* There are 3 optional timed goals. If you do not complete this goal in the allotted time, you will only lose out on the reward.
* The timer is dependent on when you trigger the goal. You get the remainder of the S8 day you're in + full day/s depending on the goal. So, if you are going to trigger this goal, wait till your new day begins and then you will get the most amount of time. Even better, wait until you have all (or nearly all) of the resources FIRST before upgrading to the goal that triggers a timed portion.
* Keep crafting red dye ahead of time. If you were maxed on it, you still need 40 more to finish level 10.
* Ready-made Red Dye found: Witch's cauldron, Witch Alicolt
* Spring petals are *RARE*. They are only found in chopping Patches of Tall Grass and from the Spring Flower (gem purchase).
* Spring petals will only drop when they are needed.

Ruler: How delightful! I look forward to meeting her!

Ruler: Calm down, Baron. I'm sure we can get them back.
Baron: You must retrieve them at once! I'm already pushing the fashionably late deadline.

Once you defeat the spring raccoon, this dialogue is triggered:
Ruler: Here you are, Baron! I found one of your invites!
Baron: One?! Where are the rest!?
Ruler: Well, it seems as though the raccoons have distributed them amongst their group. Your party has so much hype, everyone wants to come!

If you invest 400 energy a day you should be able to finish the tea party & the event! This assumes some decent drop rate (see above) and some frequent game play (every 2 hours at least, >8 times a day):

"Day" means the elapsed days since the start of the event. So you MUST be at level 7 by day 7. As of today (April 17th), if you are not at level 5 and have made good progress toward level 6, you have little chance to make it without some boosts.

Assumptions:
+ You spend 400 energy a day on this event: 4x2 Wizard School, 1 Ali (1 week ali, or 7 daily ali), 14 hours worth of recharge
+ >8 time a day to gather & start production
+ You were fully stocked (>99) on sugar, sugar cane, wheat, flour, red petals, red dyes, etc before the event
+ You grow sugar cane & wheat on the go if needed
+ You produce sugar & flour in parallel
+ Upgrade the tea party only after your harvest
+ Diligently harvest every two hours your tea party
+ Only focus on elements strictly related to the event. Forget the rest of your economy!

It's started! Baron's grandma is coming to town for a tea party.

We're supposed to defeat Spring Raccoons by chopping tall patches of grass. I've chopped over a dozen and all I've gotten is a Skunkupine. :-/

Tea party footprint is 3x3 and requires 30 coal, 30 iron ore and 50 wood.

Baron: Greetings future ruler! A great day will soon be upon us, will it not?
Ruler: What day would that be, Baron?
Baron: You mean...you did not get an invitation to my High Tea Party? Kingom Postal Services will hear from me regarding this travesty! Mark my words!...I paid extra for express delivery, you know.
Ruler: Is it too late to RSVP?
Baron: For you, young ruler, I shall make an exception. All the finest people in the land are attending, you know. ...including, unfortunately, my grandmother.
Ruler: How delightful! I look forward to meeting her!
Baron: Yes...perhaps you might even sit next to her. That way there's less chance she offends the *important* guests.

Then a conversation between Old Thomas and the Ruler:

Old Thomas: Hello there young ruler. How goes the day?
Ruler: Oh, you know...wait...what is that?
Old Thomas: What is what?
Ruler: I just saw something running into the tall grass. I'll be right back.
Old Thomas: Very well then.

After the teaparty is built:

Baron: Ah, child! So good of you to attend my High Tea Party!
As promised, allow me to introduce the Grand Duchess Esmella Lachessa Meavia Brothchild...
my grandmother.
Grandmother: Hey there, kiddo!
Baron: Grannie, please! You cannot call a future ruler...kiddo.
Grandma: I'm a hundred and eleven years old. I can call people what I darn well please, Sugar Britches! (I like her already :) )
Ruler: Sugar Britches?
Grandma: We called him that when he was little because he was so sweet.
Baron: Grannie, please! Not in front of my subjects.
Ruler: Subjects?
Baron: ....I'll just let you two get acquainted.

The baron tea party:
- Search the pond 10
- Gather porcelain clay 10
- Upgrade the Tea Party to level 2 (level 2 means twice the fun!)

