Graphics - Slow Updating

I've noticed that ever since they added the goal, Fighting Ferrets, the graphics have been super slow at updating when trying to navigate. When I go into the game or when I switch between the Arctic Island and the main island (i.e., when I do anything that makes the New goal icon appear next to the goal book), the graphics slow way down until I tap on the New goal icon to make the notification go away. After that, the graphics return to normal speed.

I'm playing on an iPad Pro, iOS 10.2.1, game version 2.6.1.

Try deleting and reinstalling the game to see if this helps.

Nope. Still slow. It's only slow every time that goal notification appears. I wish they would have the notification pop up once when there is a new goal instead of popping up over and over again for the same goal.
