Flower Fusion - Goals


Goal Pre-requisites & Notes:

1. Spellbound dew will drop from all shrubs. It will not drop from the Flower Garden.

2. The levels required to unlock the flowers/shrubs:
Flower Fusion Goal and all new shrubs are min level 18
- Iceland Poppy Patch is min level 4
- White Trillium is min level 8
- Blue-Flower Penstemon is min level 11
- Rocket Larkspur is min level 13
- Red Trillium is min level 1
- Talinum Auranticum is min level 6
- Arboretum building is locked by Goal

3. Arboretum Shrubs - Timers:
- Iceland Poppy Shrub - 3 minutes
- Auranticum Shrub - 5 minutes
- White Trillium Shrub - 10 minutes
- Penstemon Shrub - 3 minutes
- Larkspur Shrub - 5 minutes
- Flower Garden - 20 minutes
- Red Trillium Shrub - 20 minutes

PART 1:
Ivy: Oh, today has been so frustrating!
Ruler: What's wrong, Ivy? Nothing serious, I hope!
Ivy: No. I'm just disappointed. I wanted to plant new flowers, but I am out of space!
Ruler: Hmm... I wonder if there is a way to create a more compact garden? Compact plants... Oh! I wonder if I could breed some new smaller plants species!
Ruler: I'm sure with your s****s you could totally do it!
Ivy: Aww, shucks! Thanks, Ruler! I'm excited! I'm going to get started on plant research right away!
Ruler: Excellent! I hope we can increase the kingdom's output with this!


PART 2:
Old Thomas: Hello, Young Ruler! You seem rather busy, and I have not seen Ivy in ages! Could I be of any assistance?
Ruler: Hello, Old Thomas! Ivy and I have been experimenting with space-efficient plant life! And right now I think she is researching...
*A loud BOOM can be heard in the distance...*
Old Thomas: My goodness! Miss Ivy, are you okay?!
Ivy: I thought I almost had it! Buy my cauldron exploded, and you can the result... Maybe a larger cauldron would help?
Old Thomas: I am certain I have read of similar plant work before... I just need to find the scroll! In the meantime, make sure you have a Storage Cellar! I will explain when I return!
Ruler: Wow! Look at Old Thomas go! He must be as excited about this as we are!
Ivy: It certainly seems so! I wonder what he meant about needing a Storage Cellar... Oh well! In the meantime, let's get back to work! After I take a quick bath.


PART 3:
Old Thomas: I have returned, Young Ruler! And with the scroll as promised!
Ruler: Very good, Old Thomas! What did you find out?
Old Thomas: Ahem. According to "Hefty Harvests ad Happy Horticulture", we must build an Arboretum!
Ivy: Ooo~ What is that? It sounds fancy!
Old Thomas: You see, Miss Ivy, one can combine the properties of two plants into one hybrid plant! It is simply magnificent!
Ivy: Wow! That's like exactly what we needed! Excellent!
Old Thomas: Once we build an Arboretum, you can experiment with hybrid plant life!
Ivy: So we can make all sorts of new plants?
Old Thomas: Precisely! I am excited to record our discoveries!
Ruler: The possibilities seem endless! Let's build this Arboretum! I hope that with the new plants we can make our kingdom even more beautiful!


PART 4:
Ivy: I'm so excited! I want to get working on my super flowers right away!
Ruler: As do I! I think we can really beautify and better the kingdom with these new plants!
Old Thomas: Yes, very good. But before you two start, I need to explain about the Storage Cellar. The Arboretum can ONLY use plants stored within the Storage Cellar.
Ruler: So I need to place Ivy's plants in the Storage Cellar?
Old Thomas: Yes! This way we do not use plants that you had not intended to breed. So place any plants for the Arboretum in the Storage Cellar first!
Ivy: Okay, that makes sense! I'll grab my plants and place them in the Storage Cellar!

The goals are super easy and do not require much use of energy (6 only in total for all 4 parts unless you don't meet the building requirements) and they don't appear to be timed.

basically you can read the info right there under the picture.
some are 1x1 some are 2x2 space. the one i crafted is 2x2. pictures from the inventory. timer is 20 minutes. dropped various petals

I believe only the Flower garden is 2x2, the rest are 1x1. timers vary from 2-5-10-20 min.

Well, I just had a another weird thing happen today! Made my last visit to Old Thomas, the dialog started & was on like page 3 when everything reset back to part 1 & me needing to visit Ivy. Force closed but will give that another try. These things never happen to me but today must be my lucky day...lol

Yes, unless you got those red tranium via Adventure. I did get one

I like the thought of multiple petals from all these newbies, and they are quite pretty.

