We're checking out the issue with the appliance items not being in the gifting area. Right now, you should be able to request them from neighbors through the appliance, but the team is working on fixing the items so you can gift them.

Be aware that you can only receive 20 a day. Sending out 70 will create a logjam and take 4 days to fill.
Also remember that no one is looking for goals on a Friday, so may not be checking constantly.

Something odd in requests...

According to the feed, 7 people had responded to my request but the construction count is 4/7.

I haven't requested anything else for days and closing game etc had no effect.

No wonder it takes so long to build sometimes.

The count vs feed has always been way off, not representative of credited parts but it's always been off the opposite direction---only a fraction of gifts appear in the feed "A friend responded to your request".

Unsurprisingly, I love it! Not only is it hometown goals (hi mikepastry!) but I was already doing a my-favorite-things theme this month, starting with my favorite meal, breakfast--so it fits right in already! And will fit even more when I get to my fave city!

Past that, it looks like it will match well with the last NYC theme, and it's really nice to flesh that out. At the time, I was one of those objecting to the central park picnic final prize being not NYC-specific enough, but these prizes are more obviously here. Very happy! Gonna go get started now!

Finally getting around to posting my thoughts on this update :)


I really like the two wallpapers we got! It's neat that they work together and we can place them side-by-side :) I'd love to get more of these moving forward
It's also really, really nice that we got a crate to go with the goal content - the goals and crate together give so many items to fully flesh out the Broadway/NYC theme :)
I love love LOVE the box prizes! Even though the box theme itself is musicals, I really like how versatile the individual prizes are - the applicable theme of Halloween comes to mind, of course, but there are some prizes (like the adorable Little Redhead!) that could function just as easily in an everyday setting, which I really appreciate :)
The new box being on sale for 12 gems was also a huge plus, and in combination with the point above, a great incentive for me to try this box out. This is also something I hope continues with future boxes, and I'd love to see this box on sale again in October for Halloween
Thank you also for giving us the box prize information - it was really helpful to receive this so quickly after the update came out :) #MMBAppreciation
Haven't gotten to the 2nd appliance yet, but the first appliance recipes look GREAT, and I really, really like the design of the 2nd appliance. I feel like I can place it down in a street-side/carnival/boardwalk setting and it would look completely in place. It looks as decorative as it does functional, and I'd love to see more appliances like this as well.
Nowhere near this in my current progress, but... I'm really hopeful for the final prize! From the preview, it appears that duplicate pieces could connect together to form a mega-bridge, and if that's the case, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS PRIZE BE FOR COINS!

Another Empire State building? There's only one Empire State building ? I couldn't put out two, it just wouldn't be right. ;)

Also, I have found it difficult to incorporate into my design previous bridges that only have one span. Much more effective to have multiple spans. Would be nice if this additional copies of this goal item could be purchased for coins.

I really dislike the new wallpaper. Much prefer the previous cityscapes released. Fortunately, buying a different wallpaper counts towards the goal.

Love the new tiles! ( wish we could rotate tiles.) oriented one way they look like stairs. They kind of create an optical illusion.

And yes, the Chrysler building would be nice. I really love the Chrysler lamp that I think I was a box item in bakery story.

All these goals have old parts, stock up on those always. Once goals are over stock up on new parts you might need them later. I usually only have to request new parts, always have good inventory of old parts since I only accept parts as gifts. Sometimes I go through my inventory and gift my neighbors any part I'm low on, so I can get that gifted back.

Some people have been playing for a long time. They've stocked up on all the random parts, so when the goal comes out they only need to collect one part for each oven.

They have good neighbors who accept their requests, send them what they need, etc.

Some people use gems to speed it along. The gems don't cost *that* much and they enjoy the game so they're willing to spend the cash. I buy gems in BS. I'm not slamming people for using gems. I don't buy them in RS, so also not slamming people for not buying them. It's a personal decision, no right and wrong there.

So, there you have it. That's how people bang through goals so quickly.

You're right, it is bigger than I thought but it would still look more realistic with several, not just one. Unless it has space around it that prevents a snug fit side by side, spoiling the grouping.

I am THRILLED with the $5/$6 coins per plate of the last 2 goals! Please keep this up, as it costs SO much to decorate and there just isn't time to earn enough coins with $2/$4 coin plates! THANK YOU! 😊

Some people just use gems to skip goal steps.

You can manage recipes by watching ads on your devices. If it's a long recipes it cuts the recipe down to a couple of hours then short recipes it's done cooking but there's a limit each day.

