How do I request food items and how do I request materials?

You cannot request food, but to request parts, you go into the oven you're looking to build, click the part you need, and click request (and tap up to 20 neighbors each day)

You can't request for food but you can ask your neighbours to send food as gifts to you. You can add your ID and find others looking for neighbours who gift food in the Add Me forum. http://forums.storm8.com/forumdisplay.php?72-Add-Me or you can post on your wall or existing neighbours' wall and ask them to send you food gifts.
