Manticores are the original source if I remember correctly. Have you got the Forgotten Roost up and running yet? If not you need to work towards that and you'll need Sabina too. The Magic Garden might drop the odd venom too.

Found: magic garden, manticore, glimmer fountain, Poinsettia Manticore (Baron's tent), Flower Power Manticore, Wily Werebeast, Haunted Castle, Frankencore (Baron's tent)

As to the Forgotten Roost and Sabina, you need to unlock her first and then expand to the forgotten roost as part of those goals. Have a look through the Main Goal Guide (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?94062-Castle-Story-New-Main-Story-Goal-Guide) as that has all of the info you need to get through these goals. The goals for Sabina are in post 20 onwards. :)
