Go to the app store and search emoji. Download a free version and follow the instructions when you open the app.

If you have followed the instructions correctly when running the app, there should be a little globe to the left of your space bar. Tap it and you can explore the world emoji. Following the first post is required. Those are the first steps to using emoji and the app can tell you how to use it anywhere: even Restaurant Story.