Good news about the gems! I just collected from Ivy and held my breath. :)
I made it through the dialog and got in the 1st visit to Old Thomas. So far so good. I'm very surprised they released this today with the storybook going on. But I'm glad, it's kinda nice to see Ivy blowing things up again! :cool:

Ps. I agree 100% about the red trilliums! But I'm looking also at how much less energy and space it'll take to collect tons of the other color petals for updates (and maybe those elves). I'm one of the fans of the mythic mushrooms just because of their multiple drops, just wish they were only 1x1.

This is to be remembered.. if 'gem plants' are in your kingdom.. they will NOT be used. Only plants that are stored in your Inventory will be consumed.. and after using the 'Confirmation Tab'

Sending knights there with two Halls and one Barracks increase the chance.

Thanks for looking up that adventure. I just sent out a feral lands in the barracks earlier today, maybe I'll get another red trillium. (I hope I hope I hope! Lol) I have 4 and I know I bought at least one of them....and at least one was in one of those bundles from the pile of gifts a few Christmases ago. I can't remember where the other two came from.
That's my only reservation about this one. Giving up a gem only purchase to craft something. As for the other flowers, I'm all in!

My initial response is that S8 did a great job with this release. This seems to be direct response to what everyone has been asking for. There have been numerous requests to store animals and then be able to collect in bulk -i.e. use less lives and take up less space on the board. So it's not animals, but flowers have been in higher demand lately with the introduction og the Rune Market. If we craft these items, we can put one new item out in place of 3 existing flowers and use only 1 life to collect what it used to take us 3 lives to collect. It may not have been our first choice for animals, but it is something. It gives those of us that have completed the story line a way to amuse ourselves and create pretty items. Plus its not timed which is a refreshing change.

For me, the concern is more about using something I paid gems for, to craft something that may or may not function as the origional purchase did. Right now, they are dropping multiple petals with each collection. But what if that becomes bad for the games economy? And the drops get decreased? I will be angry if I convert my 3 red trilliums to 1 red trillium shrub and it suddenly starts dropping only one petal (for the economy don't cha know).
As many of the long time players can attest, sometimes things DO change :(
The coin flowers don't matter so much, because it's easy to just buy more.

That said, I'll probably end up doing it anyway, because I love the idea of saving space and energy. And truthfully, it's all just pixels. It's not like the red trilliums can be sold back for gems anyway. Sigh.

I had to re-read to find this one. It almost got lost in the shuffle. This seems like a good sign for petals and dew drops! (But it seems like I read that regular read trilliums offered the best chance of dew drops anyway)
Also, the timers seem to be the same as the timers on the single plants. I only have the iceland poppy shrub so far, and haven't collected from it yet, as I am maxed on all petals and dew drops....will update when I collect.

I'm sorry I can't properly answer your question, because I've never gem skipped building a building. But I can tell you from personal experience, I did gem skip Griselda's carriage and statue, and I did NOT get them, it just cleared the goal from my goal book. And I'd have to pay the gems again to buy them from the market place.
My first instinct is that you will be out the gems and still left with an unfinished building.

Fortunately, this one is not timed and it doesn't seem to be a critical part of the story line. We won't know until future updates if there are any follow up goals. My advice is to treat it like a long term goal and work on Sabina and the timed events first. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but soon enough you will run out of things to do and you'll be glad this one is there. (I wish I had a second chance to craft those things I skipped! Lol)

****Ps. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that skipping for 20 gems will only clear the goal from your book, and the building will not auto-complete.

If it can't be stored or sold, then you are correct, it can't be removed. :(
I offer the same advice as my previous post. Hide it in a corner, maybe surround it with trees? And treat it as a long term goal. In the meantime ask neighbors to gift you earth wisps as often as possible! :o Good luck with the expansions!

For example, It looks like you can combine the 3 red trillium into a shrub that you can get 3 red petals every 22 hours. But even if you only have 1 plant out, you can collect it every 20 minutes (so 3 times an hour) and get 1 or 2 petals a collection. Therefore in one hour you get as many from 1 plant as you can get in 1 day from a shrub.

You will only skip the goal. You still have to build it. Not really worth the gem investment. Yes it will take a long time for lever level players to build this building.

@ ShibuyaCloth, on the info cards for the new plants it's says 22 hr collection time. I believe the 22 hrs is the time it takes to craft the plant rather than the amount of time between collections from the plant after it is crafted. Is it possible to clarify this on the info cards for people?

