posts. Many of us get stuck like this on champs that are less than a level 20. Not an android specific problem.
