cannot accept new neighbours

People are adding me to be there neighbour but when I try to accept them it says you are unable to accept invitation

People are adding me to be there neighbour but when I try to accept them it says you are unable to accept invitation

Mine was doing the same thing. Look below in your neighbor list after you try to accept them. They are probably in your list. My BS will accept the neighbor request, and list the neighbor in my neighbor list below, but the request stays at the top, so when I try to accept it again it says I can't accept this neighbor. You have to restart the game to get the accepted request to go away. Give that a try. : )
