however, if it is not for "flash" 1week goal, wd be pity if it's just a next gem oven...

agreed, sebsmommy! that tiered cake is gorgeous, and the cookies and mug cakes are really cute. if it is for gems, i hope it's at least the kind where you can make a gem profit if you only buy 2 ovens.

i also really like the white teacup shelves. the rack of cups is kind of jarring to me, since it's black, and normally tea party stuff isn't that dark. i like the clock a lot, wish the walls were a different color but i really like the design of them (not sure why the blue isn't doing anything for me, normally i like blue). the empty couch decor is pretty too. the party decor is kind of regular at this point, since we have a bunch of people at a table decor.

but overall i think it's a really good update!

It's really cute! I can't see the cookies clearly. Can never tell about cookies until I see them on a counter. That clock is cute! It all looks great except the tables. They might be a little blah? Not sure.

Not getting *too* excited because it might be a gem oven.

I like everything except for the tables and chairs. Keeping my fingers crossed that the oven is for coins and that this is not a mini goal, because I so don't want to buy any of these tables and chairs...

BUT you are ruining my beautiful Valentine design with all this blue. :rolleyes:
My place is decked out in red & pink. I'll work it in if not a gem oven ...
but a lot of us who like to decorate were already done 2 weeks ago and
Our place is themed in Valentine colors. Even our food.

I do thank you that it is a workable design and NOT another baby or wedding design
or NOT something weird like clowns, sleep overs, baby buggies.

So thanks! It will work and can be used later too. ;)

I like the sofa scene, the black teacup display (even though it doesn't go with the other colors in the theme),white upside-down teacup display and the ethnic diversity of the people in the table scene. Please also from time to time add dark-skinned peoples, like the cute dark-skinned female bot with the fro that comes in and out of the restaurant :)

I don't like the baby blue wallpapers that we keep getting with the poorly drawn designs on them. They are always out of place in the theme ( except for when they did the boy baby shower theme). The tables and chairs are.....not cute. lol They look like they'd fit more in a baseball theme.

S8 is ruining bakery story. Everything costs to many gems. Sick of the gem ovens i refuse to buy any more i bought 1 each of the yogurt and hawaiian ovens. Will quit before i spend any more gems on ovens.

Yes, 2 gems each so 6 total but you come out with only 1 gem since the oven itself costs 5.

I'm guessing that's a bad thing, this is why I never buy gem ovens because profit is confusing is heck. Not only do I get the 5 gems back but the 6th gem is profit? Sorry I'm trying to understand.

Let's say you have only 5 gems.
You spend 5 gems to buy 1 oven, right? So -5 gems to start, so you're at 0 gems.

You master all recipes. First recipe gives you 2 gems, second recipe gives you 2 gems, third recipe gives you 2 gems. So +6 gems from mastery. Now you have 6 gems.

You started from 5, spent 5 and gained 6.
So in total, -5 + 6 = 1 gems gained overall.

VS.

Let's say you have only 5 gems.
For coin oven, you pay X amount of coins for 1 oven. No gems spent. Then you gain 6 gems overall from mastery.
You started from 5, didn't spend any and gained 6.
So in total 0 + 6 = 6 gems gained overall, which means you will end up with 11 gems.

I bought one oven, but since practically everything else is for gems, there is no point in getting any because a little scene would be impossible without spending a bunch of gems.

Since Storm 8 isn't conscientious about giving you the stuff when you spend money, I no longer buy gems and have to be picky about what I spend them on.

It is all REALLY cute, though. I wish I could buy it.

Did anyone else notice that the receipts have a crazy large amount of pieces? These will probable stay on your counters forever, and they don't have the highest amount of profit based on original cost, as well as profit based on piece.

Yeah I don't see how this would be beneficial to anyone.

These mini goals are too stressful. If I wanted to play a stressful bakery game I would play bakery story 2.

sing it, sister! i can see people's point of "if you don't want to do the goal, just skip it, you're not required to do them." it's pretty much exactly what i've previously said when people complained about our classic monthly goals. but it really sets up a no-win situation for me: do the goals, and stress out about finishing in time, or don't do the goals, and know that the final decor will be forever locked. i've found myself going back to a decor piece that i thought i would never actually use and then a year later coming up with an idea where that previously unloved piece just made the whole thing work. so i don't want to regret not doing the goal in the future, but completing it in the present is so much effort. the more difficult that choice becomes, the more i want to just give up on the whole thing. if i stopped playing altogether, i wouldn't ever have to worry about it again!
