Love the habitat! I usually have good luck in completing these, thanks to all your tips. However I don't like the mining part. My game almost always crashes when I mine, which is why it's so hard to expand. I am playing the most recent update, does anyone else have this issue?

Yes, lots of people crash while mining, losing the bomb and anything you earned in the session :/ plus the lamps don't show up often, the least they could do making us use the mine is have lamps show up when you hit runes!

These look lovely, I will start on the last day as usual to get food supply back up after spending so much on the leaderboard. But since I came in 9th I got food so that was a help. Btw, I haven't worked it out for this story book but usually when levelling up the first two animals to epic that takes approx 140 000 food. So u need that plus extra food for the random feedings.

I really like all the animals but the habitat is not very good imo, and my space is limited. Please give us more islands and/or a sale on Grand habitats! Does anybody else think they're kind of overdoing the ponies? I really like them but we've had a lot recently!

A pony tale was based on rapuzel, the only similarity is there's a horse in it (to me) we just had Cheshire cat, yin and Celtic cat too (plus more) but they're all different, the horses people are spending for lol I'd rather see horses than another snake variation personally, or gators I'm over those lol

A lot people love Ponies so they are giving us what we want. As for the theme, they have done a few fairytale themed storybooks so to me that is normal.
The lion looks different than most animals and so does the other two, yes the main prize is a Pony but like the other player stated I would rather have more Ponies than a few snakes. I don't like snakes, dragons, or monkeys so as long as they stay away from those I am happy, and even if they weren't to, I could use the time to hoard up apples and expand so a little break here and there doesn't bother me.
Hope you end up liking these animals :) If no then maybe you can hoard up apples for the next Leaderboard or Storybook? It will be easier to get Milestones if you have a bunch of apples hoarded and it might help you win, trust me :D

On the last storybook where bows were needed mine did not carry over. I'm assuming it will be the same here but not sure.

It probably won't since the prompt says collect and not have. Sort of like when they say feed (must do it at the point it asks) or raise (can do ahead).

I LOVE the pony - I love all ponies - so I dont mind that there are a lot recently. But I would love to have a new snake :) for all the other mentioned animals I agree, I dont need more of them ;) rather have ponies :D The habitat is beautiful as well- but we really need new land to expand to - anything new there?

OMGOSH, I'm the only one in to world with that issue!! It has taken my bombs that way, when it crashes!! And if I make it all the way through, if I'm lucky enough to make it all the way through to get the runes, I've gotten three at a time, and it crashed, and I will lose all the of them!! I've lost events because of it! It's even been deleting items from me!!

What I meant to say is if you look at what have to do in the steps each day, the steps of this Storybook are exactly the same the those we did in A Pony Tale - except for the names of the items e.g. mine for Lamps rather than Hair Bows etc!

There is no secret...you just have to keep mining until you get one. You get it on a successful mine, at the same time you get a rune usually.

Hi Jao. Yes if you don't have a chromodile, which I don't have, you have to breed one. Luckily they are fairly easy to get. Breed your skyger with a frost fang (hopefully you have them) and you should get one. Of course it will take a little longer since you will have to feed it and evolve it to level 4 so you can breed it. But don't worry, I've been behind by 3 and 4 acts and caught up. You're at level 30 so you must be new to the game. (30 is lower level. The highest level we just jumped to is 200. I'm at 179 and I've been playing about 2 years .) Don't worry if you can't complete the storybook. I couldn't either when I first started. But play as long as you can and at least earn some rewards or some new animals, even if it isn't the final prize. Before too long you'll be able to complete any of these you'd like. Looking at the acts ahead that some nice people provide for us help. So you know if you need a racmoon or an armodillo later on etc. you can plan for. Best of luck!

I just bought the habitat. It's gorgeous. I usually buy two of the specialist habitats but now I'm only buying one. Trying to save gems as I dnt want to have to buy more. The animals look great, I'll start with the auto start.

Tyvm I thought so lol. I didn't complete the first one but got 2 new very nice animals! I am only on part 2 and been waiting for a very long evolution to move on to next part. Been saving apples to. I received 15,000 from the leaderboard fed one animal to level 15 and saved the rest 😀 reading the post is super helpful. I have racmoon skyger and such. I would be happy with all 3 but ide settle for one or 2. I'm having such fun just playing and enjoying my forest. I love to see the changes in animals after they level up. Haven't finished a arena competition yet missed by 2 each time. I think it's my time zone difference. I end up going to bed only getting up early to find its ended. I wanted that horse sooooooo much but couldn't stay awake any longer good luck all can't wait till next global!😉

It's different because the tasks are easier for lower levels. Knowing low lvl people need the steps posted maybe you could post yours? :)

Hi, I understand that 'feed X times' means do it at that step, and that you cannot pre feed or finish feeding later. What does 'finish hatching' mean? They didn't used to say it that way and I am not sure if they consider putting the egg in the nest 'hatching' or releasing the animal after it has fully incubated as 'hatching'. Is it a confusing new way of saying 'have your animal hatched by now' and you can still pre hatch and pre feed and pre evolve if the instructions just specify to raise your animal to X level? Can someone please clarify? Thanks so much for all the great support!

The information provided on chapters is done so by very kind players who have skipped ahead in the storybook and then very nicely shared those steps here. Unfortunately it seems not many lower levels skip ahead so its harder to get all the chapters.

As someone active on the forum prehaps you could share your low level steps to help others?

PalnaWahine, if its the storybook reward animals (persian leopard ect) I would think you can still pre hatch, feed and evolve as its worded different to say, Hatch a Armordillo, which means you must hatch it when the storybook asks you to not before.
The storybook usually allows you to hatch the reward animals in advance so I can't imagine it's changed.

I'm only a level 69, which SOME consider a lower level. I had to have a Chromadile for that part. I, too am not sure where the "low level" line is drawn, as I have a few neighbors who are at levels 180ish. I hope this may have been some sort of help to you.

either when we are in quest...

1)every mine quest item in our inventory counts so if I have 10mines in my inventory "if the quest ask me for 4mines quest item just deduct from there or so" or....

2)when quest active make sure every mine is 100% or 75% quest items active once we farm runes.

the reason is because it is pretty insane to bomb for every rune I get is 100% but when the game just ask for 2 mines items yes just 2 items I use

10mines got 22runes & 2 quest items again I cannot imagine going forward to 4mine quest items, this is a problem I got even previous similar quest items.

To get to chapter 2 early it was five gems, to 3 it was ten gems, and to 4 it was fifteen.
I'd surmise that it will be twenty gems to get to chapter 5.

Well I've just used all 15 of my bombs and while I did get a lamp several times, each time the game crashed so I ended up with nothing. This seems to be a known issue so I don't know why they can't fix it? There is not much point of playing when I can't complete challenges or expand anymore. I love this game, I wish they could fix it.

Having one will save you on food and time! Feed your new "hatched" one 15x and the rest on the other, saves time to not have to evolve the new one, unless the one you have is lvl 15 :) thanks so much for the gem! :)

Yes but they don't show up often enough :/ I used a lot of bombs to find lamps.. Really bad when you need 5 in ch 9
Make sure you're only mining when asked in storybook for lamps to count (someone said lamps received before the step didn't count, I can't confirm I did mine when asked) so just to be safe :)

After mining, be SURE to open shop right away, or visit a neighbor (I open shop because visiting crashes me) to lock in your mining resources, if your game goes down you'll lose the last ones you got and the bomb!

They make it hard to breed common animals and have you feed animals you breed, along with the Storybook animals, in the hopes you will spend money to achieve the goals they set for you...this is how they make their money to keep the game running!!

I'm glad the you finally were able to breed an Armordillo :) after so many fails. Hope that you don't fall to far behind in the storybook now. I had 2 more fails, Rampage and another Rubble Rooster. So I decided to skip the step as I had a level 8 Armordillo. I'm now stuck on act 3 of chapter 5. I can't breed a Racmoon as my nest has 11 hrs to go with the Rubble Rooster fail. Good luck.

It does take a lot of food, and people use up food in LB so when storybook follows its really hard, I usually stock up during LB. I try to do charm cherries as much as possible in the day and nexus nuts at night.. If you're low on coin a different combo may work better. I try to have 250k food for storybooks but hoarding during LBs I managed to get to the million mark, back down to 880k but enough to not struggle with food as I start to build back up, it takes a while but the more you can ck in to harvest the better (if you haven't it's a plus to have crops fully upgraded ASAP) hope the next storybook goes better for you! :)

It really is hard, I used 10 bombs to get 4 and had granite golem on my nest so thank goodness I had just enough bombs.. Storybook resources are way too random! Especially when ppl crash in the mine and lose bomb and resources

it is all about random ;) last time your random numbers were high now they are low.
same for me and my baby account : sometimes got lot of lamps and sometimes need lot of bombs to get few
that's why we need to store bombs before going in the mine ;)

Can't do screenshots like I used to, only once in a while I can grab one, no colors etc I mainly focus on putting up the info so others know what's coming and can prepare as much as possible

Thanks to those you post the steps in advance. I was awake around 1:00 my time, which is when the new day starts. I had all the tasks done in like 2 minutes and now have to wait 24 hours for the next day's tasks to start. It relieves some pressure.

Well after my spring equifox (yes!!!) went on the nest I got 3 bombs, which was just enough to get the last 2 lamps and finish yesterday's quests this morning. I received my winged lion....and can't do anything with it right now since the silly equifox is taking up the nest! Have had a Firefox ready since Saturday on the other nest. Luckily many steps can be prepared ahead of time, so once I can hatch and evolve the winged lion I should be able to catch up.

I'm dreading that next mining step though...

It really is hard, I used 10 bombs to get 4 and had granite golem on my nest so thank goodness I had just enough bombs.. Storybook resources are way too random! Especially when ppl crash in the mine and lose bomb and resources

The mining was annoying. Before I needed the lamp I was getting one with every bomb..when I got to the chapter for lamps it took about 3 bombs to get one lamp. I decided to quit the tales after winning the lion and guess what...I get one lamp (sometimes even two or three) with every bomb. Go figure. :)

err you are still lacking of 5feeds... so either evolve & feed the last 5... check your feeds it should say you are lacking 5 more if it is still 0/30

it is better you breed them if you got 2 nest they are just 4hrs .... or hatch one than immediately buy the next frostfang....

check your quest if you belong to low level tier or like us btw

one more tip when feeding I always feed the first 5 than take a look instead it dun register I just close app & feed again.

Because it's a SR animal I think probably food schedule 5 with a total of 138.325 apples. Otherwise schedule 4 with a total of 96.660 apples. But lately all the new Super Rare creatures are food schedule 5.

I won't have enough apples to raise Winged Lion to level 14. Mining causing me some problems too. So I'm not sure if I should buy the Arabian habitat or not.... I'll only have two of the Arabian animals to place in there. It is a nice habitat though, ugh I can't decide what to do :rolleyes:

The good thing about Arabian night habitat is it holds 3 elements, water, earth and fire.. So other animals can be placed there, to me it's worth it but you decide ;) if you still have mag monkey or any battle animals to get, that's another source for food :)

It's super tedious, but a really good way to get apples fast is to do Power Pears every three minutes. You still may be able to make it!

Are you playing the battle grounds? You get some gems and food prizes there so maybe that's might just be enough.

Haha, I used to do that too in both DS and FFS during my free time when I didn't have the coins needed to plant the high yield crops. Once I was able to earn enough coins to plant the expensive crops, I thought I'd never have to do marathon impruberry plantings again.

But then they came out with those bingo boosts in DS, and I found myself doing marathon upgrape plantings a few times. *sigh* It was just as tedious as the impruberries, but looking at my food count at the end of the hour was incredibly satisfying. :p

Love the habitat! I usually have good luck in completing these, thanks to all your tips. However I don't like the mining part. My game almost always crashes when I mine, which is why it's so hard to expand. I am playing the most recent update, does anyone else have this issue?. I hate when you lose the prizes from mining. You lose the bomb and I have lost 3runes. It is so unfair. Not everyone can afford to buy gems to be able to get through these ventures. This is the first time that I have even come close to finishing. It is hard to get enough food to meet the requirements and I, for one, can not afford buying gems.

yes, this one has been easier. I managed to breed the two required animal fairly easily and had them sitting on nests before hand. also having the last animal to hatch being frostfang which could be easily bought was so much less stressful. Glad it was an easy one as the horse is gorgeous! this is probably the first storybook in a long while that I actually wanted to work towards the final animal. Hope future ones are equally reasonable :)

Yes, with a 10x time boost on the farms, Upgrapes are feeling a lot like the planting marathons. At least we don't ever get a goal that would require us to do that for a whole hour.

Note that this is the end of the whole event for all players. If you manually opted to start at the earliest point, then there habitat should still be there for a few more days after you finish. If you waited for the event to auto-start, then it would match up to the roughly the end of the same day that you finish (or maybe beginning of the next day).

I think the spin wheel has been introduced to help fill this gap so the wheel currently says 4 days (rounded up) which should be plenty of time :)

My experience has been that the event animals and habitats remain available for purchase until the next update. So for me, even though the Storybook ended Sunday night, the habitat and animals were still available for purchase up until the update today (Tuesday around noon my time).

I bought 3 of the Arabian Nights habitat. :)

Managed to finish this one to my surprise. Ended up farming loads of charm cherries and has enough food. Pleased to have the Arabian horse in my storage, Arabs are one of my favorite breeds!

Same here. I also finished on Sunday (I think). I was curious about the animals and habitat still for sale. Also getting lamps from the mine, and the Storybook food is still available to plant, last I knew. It's not a bad thing. Just tempting me to buy an extra Arabian habitat. :D

I thought the bombs are better used during the storybook event. You can get lamps or 250 food, however during normal play you get coins or 50 food (most of the time). i know you can get a higher amount of food sometimes but it happens so rarely for me I cannot even remember the amount. So lamps replaces the coins, and you get guaranteed more food with every food bonus prize. Seems like you'd get more food more consistently using the bombs during a storybook event that requires mining.

Thanks, iv used a few to keep me under 15 and that way I can still breed and get bombs. I may wait for the world event to start and I'll get tokens (hopefully!)