New conversation:
Ivy: A little rodent told me there's a tea party happening!
Ruler: A rodent?
Ivy: Haven't you seen the spring racoons roaming around? One of them dropped an invite in the tall grass. I can't believe the Baron invited thosse cute furballs and not me!
Ruler: I don't think he anticipated raccoon recipients for his invites. I'm sure your's was amongst the stolen ones. So -- you should come!
Ivy: I'd love to! I can help too, just throw any extra supplies my way...and I'll help you build the tea party even faster!

No challenge too steep (side goal on timer 18 hours):
- Give fish 30
- Give stones 50
- Upgrade the Tea Party to level 3

Same for me. No option to upgrade when tapping the tea party.

I've reached both of the goals in book to upgrade levels 2 & 3. When I tap to upgrade nothing happens. I've used 120 energy and tapped 40 tall grasses. You can also tap the pile of iron to get porcelain clay.

I had horrible clay drop rate from large rock outcropping (1 *maybe* 2 if I was lucky per 20 chops). Switched to small rock pile now I'm getting 1-3 clay per 5 chops! Yay!

At the appearance of the first Spring raccoon:

*Distant shriek*
Ruler: Uh, Baron, is everything alright?
Baron: Absolutely not! These pesky vermin have gotten into my party supplies. They stole my tea party invites! How will I invite people to my party?!
Ruler: Calm down, Baron. I'm sure we can get them back.
Baron: You must retieve them at once! I'm already pushing the fashionably late deadline.

After defeating spring raccoon (10 chops):

Ruler: Here you are, Baron! I found one of you invites!
Baron (as always, not satisfied): One?! Where are the rest?!
Ruler: Well, it seems as though the raccoons hace distributed them amongst their group. Your party has so much hype, everyone wants to come!
Baron: Absolutely not! Retreive the rest before my party is ruined by a raccoon rendezvous!

You may want to change the thread name to "Castle Story: Time for Tea". It was hard searching for this thread because of the simple 4/13 tag. Some players may find the event in their devices later than today's date, and may not know when the actual play began. Just a suggestion...

To update to level 2 you need 50 clay blocks. At the same time as needing 10 twice to use in the work shop. I'm finding that ponds work best for me, I'm averaging 10 blocks from 17 ponds and I'm ignoring the black flags! I hope this doesn't jinx me.

Shouldn't it be the other way round?the 18 hour goal is optional. Supposedly it gives you an extra boost to your ordinary event playing, which is 21 days in all.
But it seems worthwhile because we're collecting from ponds and rocks anyway so a good way to use fish and such.

I just got to this point. I don't know if I want to continue. The drop rates from rocks are horrible, and besides, more rock chopping? 21 days of incessant rock chopping? I could fill my kingdom with ponds, if I first store most of my items since I won't have energy to collect from anything not part of this event, but really? That's pretty unappealing to me. My opinion if I had to choose 1 would be the wizard school as built to level 1 you can collect 6 energy every 5 hours the glimmer egg Ali you can only collect 1 time a day and it is a random drop from 4-40 maybe 100 but that is extremely rare from what I have read

The Glimmeregg Ali very rarely drops more than 4-6 energy, so please don't purchase it on the basis that you want the chance of 40 or even 100 energy. This is extremely rare. In my opinion the wizard school is a way better investment if you don't have it. Overall the energy drop would be far greater, particularly when you've upgraded it.

Please add me to the list of players who are sick of chopping rocks. I realize that it may be easier to use the same program and just change the drops, but enough with the chopping of the rocks! Can't we please ever do anything different? Maybe dig up some old code from a year or so ago and replace the rock chopping with something else?

I just chopped a large rock outcropping and got 0, yes ZERO, clay blocks. That's 20 energy down the drain. 6 ponds at least yielded 2 of them. As for the petals, I've gotten exactly one so far. And one tea leaf from 5 mushrooms. Drop rates and spawn rates (for raccoons!) are dismal. I know it's early yet, but is it really wise to frustrate everyone this early in the event?

Just a reminder, even though the spawn rate for raccoons is low, I'm still trying to make sure I trigger one before chopping rocks. If it doesn't happen, I suggest setting a rockpile out of the way, chopping until a boar spawns (shouldn't take long :( ), and leaving it parked while chopping rocks. It really helps to save energy wasted fighting beasts while trying to collect clay.

