only thing I hate is how random updates are :/ With Wednesdays I would always hold gifts until updates were released & even double up on gifts, which was always helpful.Now i'm not sure whether to hold or gift most days. Really, a 7 day goal? I'm begining to feel these goals are just designed to get people to spend gems to finish them. 7 days and three obscure parts that I dont even have any of even in my main bakery. Goals are no longer enjoyable. I have been forcing myself to play and then im only cooking food that is required for the goals. I have a feeling the next goal will be 5 days and then for sure im out.

Yes, the quest requires you to buy wallpaper, so placing existing wallpapers from your inventory wouldn't give credit for the goal. :)

i have checked my daughter's account, and there is no pinata in the market (either in goals section or in normal not locked items).
think it is because pinata was originally locked by 2013' cinco de mayo goals, then re-released for short time, and then removed from the market for good (except iOS bundle).
i found bobby's screen (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?80785-Re-release-of-Puebla-Oven-and-Drink-Machine&p=1098094&viewfull=1#post1098094) showing pinata costs 18k.

A good question!

My biggest beef with the goals is this counter business. If we could move food from one counter to another, it wouldn't be that big a deal and we wouldn't be frustrated. But we can't, so it is and we are.

Annoying to be sure! There is no point to having the matching counter except to stick it in storage and use it next year if the game hasn't been so frustrating that you quit playing.

i have checked my daughter's account, and there is no pinata in the market (either in goals section or in normal not locked items).
think it is because pinata was originally locked by 2013' cinco de mayo goals, then re-released for short time, and then removed from the market for good (except iOS bundle).
i found bobby's screen (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?80785-Re-release-of-Puebla-Oven-and-Drink-Machine&p=1098094&viewfull=1#post1098094) showing pinata costs 18k.
well, i hope it won't be problem for new players, and this funny donkey will just appear in the market as soon as they get there :)

Hopefully newer players that don't have the "Pinata" unlocked and bought already are able to buy it once they reach goal step required to buy it.

I'm liking what is on this update so far.
Wish the tree was just a tad taller.
How are the kiddos supposed to hit the pinata?
And the pinata animals are HUGE.

Only thing missing is new tables & chairs!
Could re-release the pueblo table and chairs I suppose.
I could use a few more.

I personally like having the goals come out on random days, like stated we have gotten used to not getting goals on the days we used to so now we dont have that expectation and now when we do get goals it's a pleasant surprise, for me at least. I do wish there were tables and chairs with this goal though. Maybe a sarape design like the counters just slightly different.

when i served, i went back to oven menu, and the 1st recipe meter shown zero, 2nd recipe meter shown ok (half of level 1).
i quit the game normally, enter again - and both meters now show zero.
i quit the game, clear cash - recheck - still zero.
then force closed - same.
then deleted & reinstalled - same zero for both recipes.

immediately after I serve one of the recipes the mastery bar for that recipe is filling up. I refresh the game, come back or serve another recipe and the previous progress is back to zero.
I have finished the goals and will stop cooking until that bug has been fixed. :confused:

This for me at least would definitely make up for the issue with this new oven and the fact that players who missed the Pueblo goals were gyped out of a drink mixer bc this was a one appliance goal. I would like to go back to at least 2 week goals bc then we would get two appliances per goal. And yes I will admit I am an appliance collector and it drives me NUTS all the ones that are locked for me that I see in some neighbors bakeries or community ones.

Yes, it's "fixed". We start all over with mastery. For those of us who have been around for 5 plus years, and have nothing left to master save for this new oven, it's no fix at all.
This game has totally lost its appeal. This is glaringly obvious when I see how many of my long-time neighbors have dropped to happiness level 0 or have simply stopped playing at all.

Mastery meters move up once you serve the food you've cooked. If your mastery meter isn't moving after serving food, may I ask which recipe is affected, in case the team needs to look into this further?

I'm glad they re-released past goal items. As I mentioned before, I didn't get to complete the goal when it was happening and missed out on the final prize. I recently pulled the trigger too soon and bought the bundle for 75 gems... Ouch, but it was my choice because I really wanted the Mariachi band. Am I bitter about it? No, because I think I got a good deal, even though I could have saved a lot of gems by just buying the Mariachi band for 23. I think the re-release is fair even if everyone else is complaining about it because you DON'T have to buy anything if you don't want to. This is a LTO of past goal items. How often do we get these? Almost never... And I've missed 2 yrs worth of goals that I wouldn't mind paying gems for if I really wanted them and they were re-released. With this sale, everyone can purchase only what they really want but I think we have to remember the basics of this game. It's free to play but if you want the goods then be prepared to pay for them... Although prices must be kept reasonable and 15 gems for an oven is a bit steep; everything else seems fair IMO.

I recently pulled the trigger too soon and bought the bundle for 75 gems... Ouch, but it was my choice because I really wanted the Mariachi band. Am I bitter about it? No, because I think I got a good deal, even though I could have saved a lot of gems by just buying the Mariachi band for 23. I think the re-release is fair even if everyone else is complaining about it because you DON'T have to buy anything if you don't want to. This is a LTO of past goal items. How often do we get these? Almost never... And I've missed 2 yrs worth of goals that I wouldn't mind paying gems for if I really wanted them and they were re-released. With this sale, everyone can purchase only what they really want but I think we have to remember the basics of this game. It's free to play but if you want the goods then be prepared to pay for them... Although prices must be kept reasonable and 15 gems for an oven is a bit steep; everything else seems fair IMO.

I agree 15 gems is kind of high for 1 appliance. Everything else is reasonable 1 gem for each chair and each table is fair, 23 gems for the mariachi band is fair as well because that one was the final goal prize for the previous Cinco de Mayo goal. It just sucks I cant serve the food I wanted to tomorrow for Cinco de Mayo bc I will be baking other things to get gems so I can get the Puebla drink mixer.