Yay! I like the storyline of revisiting a place we went to previously. Good job on the appliances too, they are really cute. Going to cook up some hot dogs and pretzels to go with the new recipes. ;)

I really liked the NY goal. The designs and recipes were great. Not too many parts needed to build each appliance and not too many requests for ungiftables from neighbors. Although I think maybe one ungiftable item request per goal is better than two. If the goals in the future are anything like this one I will be a happy gamer :)

Thumbs way up from me! (but you all know I'm biased). As for the format, I think it was a good level of difficulty, challenging enough without being disheartening. Two weeks is a good goal length.

For design, I think the pieces were nice, and it was good to include an old item that newer players missed. And I thought the oven designs were great! The only things I didn't like were the counter, I thought the colors weren't the best fit, and the wallpaper. I loved having a second wall that meshed with the first, I just don't like walls with roads in them--too many roads when you have a whole wall full of the design.

Also really loved the coordinating box! Really nice to have extra stuff to flesh out a goal.

Definitely a fun goal The food choices were neat I liked the pizza (Fast food is always nice) Soda would have been a great addition to the fast food I always have pizza with soda of some kind Altogether though I really enjoyed it :-)

I liked the coordination of the New York theme with the release of the Musical Crate. I really love that Crate.

I did not like the wallpaper. Honestly, I couldn't tell what I was looking at. Too abstract. Love the goal prizes, and liked being able to use some of the previous New York stuff. Loved the tables and chairs.

Would like to see recipes that yield higher quantities. The cost of the goal precludes me from purchasing much more than the required number of appliances - if I still want to make a good profit, which I do. Consequently, the yield from the new appliances is not sufficient to keep my restaurant in food. If I don't cook a lot of high-yield recipes that I've already mastered - e.g. on the basic stove, think Biscuits and Gravy, which looks dull, but gives you something like 1200 plates in 3 hours - or worse, a recipe like Lox Bagel - which goes with the theme and has high yield, but only earns you 2 coins per plate - I run out of food. You have to keep those customers eating as fast as possible if you want to expand without it taking years. So, The hotdog stand, which was offered in a goal I think a year and a half ago, and goes so well with this goal – well I only dragged it out of storage briefly, because the yields per recipe are too low and would not keep my restaurant stocked in food.

I also prefer month long goals. I haven't yet mastered all of the recipes in this goal, and already there's a new one today! Redecorating your shop takes an enormous amount of time, because you cannot swipe through the many, many pages of floor decor, etc. and once you choose something that is no longer offered in the game, like a previous goal item, to place in your shop, you are kicked back to the beginning of inventory. This makes it not so much fun to redecorate - in fact, it makes it rather tedious. Love those tables that you got from a previous goal and think that they would look so good with this new stuff? Well, it's going to take you five minutes to drag them all out of storage. That's why I am reluctant to store things that are no longer offered for sale, and one of the reasons I don't want to completely revamp my store every two weeks.

Too many parts required for these appliances. I also prefer longer recipe times, because I can't be constantly checking my game every couple of hours.

Overall, a nice goal.

I loved the New York goal and the prior Moon goal and looks like Movie will be a hit, in my humble opinion!! They are just fun to play with the colorful designs. Thank you for the artistic tables, walls and extra floor items - a step up from goals in the past ( for those of us long timers). The New York goal had great tables and chairs- loved the clever NY Cupcakes ( best designed ones ever!), ovens and counters were colorful and cute. Also, you used cake stands for the dessert - things that we have requested. The taxi cabs and bridges, etc were substantial sizes and made great additions to the restaurants - many of my neighbors have multiple bridges and use their imagination to create great scenes. I can't give enough praises to all of you for your efforts and deliverables with less staff than before!! It is hard to please everyone and you never will- there will always be a small portion of people who are unhappy. In customer surveys, they are generally most vocal. Just a thought: No one has to do a goal - and it is "just a game" played and probably designed by an international staff who don't have specific country and city expertise. To those who are critical, please remember this game is fiction. Not an app for real travel- go on line for your next vacation planning - please don't expect a game to give that precise detail. They are all doing their very best to deliver a fun and entertaining game and I am grateful to see RS is still active and not deleted. I rate 10/10

The prizes are getting better. The overwhelming amount of parts needed in a 8 to 14 day span is ridiculous. Im not going to give up my life to play these games and if I can't do the goals there is no sense playing, which means I won't spend any real money.