Definitely wizard school. When you upgrade it, it's eventually 9 free energy every 4 hrs 20 min. (10 energy minus one to get it.) The daily alicorns are typically 3 free energy once a day (4 energy minus one to get it.) Sometimes there's more but not a ton... Usually 4, 5 or 8. I got 100 energy twice in a year and a half or so of playing with the pink and wedding alicorns. I like the 18 energy I can count on every time I log in since I only play a few times a day... It's like having a 58 energy bar.

Whew! Thanks for the heads up! Having collected exactly one petal after fighting 6 raccoons and chopping umpteen tall grass, I was seriously considering buying this. I was on the fence because it says "chance" of spring petals, which means they aren't guaranteed. And if it had a timer like other flowers, that would be okay I guess. But with a 16 hour timer there should be a guaranteed drop of multiple spring petals.

Something to consider. The "arg rock chopping again" folks... What do you propose? S8/TL tried doing building collections. People were annoyed they had to set 4 hr, 8 hr, 22 hr timers and run the risk of a major setback by missing a collection. Then people were annoyed they made farmhouses or chickens the collection tool because it required people to babysit the game and keep coming back. With rocks or grass, you play when you want. You take up as much space as you want. You could technically "not ruin your entire kingdom" by placing a rock and a patch of grass and then keep replacing them when done. Not very efficient, but it would maintain your current view if that's important to you.

While most think this setup is laziness, I think it's actually the most accessible.

(Adding, rocks have been abysmal for me. Ponds seem 40-50%. If you can stand putting a few buildings away or shifting some things a little, I'd go for the ponds.)

A return to the story line maybe ? :)

Expansions :)

A monster hunt :)

Yes!! This!!!!

Or perhaps harvesting the various crops (or why not a new type of crop?) in order to collect materials. Or maybe using some of the materials that we never use anymore for crafting, trading and adventuring for needed supplies. These are all things that actually used to be part of the main story AND special events. (Who else remembers the great candy corn harvest? Lol. I almost wish we had to do that again instead of rocks rock rocks.) It would be a lot easier to excuse/ignore the lack of imagination if I hadn't been around to play the game the way it used to be. :(

It's true that there will ALWAYS be someone who is unhappy. It is not possible to please everyone. But it is, or it should be, possible to change things up a little bit with these events, so the same people don't have to be unhappy every single time.

Ps. Lots of interesting and exciting things have been proposed in the poll and suggestion threads. And in the sneak peek threads. The proposals just seem to keep being ignored.

Hi. I am not quite clear what you are asking. Are you saying you don't have the option to upgrade the tea party , even thought you have all the parts? Some people reported this early on but restarting their game seemed to fix it.

Or are you concerned about the 2 hour collection time?

Although we only get one tea cup for the Tea Party at level one, the more we upgrade it and move to higher levels, then the more teacups we will get each time we collect, so it becomes more achievable.
Note that if you do upgrade, the timer on the Tea Party resets back to 2 hours, so it is generally best if you upgrade once you have collected.

Only place we get tea cups is the Tea Party. So I am guessing that so far you have only collected from it once, at level 1. Which is exactly the same as me :).

Well, I'm trying to be realistic here, and accepting that since I have a really busy working weekend, and a full working week ahead I'm probably not going to do terribly well with this!

Set myself first target of the timed goal (stupidly gave away the resources before realising I would be asleep all night and might not raise 50 clay by lunchtime today.)

Then I think I would love another peacock. I don't collect from my current one often, but he looks lovely and could use a friend. The other items in the teacup collection are gorgeous art work, but I seldom keep any deco items out as they take up room. I have Easter eggs out now, but they will be put away early next week.

The prize for fully upgrading the tea party appears to be a fountain made of dirty dishes. Not sure I really want that. I'd quite like another little friend for Pepe. I missed the green racoon, but this one is pretty. I might therefore decide to go for the racoon rather than the upgrades nearer the time, and when I see what my chances are for the peacock.

I know this is the sequence, and we were due a community event. But I can't help feeling it's tough over Easter weekend. I have splashed out on a couple more red flowers, and am building a red shrub for more red petals for fewer energy, and I finally weakened and blew my troll coins on a glimmer Alicorn. But I still suspect this will be one I won't finish.