My problem was not that the meter didn't move. It moved right up to nearly "2". The problem was it kept resetting to 0 when the game was restarted. I have made the one hour recipe about 50 times. Will have to start again. I find that short time so annoying. Thanks for all the positive help, it helps.

I have an issue with my caliente oven....the meter has gone back to level 1 in all the recepies:( I've made a lot of the recepies : The 1 hour recepie went half way to level 1 and didn't move any further, allthough I've made at least 50-60 of it. The other 2 was at the end of level 2

Some of my neighbors has the same problem....did you reset all the caliente ovens ??

There was an issue with the Mastery of these recipes and had been fixed. Unfortunately, they were not able to recover progress that was made on the oven during the issue. Sorry about that. :(

(i might be wrong, i don't have ios device & bundles respectively)


if you're on iOS, you can tap the bundle and it will just pop up with the contents so you can see them, not immediately charge you like you wanted to buy it the way boxes do.

if you're not on iOS, then you can't buy the bundle anyway (and i'm not, so i don't know what's in it, sorry).

In my opinion, it is because the Puebla oven recipes are almost exact copy of the recipes from the new Caliente oven, except for the colors and names. My guess is that Storm8 did not want to re-release the Puebla oven, in order not to highlight the obvious, i.e. that the new recipes are almost exact copy of the old ones. Then, asking 15 gems for Puebla oven would make even less sense, since very similar recipes are available on another oven that cost only 15,000 coins.

But, I think, those newer users, who are very much familiar with all BS appliances of the past and who are interested in acquiring old apppliances, would still be interested in getting hold of the old discontinued appliances, no matter what their recipes resemble or not. So, Storm8, could you please make them available for us for a bit more reasonable price in the future, if possible? :)

15 gems for a drink appliance ( or any appliance) is bonkers :confused:, unless it's already built, has at least 4 new recipes and has servings per recipe that start at 5-7,000 servings,with the recipes being unique and gorgeously presented. I'll pass.

I bought the bundle for 75 gems & as I understand it, the bundle is no longer available for purchase; at least, I no longer see it in my bakery so I'm not sure... But I would not purchase it for 151 gems if that's what it is available for now. Also, both appliances were already built with the bundle, if that helps & if you didn't previously have the appliances, you'd be getting an additional 6 gems back after mastery.

So a couple things, I did purchase the Puebla Drink Mixer, but I weighed my options first. I missed the original goals so they are forever locked for me, I am an android player so the Puebla bundle is not available for me to purchase. I am an appliance collector and there is no telling when or if the mixer will be available to buy again whether for coins or gems so I grabbed one while I could.

As far as the poll and how I felt about the goal in general I voted neutral. I LOVED the theme, anything Mexican themed I'm here for it. I didn't like that it was a 1 week goal and we only got 1 appliance and then charged I'll admit a little too much to be able to have the drink mixer. I also did not like that there wasnt a table and chairs to match this goal. Other than those issues I really liked the theme.

I have to say I did not like this goal as the theme was a repeat and it was to short with only 1 oven and no chairs or tables ! Also the recipes were very similar to the ones from the last Mexican goal !

The number of freestanding decorations we received :) I like that we got six (six!) floor decorations right off the bat with these goals. It gives players the opportunity to establish the theme in their bakeries even if they didn't/couldn't participate. I also appreciate the reasonable pricing on the items priced for gems, especially the Pinata Tree
The appliance rotates four ways! This is a minor thing but a pleasant surprise nonetheless :) Would be great to see it for future appliances too
The reuse of older parts, which were relevant to the theme! :)
The recipes earn more than 4 coins per serving - this is nice to see and I hope it's a trend that continues. However, there is something peculiar about this - see Oddity #1

The recolored recipes. I was a little unhappy about this when the goal started, but having gone through it now, it doesn't bother me very much. I like the colorful plates though :)

The 7-day duration and short recipe time. I can't always check my game every few hours, so I lose time trying to get past the first cooking step - and in a short-term goal, losing time could mean not completing the goal. To make up for it and ensure I finish, I end up having to buy more appliances, which brings down my profit margin. Speaking of which...
The goal resulted in a financial loss. I'm used to this by now with mini-goals, but that doesn't make it any more appealing :(
The final goal prize costs gems for duplicates. For this particular goal set, at least, this is offset by the far less expensive Pinata Tree decoration one could use to create a similar setting, but I really do dislike final prizes costing gems.


Oddities - barring the first point, which I do feel needs addressing, these are little things I happened to notice while doing the goals

The Puerquito Rosa and Chocolate Tres Leches don't have an integer-value profit per serving :confused: Based on the figures in pcabral03's second post, the Puerquito Rosa earns around 4.87 coins per serving, and the Chocolate Tres Leches earns around 4.7. If this is an error, it would be nice to have the figures amended (and preferably rounded up :) )
The Puerquito Rosa doesn't seem to cook on anything. When they're ready to serve on the appliance, the biscuits are right on top of the stove coil
The Conchas's plate has an exceptionally dark shadow :eek:
When a customer gets a plate of Puerquito Rosa on the table in front of them, the plate "floats" which causes an overlap with neighboring customers' places

that's why i voted "agree" this time - 7days is bad.
but this is the only thing i don't like in these goals.

due to short cooking time & low servings required, i'm building only 4 apps from the moment when flash-goals first appeared.
this time, especially in view that appliance costs twice less than recently - i didn't loose anything, but in plus 266k - which is not bad even for 1month goal, nothing to talk abt 1week only :)

if to look at the flash-goals results we had before, this one shows _totally_ positive dynamics:
