Yes. It needs 50 gems to unlock Chapter 2 early. The prize of Chapter 2 is Rapstallion (Water/Earth).

This storybook seems to be a vast departure from previous ones. Several things just in the first chapter are different. Like collecting something from the mines. Also, looking at chapter 2, don't we typically get the first animal after completing chapter 3? But I see the first one is after chapter 2 this time. Will be interesting to see what other different surprises are in store as we get further along.

no it is simply a matter of random. you may have to try many times. that's why i said to save your bombs in case you need more than one to find stuff in the mine

If I remember correctly, it's okay to hatch the stallion and raise him up ahead of time, right? I don't want to accidentally hatch him too early and have it mess things up. TIA.

In the past you could always raise the level of the event animal before it asked you to and that counts.. But "hatching" usually means do it when asked so I'm playing it safe just in case :) someone else may risk it and tell us if the hatching ahead counts or not :) I do know if it called for another animal to hatch you would have to wait til prompted

Thanks Clark_Wayne for confirming that the Rapstallion can be hatched before the goal comes up. It was late when the egg ready and I left it as I didn't want to hatch it because of the wording of the upcoming goal. People ask this question during every storybook about the goals to "raise the (won)creature to level ...." but this goal is worded differently for a non breedable goal won creature. It's true that the explicit "hatch" goals have up till now nearly always meant you must wait for the goal.

Extra info: I noticed in Ch 8 & 10 that harvesting is giving 1.5/hour, so my 20 hour crop gave 30 hairbrushes each and 2 hour crop gave 3..may help you plan your crops, especially if you're also trying to harvest for Pisces where you get 1/hour

That's so unfortunate... A got a bow when the event hasn't started for me yet, couldn't figure out what it was at the time... It didn't go to storage or anything and now when I need it, I can't get it :( I've mined like 5 times since then and still haven't got another bow :(

I too, love Ponies and agree the Rapstallion looks weird, it reminds me of a puppet horse, like Muffin the Mule ( for those who are old enough to remember him) Rapunzel on the other hand looks beautiful!!

First, please note that the steps that have been posted are for high level and you may not see the same

When harvesting, you must have that mission prompted before it'll count.. If mission is asking for it and it still isn't counting you may need to write a support ticket

If you're asking whether feeding animals will give you hair brushes, no, you can only get hair brushes by harvesting from farms. No other ways.

So before the event started, I mined and got loads of bows but because the event hadn't started they didn't register. So I missed out on mining for food and my ever growing coin supply lol.
Doing ok so far tho. No bumps. I started last day to get food. Rapstallion is evolving to 10 and I have an ok amount of food. I would like more but think I'll b ok. I also got the needed bows first try. Also due to you amazing people posting the steps in advance, I know what's coming next. I bread my fairy ferret, it will b ready soon so will have to sit on the nest over night until the prompt comes to hatch, but that's what my extra nests are for I guess! Holding on to needed eggs. Also meant I got rapstallion on the nest straight away. Now I just wish my second account was doing as well!

i think i read somewhere that if you start tales in low level , you will keep doing low level tasks. but this is to be confirmed
in another side, i don't think you have to worry about your level : i think you are still far from the "high level" ;)

Xpost: Be sure to pay attention if you're working on Pisces, too. I wasn't thinking this morning and planted Rune Prunes for Pisces and need to plant Mystic Mangos tonight for Rapunzel. Luckily I remembered after only two farms. Now I have to decide whether to use gems to finish the prune harvest or delay the SB Chapter 6

I ASSUME once we got runes the ribbons should comes with it, the usual events world events etc... I dun think I am that unlucky to not have a single rune with 1 bomb.... but I just use 10bombs yes 10 bombs, the storybook just need 2 ribbons I just got 1 ribbon with 10bombs

I have another breeding coming up so hopefully I can get my last ribbon, what I fear is there is another quest much later which need 3 ribbons from mine, if I am assuming 10mines average to get 1 ribbon than I better sent my report on bugs :(

It's totally random that you get ribbons, I was low on bombs but my first one got 0 ribbons then my second got 3.. Going through 10 with nothing is horrible! Hope your luck changes on your next try! :)

If you want to complete the SB yes you must raise it to Epic form. (Chapter 10.2) or you can skip the act if you have enough gems.

Some have said 17 some say 20, I talked to a staff member and they're looking into it to get a definite answer.. If your steps are the same as what's posted you're in the high level bracket :) I'll post a definite answer once they find out for us :)

On a side note, most low level missions that were posted in previous storybooks .. Those people have lvl'd into high level missions.. So it's helpful to others if any low lvl people post the missions as they go :)

Hello Epinederose! No no I do not give up, thanks to my neighbors who always send me gems. With the help of my neighbors and now I have some gems from my treasures animals. Task 9 to finish, my concern is the food I give to sorceress again 4,800 apples to put them in the evolve flower. I have just 650 apples, then Planther and Skyger feed. Oh oh always too little food, but the rabbit of the apples give, there is a very big help and great thank you TL. Uff uff am a silly goose, I have wanted Rapunzel and thanks to Hellapanda that he has implemented it with his colleagues.

when I was around your lvl that was around Little red quest I know that there are actually 3 tiers of storybook quest (I do not know if it change so it might help if some of you guys verify this)

it counts when you start your storybook quest so if you are lvl 16 when you start you are in that tier even in these 10days you became lvl200 you are still playing as lower lvl.

below lvl17 tier (even we get the ultra rare animal picture, completing the storybook will not net the UR, this was a huge disappointment for us trying for rainbow unicorn, I started on 2 days before this event finish so I was totally way out so I cannot confirm this)

lvl17-21 tier this is the best place you want to be in SB because just leveling level 10-13 SR during the SB will net your the final UR animal

Lvl22+ this is consider high lvl so even if start lvl22 or lvl100 we are all running the same storybook I know it is harsh for a lvl22 but I did it on my little red with a lot of planning ahead 0gems spend

Unless they change it again because the new lvl200 might change this system....

My last chapter I'm on now. So far chapter 10 has 2 hair bows from mining and 30 hair brushes from harvesting crops. I'm trying one hour crops to see what the yield is. I'm really crossing my fingers on this one. In the arena I only need 6 to get the hippie hippo ��

I avg 2 runes a bomb, sometimes 1 sometimes 3 (so yes it was lucky all 3 hits had ribbons) but rarely 4 like when we were trying for love letters!

if it is just 30 hair brush planting 6x 5hr should net you with excess or 6x 2hr 2times, doing this just evolve something with 6 - 10 hr but wait for it, do not hatch it till the storybook quest demands it or evolve yr skyger 2 times since it is just a 3hr evolve time

Arena animals when I was lvl17 till now I have never ever hatch them except for my first animal walrust I believe because there will never be enough space, I am a fan of elites habitat(hold 4 animals) but I still find it hard to find space so either you are good at mining or you are spamming gems to speed breed in LB

Hey, if you think you will be on the high level story book next time. I would recommend getting 6 grand farms asap as you need a lot of food on the high levels. Save as much food as you can! Money and food will b the biggest problems since you are still lower level (I'm guessing as iv not seen your forest!) but it's still doable with out spending gems. Good luck!

Oh no no no. I just accidentally planted rune prunes. My finger slipped. I'm on chapter 8, so that's gonna b annoying for the plant 6 adventurnips. Iv just looked at the chapters tho and this seems like the only time it will b a problem and if I don't harvest until chapter 10 that will help on the harvesting and collecting hairbrushes.

Does it matter how many? You only need 6. So if it is 6 each hour, you need to evolve a animal with 6 hours. The most animal's have more. If its the same as the rest i think it would be 1 each hour. Good luck.

I did the exact thing on my second account. Silly part of me thought the merry penguin animal (my mind is blanking in the name other than I called it pablo lol) was only a 9 hour evolve but it was actually 25. So I skipped the evolving step with gems which was 18 gems.

I forced closed and was right back to the last step. It repeatedly did this, and now it has stopped, but it is too late to get her.