This is a time and energy intensive event so for those who think they will definitely not be able to complete it, I would suggest that you try to at least level up the tea party to lvl 5 as it looks much nicer with servings on the table and patio with surrounding flowering shrubs. Level 5 tea party drops 9 tea cups so you would stand a good chance of qualifying for community prizes.
And of course the spring raccoon is not too difficult to craft.

RevdKathy
04-14-17, 12:58 AM
Yes, that was my sort of thinking.

I gather the extra crafts - tea, cakes and teatray go away between levels 3-5. Can anyone tell me whether the drops do too?

The other thing is, apart from the timed side goal, this is a slow burn. We have three weeks to work on it.

At 6 Red petals per red dye, that means at least 450 red petals for this event if you don't have any dye stored. I think that's the most ridiculous requirement I've seen yet for any S8 event.

From 10 grass I got average 1 - 2 raccoons.

I would like to ask - tea leaves: from mushrooms.
Mystic mushrooms does not work.
Is better mushroom patch or mushroom circle (or red mushroom circle)? From 10 mushrooms patch I got 1 tea leave.

Please let the teaparty be completed at lvl 8. Can anybody confirm this? I dont look forward fishing more than 1000 clay from the pools, since chopping rocks is already a nightmare related to the droprate of clay. Even the amount of clay for lvl 8 a bit more than 800 doesnt look appealing to me. I love events, but this one seems a bit long to me. Every event means a flatline if it concerns developing my kingdom further and 21 days is a long flatline. Ah well we will see how far we will get with this event.

Build a red shrub? Could you tell me where? I definitely need another source of red petals, because I ran out earlier.

Conversation between the ruler and grandma about the glimmer candy:

Grandma: So you're the future ruler, are ya?
Ruler: That's what they tell me.
Grandma: If you're gonna last in this business, you can't let my grandson push you around!
Ruler: I don't let *anyone* push me around!
Grandma: Good! We're going to get along just fine then. Now enough of this boring tea...how would you like a try of my glimmer candy?
Ruler: And prrecisely what is *glimmer candy*?
Grandma: It's like...a sugar cube. Just adds a little flavor to your tea.
Ruler: Hmm...I don't know.
Grandma: Are you sure? It's homemade!
Ruler: Oh, very well. But just one.

I've been getting red petals (along with other colours) from the flower garden which you can build if you've got the arboretum. And you can make it from plants you buy with coins - you don't need to use up a couple of red trilium plants to make it.

You can also get red petals from the multi-colored hedge (gem item but I've gotten my 3 from Feral Lands Adventures), the Autumn Carriage (from someone's failed wedding) drops them frequently for me, & the Romantic gazebo (forget the goal it came from), & the Faerie Flowerbed.

I am maxed on red dye so that's good at least. I ended up buying the new Spring Flowers since the back of the card says there is a chance for Spring Petals. It has a 16hr timer! I guess over 21 days it might make a difference, but I was expecting a much lower timer! Buyer beware.

1st drop: 1 blue petal, 1 white petal
2nd drop, 1 blue petal, 1 white petal, 2 spring petals

So even though its not every time, the 2 spring petals drop was nice.

My opinion if I had to choose 1 would be the wizard school as built to level 1 you can collect 6 energy every 5 hours the glimmer egg Ali you can only collect 1 time a day and it is a random drop from 4-40 maybe 100 but that is extremely rare from what I have read
I agree but we are only allowed 2 Wizard Schools so Im going with the Ali while on sale.

Spiritwind, there's an error in requirements to level tea party from 6 to 7. Yes you need 12 invites and 20 settings but you need 5 not 3 teas. A mistake perhaps because the reward for levelling tea party to level 6 is 2 teas so you need to make only 3.

SW ~ Will you please check with S8 to see if something is askew with the code for the Spring Flowers?
For a GEM PURCHASE w/a looooong 16-hr timer, spring petals (at least ONE, sheesh) should be a guaranteed drop, or since it's a "chance", the long collection time should be MUCH shorter & more reasonable, like all the OTHER flowers!
Thanks! :-*

I'm getting a lot of red petals from chopping the grass. I didn't notice yesterday because I was maxed on them, but now that I've used some of them, I've noticed that I'm getting more red than spring petals. Also, I was focusing on rocks to get the clay until I noticed that I was getting very low on mermaid scales (which we need a lot of). So you're better off splitting your clay gathering between rocks and ponds so that you can replenish the mermaid scales and not run out.