You have to build it in order to Sell or Store it.
You can get lumin essence from both alicolts, they drop it constantly
From the claudron and from adventures too.
And doesn't require crazy materials to craft it. Take it slow:)

So, to craft the Red Trillium bush we have to use 3 Red Trillium flowers/plants ....which I think can only be gotten for 35 gems each.
I like the thought of multiple petals from all these newbies, and they are quite pretty.

Edit.. just saw above post. I didn't know Red Trillium plants could be gotten from adventures. I have never got one yet.


I couldn't remember which adventure so I checked The Hub. It's a possible box drop from Feral Lands. I think I've gotten one from an adventure.

I really liked this update! A no-stress update for once after the rushes of the ice queen! The building is really pretty and so is th flower garden! I had 4 thrillium ine of which from adventures, and i just had to make it. And even the regular shrubs from coin flowers are going to be useful, i' m chronically short on purple petals and it's nice saving the energy. I don't think i' m going to do the red flowers shrubs, tough.

I am also happy with this. I don't normally have flowers out except the faerie flowerbeds - only get them out if I need to stock up on petals quickly. So the shrubs will be much better. And they look prettier than I was expecting when I saw thirst pictures. Plan to make one of each colour and the flower garden to start with. I have no problem using the red trilliums to make the shrub,given they just sit I storage most of the time :)

I've never had a tripple drop from a flower! Does it need a quest to activate that? (Like the farming, that gives more + energy after I finished a quest.)
I'm very lucky if I get 6 petals out of 5 droppings. So for me it's very useful to get more petals for the same energy...

I had 4 trillium flowers and I took the chance and did the red shrub🙂. Three drops and 3 3 4 red petals. Which was what I was expecting, the energy savings is really what I wanted. 3 petals, minimum per collection at 1 energy. I am making the garden with what was my last trillium flower--but today to my great surprise out of the three feral land quests I had going I got two more flowers 🌺!!

Hi all, 2 things....
1. (You know this now, but posting anyway), the gem red trillium plants will definitely be consumed if you craft that shrub.
2. Spellbound Dew is a drop from all shrubs. The flower garden will not drop spellbound dew. The drop rate will likely be low given dew from flowers are rare. We'll need to track this ourselves.

SW just answered my question. I haven't gotten the spellbound dew from any other flower except the red trillium so far. I will wait to craft the shrub until I receive more trillium from adventures.

My concern has been whether we get spellbound dew from them. As I'm busy trying to collect from flowers to build my stocks of the super dooper blocks (can't remember their name) they're pretty decoration for now though.

This is to be remembered.. if 'gem plants' are in your kingdom.. they will NOT be used. Only plants that are stored in your Inventory will be consumed.. and after using the 'Confirmation Tab'

this is an excellent question. i think shrubs won't count at all during these types of goals. (the same way the haunted cottage does not count as a cottage, etc). i will rethink my conversion plans with this in mind. thank you for raising the issue.

Saftest way is to have both.. flowers don't cost much and we have many. Make shrubs for mass collections but keep also single flowers for event watering purpose.
Problem is the gem flower, Red Trillium.. total 105 gems each Shrub! I made 1 but won't convert other 3. I don't have so many as to be an energy-waste when collecting. Shrubs and flowers give the same amount of petals, not triple as said.. only use of energy is less but not significant when collecting from 3 red flowers.. usually we all have few of these.

You will need three of the red trillium plants in order to craft a shrub. And the plants you use to craft them have to be in storage to be able to craft any of the shrubs. Those on the board do not count in the arboretum.

Thanks, I was looking st the wrong one, at the fountain which needs 1 red so it said 0/1 and I was confused because I knew I had, although I did miss the storage part so thanks for clarifying it as I must have had 4 in storage the first time around without realizing it since I only have 2 of each flowers out.

For this reason.. do NOT convert ALL your flowers into Shrubs. Keep Shrubs for mass collecting, but also keep single flowers for particular collecting.. you can always place them last minute as they mature quickly.

It's like the Pirate's Tavern.. sometimes it counts in like the normal Tavern.. sometimes it doesn't.

Tap the Edit button, tap the flower, tap the chest. It should disappear from your game board & now be in your storage.

Moving up a level can bump you over the level limit. Right now 40 energy is the top limit for the free 3-minute 1 energy addition. Collecting from energy sources or leveling up can put you over that limit until it's used up and your back to the 3-minute additions.

I did just make the garden and used 1 red trillium. But I will not convert the 3 red trillium. I get better drop rates with 3 then 1 bush. Energy ratio is not as good but energy is not an issue for me.
