Are you kidding! A tournament! Really hate tournaments but this is my birthstone pony and I want it. But I won't spend gems for it so if I win great. If I lose, I'll just need to b sad. I remember Taurus which was my zodiac animal was also an absolute nightmare.

Last tournament was also a nightmare for me. Less than 6 rounds won on the first try. Stuck on many for 7 or more attempts including Round 28 which is where I was still sitting when time ran out. I don't fully understand tournament time length. When icon appeared on my iPad, it had 5 days 12 hours and 15 minutes to go. I'm assuming this is the same for everyone no matter where you live?? When you average over 90 losses it makes it tough to get through 30 rounds in just 132 hours for those of us who have to work 9 hours a day. I can't imagine how those wonderful players who post results for all 30 rounds are able to get through so quickly - sometimes in less than 40 hours. Does this mean they mostly win on the first attempt?

P.S: I followed Sparklegirly's lead and used Enchantress L15 to defeat Diamond Pony in Rd 1 First attempt - yaaa. First hit was neutral, second critical. (sparklegirly got 1 weak & 1 critical ). Suggests our careful analysis of favoured elements to use is a bit of a nonsense and proves yet again that luck is a major factor.

With thanks to Sparklegirly, as she is often the first one through, I intend to follow her example exactly in terms of element to use. It's Saturday in Australia so I will be able to try at least every two hours or so. My target will be to get to at least Round 12 today given that Sparklegirly is already at Rd 8 despite 3 losses at Rd 5. Can I ask you Sparklegirly, when did you start? Was it really over 10 hours ago or have you used gems to speed up? Whatever, thanks for your help

this pony is absolutely gorgeous. wow. nice work team lava.
I set my alarm on my phone to go off every hour so I don't miss any chances for attacks. (except when I'm sleeping)
I do get stuck on some rounds but I usually finish as long as I set my alarm. Good luck everyone.
I did not get my birth pony which was January so I hope they re-release them next year like they did the zodiacs.

In theory, Nature is weak against Birthstone and neutral against Electric. Thus, it's not the ideal element for fighting (You need to use an element strong against one of the two elements (neutral or strong against the other) of your opponent. In Diamond Pony (Birthstone/Electric), Dark/Earth/Nature/Electric are weak against Birthstone and Water is weak against Electric. Thus, it leaves only Fire as the possible element as Fire is strong against Birthstone and neutral against Electric. Overall, Fire should give you all strong hits (higher probability to get a critical hit). However, you still can get critical hits in any combination (just with lower probabilities). I think you are lucky in this one.

Hello my dear neighbors and everyone else, I play as good as it goes. But I have difficulties with the game and unfortunately I can not bring a tournament to the end. :(

Rainbow was strong against Birthstone/Electric. Won with Grand Unicorn. Crystal Unicorn was neutral.

Music is also strong. Won with sC Tubacan. Chose him to test music with fire as my backup element, and ended up not needing the fire.

I'm trying to do what testing I can without giving up trying to get the prize. My smaller account especially needs a birthstone animal!

Here is my list of strong elements. Y'all should see my graph paper with random S, N, and W marks. It's kinda crazy. LOL I still have a lot of testing to do, and if you have anything to add, I'd love to have the info! As far as I know, I have a slot for every current element combination, even if I don't know any elements that are strong against it yet.

I know that there are theories about secondary elements and rarity and all that. I pretty much ignore those considerations when I battle unless I'm having a huge amount of trouble, when I might bump up the rarity of my fighter. I just haven't seen any consistent effect of the secondary element or the rarity, or even really the level.

Very often, the single-element animals have the best success for me. I start with what I think of as the "super elements" - Rainbow, Crystal, Treent, and maybe Birthstone. (I don't have any Gem animals, or that element would probably be in that list.) If I can double that with a basic element that is also strong against the opponent, I will often do that, i.e.: if the animal is weak to both Crystal and Dark, I will use my Jade Kirin.

A small amount of the info below I gleaned from the chart chippychan used to post in every tournament & battle thread. I'm hoping to update that with each new opportunity to test and incorporate the new elements we've gotten since.

Last tournament was also a nightmare for me. Less than 6 rounds won on the first try. Stuck on many for 7 or more attempts including Round 28 which is where I was still sitting when time ran out. I don't fully understand tournament time length. When icon appeared on my iPad, it had 5 days 12 hours and 15 minutes to go. I'm assuming this is the same for everyone no matter where you live?? When you average over 90 losses it makes it tough to get through 30 rounds in just 132 hours for those of us who have to work 9 hours a day. I can't imagine how those wonderful players who post results for all 30 rounds are able to get through so quickly - sometimes in less than 40 hours. Does this mean they mostly win on the first attempt?