So far this is a very busy challenge with lots of moving parts but fun. Good luck.

Good luck to those who chop and tap on. I'm going to enjoy my spring break. I know we have 20 days to finish, but after the last few events that I muddled (and sometimes cursed) through I'm not feeling the excitement here. The magic of the forum. Glad it's sorted out! The goal to upgrade to level 3 is optional. If you don't complete it in 16 hours, you will only miss out on the prize for that side goal (one tea service to go towards the next upgrade). It helps a bit but isn't mandatory. If you do the elven trades, don't forget about the fast worker boosts for the workshops.
Looks like the spring flower is the gem item this time. No offer of an extra teacup source, it appears. Unless S8 adds something later.

Right now I have a value pack offer for 50 teacups, 40 porcelain clay, 30 tea leaves, 10 invitations and 3 spring flowers. $9.99 USD. I might have considered it if it were $4.99, just because I'm not having any luck with any type of mushroom. Those tea leaves are my biggest energy drain.

Poped in to say hello and happy Easter to those who celebrate!

I'm happy with the event (kind of).* What I am especially looking forward to is pairing my autumn racoon with the spring one and my royal peacock with the new one.

The colours of this event are just lovely. As far as resource gathering is concerned, I am also OK so far. My high tea table looks like an island among the sea of ponds and half of my queendom is mushroom infested, but the items are coming along nicely. I prefer ponds to rocks so far, just for the change. The red dye is a wow (wow, so many! to be precise). I tend my multi-coloured hedges and the festival grounds (one hour timer!) to get those.

Please drop by for tea!

* I still would LOVE the monster hunt s8, do you remember those?

Beware of timed side goal after upgrading to level 5. It wants you to give 30 or 40 mushrooms, and 30 or 40 glimmerdust and upgrade teaparty to level 6 in 2 days. I already gave those items and one is 30 and the other is 40 but don't remember which.

Requirements for level 6 upgrade are
15 tea Setting
20 Tea leaves
10 teaparty invites

The 15 tea setting are the hardest since they require 10 porcelain clay each. So I highly recommend you stock up on tea settings before you upgrade to level 5 (wish I had known.)

I've been collecting tea leaves from red round mushrooms, they seem to drop ok probably about as well as any other mushroom.

For those who like to plan ahead, the Level 10 upgrade requires 10 Sweets. It takes 5 spring petals, 10 flour and 15 sugar to make the sweets. So you'll need to be maxed on flour and sugar before you get to level 10. The side goal rewards gives 1 sweet, and some flour and sugar for those of you who are doing the side goal. You can make the sweets ahead of time if the craft is available in your kitchen. You'll also need 25 tea party invitations, 40 tea settings, and 20 teas for the level 10 upgrade. I was low on flour for some reason (probably the elven trades), so now I'm having to plant and harvest wheat.

The level 9 tea party drops 25 teacups.

Try red mushroom circles I'm getting tea leaves once every 4 or 5

Also, when your potion shop isn't busy making tea, keep crafting red dye ahead of time. I was maxed on it, but have used it all and still need 40 more to finish level 10.

And don't forget to use the quick collect trick on the mushrooms. When I tap 10 then use quick collect, I almost always get 2 or 3 tea leaves.

Good luck! Happy Easter weekend!

So we need approximately 140 red dye to complete this?! 400 porcelain clay just to upgrade from level 9 to 10? I think I'm bowing out. How ridiculous.

I'm having a heck of a time getting tea leaves. I got 2 right away when the new challenge started and have not had 1 since. I've tapped about 60 mushrooms since and not one tea leaf. I've got 2 red circle mushrooms out a 3 regular mushroom circles out. I'm having good luck with the clay and raccoons, though.

To upgrade to level 9, I only remember the 25 tea settings and 15 tea. Can't remember the amount of invitations. I thought it was already posted so I didn't write it down.

We do have to get 30 neighbor requests as well.

For me this is the most tedious event yet ...
Long event, with repeat prizes I don't want, with ridiculous upgrade requirements.

I'll still participate as I'm a Castle Story addict but this is not enjoyable.

This is probably amplified running directly after the Mantiwort quest , which in my opinion was the best event in the past couple months.

