General Observation
It seems food spent to raise animals to epic does not guarantee wins in tournament. In many of the early rounds, even when fighters have the right elements, they are very often beaten by below Level 10 opponents. And, being defeated six+ times in so many rounds takes away all the fun.

If luck plays such an important part I will certainly reconsider raising any more animals to epic

Being on holidays I have been able to play this tournament on an average of 14 hours a day. With so many defeats I could never have completed it during a normal work week. I now have the Turtle on the nest and hope I have enough time left to hatch it before time runs out.

Next tournament animal will have to be very special to tempt me to play again

I have been on Round 22 for some time and had troubles in defeating Sapphire Sphinx (see my post in #6). I needed a few tries to defeat Hot Dog (Round 20), but Round 22 might be more difficult.

I finally got him on my third attempt by using Thorilla lightning. Dark is supposedly strongest against him but lightning worked better this time.

It took me 10 tries to defeat Sapphire Sphinx (Round 22). I was experimenting with Storm Sphinx using Lightning. It took me 6 tries to get the critical hit (the 18th strike). From now on I won't try the same fighters for more than two times. By the way, Seafoam Sloth (Round 23) was so easy, beaten by Pedal Peacock in two strikes using Rainbow.

Sometimes a common animal can defeat a Super rare or Ultra rare animal. You can try Skyger or another dark animal you have. Hope this will help

You might try your Trent or another tree type critter. I just beat it with my Trent after all of yesterday of trying all my dark elements and all failed much to my frustration good luck keep trying

Plant is strong against Sapybura. I won using Ancient Sloth I believe (whichever is listed on page one).
I don't have any of the special ones like rainbow/magic/crystal/halloween/etc., so I can't always use what others have posted and have to experiment. Keep trying!

Just completed the tournament by beating Napping Turtle with Grand Unicorn by Rainbow. It took me 4 tries in defeating the turtle (i.e., 9 strong hits and one critical). Coincidentally, in the final three rounds Rainbow is the strongest element and I enlisted all of my four Epic Rainbow animals (Grand Unicorn, Pedal Peacock, Rainbow Raven, and Pinata Puppy) to the fight. Nappy Turtle is in Storage now but I doubt I will bring it out anytime soon. Good luck to all still fighting.

Rainbow is strong against both Water and Nature in Napping Turtle while Lightning is strong only to Water (only neutral to Nature). Thus, from the statistical perspective, using Rainbow should have a better probability in defeating the turtle. However, I got 9 strong hits before a critical strike while your Lightning rendered a critical hit in the first strike. I don't know how many times you have used Liger's Lightning during the tournament. I used Grand Unicorn's Rainbow for the first time in Round 25. It should be fresh and should provide a better chance in giving its best shot. Hope this information is useful.

Thanks. I have 3 lightning (SR) animals on epic form for battling. I switch between these 3 during the tournaments. I dont know for sure how many times I just used it, but probably more than once.

Seriously one of the hardest ones! I got stuck in Round 15, then Round 16, then Round 17, then round 18 and now Round 19 T_T At this rate I won't finish in time. I have literally lost those rounds about 5 times each or more. :(

It depends what weapon you have. You should refer to Post #11 by Hiloves69 in this thread for strong elements against Nature and Fire (see below):

19) Cactus Kitsune 20 (Nature/Fire) -> (fire gem spring halloween rainbow* / water service zodiac rainbow*)

The strongest element should be Rainbow (strong against both Nature and Fire) so you should use your fighters with the Rainbow element. If you don't have, you should try Fire, Water, or Gem elements. You have to try it on your own.

Pisces has been my nemesis. Yet another failed tournament. You know, some of us have to work TL. No way we can make these shorter tournaments that happen mid week, especially when you take away 15 hours at the beginning. This tournament did not appear until 5:00pm EST on my device. You're using the right elements there is no guarantee of a critical hit when it happens, with little time left you can use 4 gems to try again or wait for the next hour and hope you get a critical hit

If it's worth the gems to get a guarantee **** shot to complete the tournament you can do that too, but no one can say to use a certain animal and you be guaranteed that animal will hit critical, sometimes you can fail multiple times in a round before a critical comes
