And this is why I get frustrated / don't like the tournaments. This is supposed to be a 3 day tournament but the timer is already down to 2 days 10 hours. This is the fourth time I have logged on to the game since this morning. This is the first time the tournament has appeared. Why are we prevented from seeing the tournaments for 12 hours? There is no way I can get through 18 rounds in 2 days so not going to bother. Too many other quests in the hopper. Good luck all who are challenging themselves

I totally agree. Same here, which means I only have one day to finish the tournament because I spend Sundays in church. It's not likely I would finish anyway as I have not even beat round one yet, I have got all strongs with my super rare and ultra rare animals. This is insane. When it is improbable that I will win, I don't even try. I never spend gems in an 18 round tournament. Why try?

Not sure what you have, but you can try dark, fire, rainbow or birthstone, birthstone is strong against both gem and nature

I'm situated in the Southern Hemisphere so it's normal for me to see the tournament icon appear while I'm logged in playing with less than the advertised hours available but this one had almost a day gone before it appeared. Has it got anything to do with age of Ipad? In any case I have now joined the list of players no longer excited about tournaments. I don't expect them to be easy but when epics with the relevant Strong elements get beaten 6 times in a row by much weaker opponents it challenges the need to spend food to raise animal levels. I have no chance of completing this one and for the first time I don't care - especially now that the food rewards are so much less Good luck to all

I was progressing well until today. ONly had two left. Got #17 this morning and have spent practically the ENTIRE day on the rooster!

I was progressing well until today. ONly had two left. Got #17 this morning and have spent practically the ENTIRE day on the rooster!

Do you have a Lullabison? I got the Rooster down with the Lullabison using either music or the earth element. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, Buttercup. I used Lullabison but didn't get it. I then sped up the timer and used Pokey Pilot and got the Rooster with Earth on the first hit....finally!!!! Now I can get some rest.

6 hours left 4 rounds to go. I used beast on round 15 and nothing. Is there anything else that will work besides those gems and diamonds .

I got the rooster using Tigger the Sabertooth Tiger (Cave Art Sabertooth), earth. It took two hits but both were critical and I snuffed the rooster <cue Alice in Chains music>.

Heather, I didn't keep track but I think I finally got the Thankfowl using Hydroyak water.
I don't yet have any gem, crystal, fairy tale, or magic critters.

Now I am on lap 18 and have not been able to defeat Year of the Rooster. I fought the whole night and am now dog-tired, unfortunately the tournament is not finished. Good night :(

Yes! Finally won. Got the little guy in storage for now and will take him out once the next leaderboard starts.
I was stuck on round 16 all day and thankfully lost round 17 twice and also lost 18 twice but then won with 2 hours to spare.

Looks like I ain't gonna win this one. 2 hours left and still 2 rounds . I tried the airy otter and lost to round 17. So I don't think I'm gonna make it especially since I see everybody having trouble with the rooster round. Oh well it would have been nice to win my first tournament in this game .

Half asleep last night had two rounds left. I rarely use gems on speeding, but I like the rooster, so I used the 4 gems to battle again for the last two rounds and got lucky. Yay!

I just want to say, Last night I had a dream that my win didn't go through due to a bad synch or something and had to fight it again and win it only to have it not go through again... lol 1st world scary dream problems XD