The events start and end at the same moment for everyone. The local time will be different according to where you live, but everyone gets the same amount of time to complete events. The tournament started Friday afternoon in the Americas, which is Saturday morning in Australia. It will end at midnight to early morning Thursday in the Americas, which will be Thursday evening in Australia. If you only looked at the start and end date of the tournament, it might seem we get more time here, but we don't once you start looking at the starting and ending time. Thursday will have barely started in the Americas when the tournament ends, while Australians will get almost all of Thursday to work on the tournament.

I'm also doing some testing using the Reckless Roc battleground, which reminded me that I didn't have a slot for Gem opponents. LOL I forget about them because I don't have any and won't likely ever have enough gems at one time to buy one.

The Pony is beyond beautiful!!!! All of the Ponies are beautiful in their own way. I'm not sure yet which one is my favorite so far since they are all so colorful and gorgeous!!!

In theory, Nature is weak against Birthstone and neutral against Electric. Thus, it's not the ideal element for fighting (You need to use an element strong against one of the two elements (neutral or strong against the other) of your opponent. In Diamond Pony (Birthstone/Electric), Dark/Earth/Nature/Electric are weak against Birthstone and Water is weak against Electric. Thus, it leaves only Fire as the possible element as Fire is strong against Birthstone and neutral against Electric. Overall, Fire should give you all strong hits (higher probability to get a critical hit). However, you still can get critical hits in any combination (just with lower probabilities). I think you are lucky in this one.

You are so right! I lost 4 times with this one...finally got critical with fire. 4 losses on round one? I haven't won a tournament in probably a year now. Before that I won every one. Even if I used diamonds I get to the end and get stuck, so I don't use them anymore. With no hope comes no use of diamonds for me.

I have used a frostfang for level 8. I suggest you to try that. And I am also currently stuck on level 10, so I can't help you with that (for now).

I usually have good luck against Typhoon Tiger with a Service animal. Usually I use the Saintly Bernard, but basically any service element will do if you have one. If not then try cosmic. These two are good against DW combos. Best of luck.

Oh gosh round 26 made me lose my nerves. I had tried already three times without skipping and then I tried once again with snowflake drake and lost. Skipped and then tried with weasel witch, then with yang and then yin and finally won with glacial griffin. So I spent 16 gems for one round 🙄 Okay I've spent quite a few for previous rounds whenever I've lost but four skips in a row doesn't make me happy😂

BTW, my game crashes when I visit certain neighbors (& recently that includes you). But, thankfully, that's usually the only time. I really hope you win this tournament!! My best water fighters (blizzard, Alice and cancer) are just not doing it for me! Hoping I win as April is mine! And then I would have at least one animal in each of the dawn habitats lol

I'm leaving my Aquamarine Pony little cuz he's just so cute as a baby, but I can't wait to grow up this Diamond Pony. It looks much better as an adult, in my opinion. I guess I could grow up my Aquamarine Pony and then put him in a Fountain of Youth, but he belongs in a Birthstone habitat. Decisions, decisions!

LOL The so-called "Treasure" animals give you gems and use the same gem icon as the gems we buy for the game, so as far as I'm concerned, they are Gem animals. And I refuse to call the Crystal Unicorn family "Legendary" because it just sounds silly to me. The main animal for the family is the Crystal Unicorn, so I just use Crystal. I would probably go with Gemstone if that weren't even more confusing. LOL

I might surrender and change how I post it here, but honestly I think it's pretty clear what is meant if you look at the whole list. Gem/Treasure animals never have companion elements, whereas Crystal/Gemstone/Legendary animals do.

I don't think anyone lists all the elements with the same names. It's part of the fun figuring out what everybody means. ;-)

So I've just finished, spent about 100 gems speeding up from round 22 and got stuck at 23 with 9 losses on pearl peryton. I'm not a fan of these goals as tournaments but I would have paid 50-100 gems on trying to breed the impossible for the alternative approach anyway. I do find the goals more fun than the stress of a tournament, especially as I am on Android and don't see the strength or weaknesses so I used a lot of what was posted here for guidance. Thanks all and sorry to those who missed out!

NB: I used Felione 15 fire x3 for the last fight and the third hit was a crit.

Hey, thanks for everyone who has been sending the birthday wishes and regrets about the pony. Been a good birthday but I dnt think it sunk in about the pony cos every time I turned the game on today, i went to the tournament area and was then like oh...the ponys gone. 😕
