Lost half an hour game play

I completed one of those on the path challenges and got to open one of the gift boxes. The reward was a half an hour "infinity lives" thingie. While playing a level with about 20 minutes left of the "infinity lives reward" the game stopped, a notification that the game had just updated popped up and just like that I lost the infinity reward and it showed that I had only 4 lives left.
Can this please be rectified?!