I've said it before and it doesn't seem to resonate with the developers but here goes again...
Storm8, we desperately want MAIN STORYLINE and EXPANSIONS!!!
If you need ideas on how to do this while maintaining high revenue flow please PM me.

Maxiandtaz, newzealander and peachtreeshoppe.. thanks for the advise..
I am going for wizard school..

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned/noticed this yet but drops of porcelain clay are way better from the ponds than from the rocks. I get a drop rate of about 1 in 2 whenever I collect from the ponds so I've been collecting exclusively from there. I've got 15 of them set out and have just been looping around every hour or so; it's also way cheaper because you only need to purchase them once rather than buying a ton of rock outcroppings over and over again.

I agree. almost 1 out of 2 ponds but probably 2 per rock but still its a lot of clay needed. The previous manticore event was actually doable for me, I used only 10 gems to upgrade to level 10 but this one I'm bored already

Thanks missed it some how. That's what happens when you are up past two am lol. Why did they have to go back over 20 though? Things have been so nice and without complications these past couple times when they only asked for 20...

Also my two cents I stopped chopping rocks and put a bunch of ponds out. Found rocks gave clay anywhere from 0-20% whereas ponds are closer to 40-60% so much more energy efficient and the resources are more useful as I maxed out on the rocks. May switch a little for half a day when I max out on pond resources and replenish rocks and probably will play like this every 3-4 days

I have to admit for a community event I am enjoying this one. As someone else said aside from the table the other collections can be done on our own time which I like a lot and a 2 hr time is not bad at all, not like the farmhouses. Sure I won't get it every 2 hours but plenty of times during the day even when out doing something I can sneak in for a quick tap. Of course it's early on so I'm full of optimism. I was able to make two raccoons so that is out of the way and I completed the 18 hour challenge and about ready to upgrade to level 4 so I feel like I'm going at a pace that is ok. Let's see what I say as we get down to crunch time the last couple days haha. Good luck to everyone and happy Passover/Easter to all who are celebrating :)

I am going to say what a lot of us might be thinking: sorry S8, but this event is really over the top. Too long and the requirements to upgrade the table to lvl 10 are out of this world. An event needs to be fun and doable. In my view both conditions are not met, cause the event takes too long and the chance of succes is low.

If you are a player without Ali's its not going to happen
If you are a player with just a few Ali's its not going to happen
If you are a player with a bunch of Ali's the event gets doable, but you need to glue yourself to your ipad for the next 21 days.
Preparing in advance is hardly doable cause you burn your energy fishing up clay.
If you are a player with little or no red T, its not going to happen. You need to buy quite a few of it. Better is to make a shrub to save energy
The spring petal is an ultra rare drop. So far i got one and for the higher lvl table you need a lot. So you prob have to buy flowers for gems with a chance to drop spring petals
Drop rate of tea is not great either.

Ofc all of this is for a reason, cause at the second day S8 already offers a pack for 10 euros to help us in the event. Makes sense to me after all the game is there to earn money.

I prob will upgrade the tabel to lvl 5 and call it a day. The prices are not my cup of tea. In the meanwhile i will collect from my table to collect some of the prices. I dont worry about the community price. We will all get that one in the end.

Goodluck to all of you in this event. I dont want to be negative. I really love this game, but i like to run events which are doable in the time i can spend to the game.

I made the energy calculation .. only for the 10 sweets for the upgrade to level 10

10 sweets needed
50 spring petals - minimum energy = 50
100 flour - 350 with a good luck of double crops or energy return (150 if you harvest the wheat with elven power .. here the energy return is double helpful) plus 100 for collecting the flour
150 sugar - 520 (220 elven) plus 150 for collecting
10 for collecting the sweets

makes a total of 680 ... which is an absolut minimum, which needs good luck by harvesting, elven runes plus a spring petal by every patch of grass (which is not the case .. so easily plus 200)

for a refill of 880 energy (without allis and the wizard schools for the unluck) .. this needs 44 hours (with using also the night energy)

for level 9

25 tea settings
150 red leaves - 150 energy
250 porcelan clay - 250 in mimimum
50 mermaid scales - collected with clay
25 for collecting the settings

