You get 1 cash every time your factory reaches the second key level. Other then that, you need to spend real $ if you want more.

How do I earn more cash in city story?

You can either:
1) Buy it with your credit card within the game store, or in iTunes App store once the premium apps are available for sale.
2) Download promotional applications when they are offered, which seem to be very rare for the Team Lava games compared to the Storm8 ones.
3) Do the factory missions to get a certain number of keys, which sometimes gives you a cash point.

i think the fact that you have to buy city cash is absurd. i rarely pay for apps...why would i spend actual money on virtual cash??? doesn't make sense to me. they should at least have more promotions you can choose as a method of getting more city cash.

This is part of the business model of these types of games... get you hooked on the free everyday stuff so you want to spend real money on decorations and enhancements. It's not going away, they rely on it to pay the bills.

This topic has been well covered with FS. It's a free game. Team Lava has to make payroll somehow. Personally, I buy 5US$ worth of gems or cash from time to time to show my support and help with payroll.

I have a DsiXL and follow the Professor Layton series, now these games are ?29.95 each. I've played City and reached level 30 only spending a quarter of that. My point is I believe it works out cheaper or maybe this same.

Yes, freemium games need to make a profit. Who does not? It's the way they go about it that is so objectionable. I don't mind supporting a company and buying the in-house currency, but not when I'm being lied to, *****ed (as in accidently touching something that takes my gems), being *****ed out of coins and time by buggy apps and no communication from the company whatsoever. If TL does something good, I try to reward them for their good behavior by buying gems. But what with the porn all over this forum and their flat out refusal to do anything effective to remedy it, among all the other issues I am not willing to spend any more. Not only do they not have any business sense, they have no respect for their customers..none.
