Now that we're seeing more new Valentine types coming out, will the Valentine type have a proper strengths and weaknesses in the arena? One of the original great things about Passion's pure Valentine type was that it was effective against high level Champions during Tournaments since it would have no weakness but no strength too. Will that benefit still hold?

I noticed there are now so many new types coming out, that we almost need to re-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses charts. Some of the older unique types are also being reused for new dragons so the rules may change.

I'll admit though that the new types do make these new dragons very desirable. I mean they could be completely useless, but we won't know that until we get them >_< ... I second the suggestion for more habitats with these new types in mind. The only negative thing I can say is that the new types Elemental, Mystic and Arcane are all sort of magic-y.

if blue color combo dragon do not do much damage in your game against glasswing, just focus on getting pass glasswing first trying other color/ combo first, and use blue dragons to fulfill the tales requirement later.

Yeah, I thought about that. But since none of my dragons are particularly good against level 20 champs (I don't have any diamond dragons yet) it's all just a roll of the dice anyhow, so I figured if my odds don't change either way I'd just keep throwing blue dragons at it until eventually I got lucky. I finally did, with my lvl 10 Storm8 dragon, so now I'm back on track.

Do you have Crusader, Helios, Forgefather or a high level black/white/red hybrid like Cursed Rose, Pirate, Dame of Darkness or Sugar Skull? Those dragons have a decent shot of taking down Astromancer.

Ok s8 enough is enough. Glas swing isn't going with nothing. I can't afford to buy gold. Seriously! I finally got a diamond after 5 years of playing. I was so excited to use it in tournaments. I've used it 5 times now, metal , forgefather, stalwart, dark one, my own glasswing, water, playful, fire countless times. Please give me a break on this. You have a very low chance of winning, so just keep throwing stuff at it. It took me 14 battles to get it down, and can take much longer, which is disheartening. However, I think it's the worst dragon in the tournament, so when you are past it the rest should be easier (I hope). Some people are super lucky and beat it very quickly, however the rules of probability mean that others will therefore have to take much longer. If something has a 1 in 10 chance of beating it, and one person beats it first time, then another will have to take 20 fights for that probability to still be true. It's annoying when you are the person having to take so many tries to beat it, but it's just how probability and averages work. Good luck all!

Try a dragon you can't breed. If you have Apprentice or Ignis try them again. Don't give up. No dragon is impossible to beat. When all else fails, try the baby fire/baby forest strategy and don't sleep on the common dragons either - commons can be champ ****ers too.

I can't believe it. I closed my eyes, started scrolling the dragon list and stopped my finger on lvl 6 magic...and it beat glasswing. Never even thought of trying magic.

So I should try with Anubis (diamond and purple) next - which I have on secondary account low level... maybe it's good combination, will try later :) (alredy tried Magic, Little hero, not tried with Apprentice).

starship412, you forgot that purple is blue/red - and we had success with Playful (red) , some had success with Ignis (red), also earlier with Black swan (pink - white and red), Elements (also red), some got it with some champ/champ hybrids - red and black for champs, some succeded with Dark Prime Chrono - also red, some Dark One - champ and red, Some with King - also red and royal (purple-yellow), not to forget success with Fire level 1 - so beside diamond element, something with red element could work too. Maybe Crusader or Gentle knight... or maybe something with double red - pink red, purple red, royal red, fairytale red, tropic red,cosmic red or even black red?

Heather, we all stuck on Glasswing on tourneys, I don't know anybody having much luck - some say use DFS (disposable fire strategy) - Make several Fire level 1 dragons and try with best chance dragon you have against Glasswing (e.g. Diamond) and if lost, while healing Diamond try with Fire 1. Several ppl including myself had luck at least once.

So, best suggestion is - try until you eventualy succeed, or use ultimate attack on that bas...d.

^^ It should be same as Water - blue - Passion type should have no effect. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't believe I breezed thru the 3 opponents before Wizard & I'm having trouble with him. Thank goodness it's the last round. Any advice?

little wizard is on the nest. This tourney was a big pain. Cost me 30 gold for ultimate on glasswing. Good luck to those still fighting.

Little Wizard uses bubble magic so I would use a high level purple, pink, rainbow or yellow dragon. I used Apprentice (purple, blue) and one shot of magic took him down.

How high of a level is the Apprentice? If it's below 10 then it won't work. I would try Little Hero or any of those that were Dragon Tales dragons.
In previous tourneys I beat Glasswing with Elements (twice), Apprentice (twice), Beast, Leftheart, and Dame of Darkness.

So I should try with Anubis (diamond and purple) next - which I have on secondary account low level... maybe it's good combination, will try later :) (alredy tried Magic, Little hero, not tried with Apprentice).

starship412, you forgot that purple is blue/red - and we had success with Playful (red) , some had success with Ignis (red), also earlier with Black swan (pink - white and red), Elements (also red), some got it with some champ/champ hybrids - red and black for champs, some succeded with Dark Prime Chrono - also red, some Dark One - champ and red, Some with King - also red and royal (purple-yellow), not to forget success with Fire level 1 - so beside diamond element, something with red element could work too. Maybe Crusader or Gentle knight... or maybe something with double red - pink red, purple red, royal red, fairytale red, tropic red,cosmic red or even black red?

Edit: Anubis didn't work.

I'd try the Apprentice before anything else but if it doesn't work then try the ones you listed. I'm thinking a dragon with red in it would be successful for you.

A piece of advice for my young battlers, when you fight a dragon don't long press the bash or magic button. Tap the button as fast as you can. Most times it works for me.

I'm sorry about that. Try the high level hybrid with red in it like Ignis or if you have Dame of Darkness, Pirate, or Cursed Rose I'd try them too.

Thanks for the info. My Little Hero needed to be healed, so I tried Virtue, but lost. I wanted to be done so bad, I sped up to try again & tried Glasswing bB and won. I'm just glad to be done with this tournament.

So I have 3 islands that I play and the last few tournaments I have only been able to finish on 2 of the 3 and they aren't even the same 2 of 3 each time which leads me to believe that it's programmed this way. I have been playing all 3 for years and have never had this problem before! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks starship412. My son used his fire level 10 again and finally got glasswing down. He was so happy. I told to just tap the buttons. He used bmb. Thanks again. I got 1 more before I play light mother so we will see.

Ridiculous is right! I'm now stuck on Sorceress of all things! Probably 10 losses so far

Mystctattoo I used my glasswing dragon on sorceress with one hit bash. So I hope that helps.

Finished with 2 hours to spare. Thanks for all the suggestions. I used my glasswing level 9 to beat the little wizard. One hit Bash. KO!

Sadly, I couldn't finish either. I got to about round 17 and stayed there until the timer ran out.
I went for this seeing as how little hero seems to make such a frequent appearance on battle threads..but the type chart didn't work too great for me after round twelve or so but then I could be reading it wrong.