15 teas
180 tea leaves - 180 in minimum
90 water - collected with clay
45 sugar cane - 25 with a good luck of double crops or energy return (15 if you harvest the sugar cane with elven power
15 for collecting the teas

a total of 645 in minimum (easily plus 720, for a tea leave dropping rate of 20%, plus 250 for a porcelan clay dropping rate of 50%)

makes 1615 energy or 81 hours (with using also the energy from the night) quite 3,5 days only for level nine (without real sleep) .. and without calculating some spring petals which came evtl. on top

.. then .. I calculated the time for red leaves because I only have one red trillium (and are at level 4 at the moment)
I could collect 3 petals per hour .. total of 70 per day with constant collecting every 20 minutes without sleep

level 9 - 150
level 8 - 150
level 7 - 120
level 6 - 90
level 5 - 60
total 570 ... or 8 and a half day of constant collecting (I'm hoping of some red petals from the grass patches)

but the figures are ridiculous

Don't forget to visit your neighbours for extra energy, also watch the videos. i usually get 1 gem, 3 energy, 1flour (and you get to keep iteven if maxed out) 2 energy, 1 sugar, and today I got another energy too. All useful stuff in this event. Every little bit is going to help with this one. Not sure I'll get to level 10. I may give up earlier and focus on the pretty raccoon and if I'm lucky the peacock.

What will this peacock drop? Any clues? For those with a peacock from previous event, what does that peacock drop? I was hesitant to start this event, but did and now I'm tempted to drop out. I have so many other things to make in my kitchen, yet no energy to pick my crops. I'd like to collect coins from buildings, but so little energy. I'm at level 4 now, may get to 5 and bow out. Still deciding, but getting bored with this already, especially now knowing levels 9 and 10 will be virtually unachievable for me due to energy requirements. ☹️

I posted earlier that this is a very time and energy intensive event, just to reiterate here that most players will not be able to finish this. I have 1 wizard school, 20+ daily alicorns and 40+ weekly ones. Used all the daily ones as soon as they are ready and have already used 30 of the weekly ones and I'm not even halfway through requirements for levelling up to level 8, will be stuck on 7 for a couple of days. I know there are still many days ahead for the event but as a comparison to last community events, I would usually finish these in 5-6 days whereas this one will take a minimum of 12 days just for the tea party upgrades by my estimation unless there's a change in requirements or drops. And last few community events have been tough for players who do not have time to babysit their games, spend gems or have as many alicorns. As it stands, my advice would be for these players to stop levelling the tea party at level 5, collect tea cups to qualify for community prizes and craft a spring raccoon.

Do the spring petals drop from the long grass the whole time? Or just when it's going to ask us to make the sweets in the kitchen? I'm just not getting any right now, and I don't want to waste my precious energy if they're not going to drop anyhow.
I even foolishly bought the Spring Flowers, and I'm getting nothing but black flags from it.
( tea party is at level 5) and it's not something it's asking me to make right now.

The spring petals didn't drop for me when the tea party was at level 6, but at level 7 they started dropping again as they are required for the upgrade. I think they also didn't drop at level 4 or 3, not sure which.

So most likely don't drop unless you have the option to craft the sweets in the kitchen or need them for a level upgrade. I'm at level 6 as well & they aren't dropping for me either. Don't need them yet to upgrade & the crafting option is not available so I'm guessing that's the criteria for drops.

Also plants loads of sugar cane as you're going to need them for making tea and sugar!

You'd think if you bought the spring flowers for gems.. That you'd at least be able to collect it from it the whole time. With a 16 hour timer and only a chance dropping the petals. I don't really think this purchase is going to help out a whole lot.
~sigh~ once again dooped.. When will I learn to not spend my gems on these things. ALSO... WHY a 16 hr timer??? It's usual at the most 2 hours!

I have never brought any of the bundles but would also consider buying it if it was $4.99

Is there a reward for completing the second optional timed quest that appears after the upgrade to level 5 ?

SW can you find out whether the level 10 tea party drops anything special after the event, and is there a prize for completing level 10?

Seriously considering bowing out. Have stopped collecting and crafting stuff all this afternoon and night. Just been collecting the tea cups every 2 hours or so.

OMG how on earth did you manage to get 60 alicorns?
Wish S8 would do an event so we could create alicorns as we seem to need more and more energy for events these days.

Unless this table drops a feast like other tables at the end, it doesn't seem to worth upgrading to level 10. The requirements are a little extreme! I have finished all the events so far, without spending any gem, but I have to think about if I want to finish this one...

Man, that Inventory Guide said that the Fire Lily drops Red Petals. I got all excited but then it turns out it doesn't. It drops Orange Petals. A real disappointment.

Ievel 5 drops 9 teacups. I wonder how far I can get with just setting timer and collecting that in the days we have left ? Hmmm. I might get to level 6 without trying too hard. Honestly though I look at the prizes and my heart just kind of sinks, because I do like this game. It's the only game I play.

Yes! Please check on this! With how energy and resource demanding this event is, it would be nice to know what we're playing for.

* Will the level 10 tea party drop anything (other than coins) once the event is done?
* Will the peacock drop anything different from the previous peacock?
* Do any of the other teacup earned prizes drop anything? Or all they all deco?
* Does the stack of dirty dishes that seems to be the prize for completing the quest book task drop anything?

If we're doing all of this just for a source of seeds and petals, we'd like to know.

I think that's the point. We're supposed to buy the alicorns....or buy energy with gems...either way, they want us to spend. :( Ironically, I used to spend, back before I felt like I was being forced to do so. I still believe that they could give players storyline, tent updates, and other player requests while still making money, but that doesn't seem to be the current business plan. So now..... I consider doing these events without spending to be a personal challenge.

That is how I'm feeling too. Except I'm thinking level 7 or 8.... The last two level requirements just look so discouraging, especially with the horrible drop rates.
I wish they'd tell us what, if anything the finished table and the fountain pile of 'dirty dishes' we get for completing it will drop. (still laughing at pile of dirty dishes!) But I'm guessing they won't tell, knowing many will stop if we know for sure it will be coin only.

Did you do "Essence of the Forest" quest last year?
The flowers from that quest (forest dahlia, forest thistle and paradise blooms) all randomly drop red petals.

Just looking at the pattern of the latest events, the tea party table will be coin only and we end up with something that has a 12+ timer for something we can get easily. White petals come to mind. But I seem to always end up hoping for something different. I too would like to know what the drops are. But, the peacock is pretty and that is the only thing that appeals to me. (These are strictly my views and do not express the views of the forum.)
To end on a positive note- there are some things that I am very happy with from other events-the wedding swans, the moon crystal thingy, and the haunted buildings...and the frog is cute. So I guess every player has to decide for themselves.
maybe play just for the challenge.

I would like to know the same. Where are all of these alicorns coming from and how can newer players gets them?

They are for sale in the market. That is the only way for new players to get them. They cost 600 gems each, but they do go on sale a few times throughout the year.

Many of the players who have a lot of alicorns have also been playing the game since the beginning, so they were around when the Love Shack was an event prize (not available to any players since that event, although many of us have begged S8 to bring it back or even sell it for gems). They can be crafted in the Love Shack, but they rely on very rare and random drops from adventures.

I bought mine, some full price, some on sales. The daily ali's I have were either bought outright or through the barons game tent, trading with elves and then the first pink ali and wedding ali came through quests.

I bought 2 of them...and just did my first collection.
BOTH gave me 1 ea of blue & white petals and NO, NONE, NADA, ZERO spring petals.

Thanks! :-*

You'd think if you bought the spring flowers for gems.. That you'd at least be able to collect it from it the whole time. With a 16 hour timer and only a chance dropping the petals. I don't really think this purchase is going to help out a whole lot.

Another round of collections this morning from my 2 Spring Flowers & another dual collection of JUST white & blue petals.

What gives here, S8!?! ... if the chance for a spring petal to drop is coded to be THAT low, these flowers should have been COIN purchases with a limit of 2 or something, just like the Sleeping Dahlias were for the Fanged Forest event. Calming Water was not only a guaranteed drop from those dahlias (in addition to blue/white petals), but they also only had just a 10-minute timer! Granted, we needed more calming water for that event than we need spring petals for this event, but still... paying GEMS for 2 flowers than have YET to give me a single spring petal in 2 days is ridiculous & a rip-off.
I want my 60 gems back!!!; I can get blue & white petals (which aren't even needed for this event, btw) in a lot of other places!
WHY isn't the dahlia a shade of red & dropping RED petals along with the chance of spring petals ANYway, which we DO need for the red dye requirements? That way, I wouldn't feel like my energy was being wasted quite AS MUCH as I do, just collecting blue & white petals that I don't even need for anything, event-wise.
