Bakery items disappearing

I tried rearranging the counters and stored a few of them. When I was done designing, the bakery items that were previously placed on the counters that I removed have disappeared! Anyone has any idea how do I retrieve back the items? I tried placing the counters back but my bakery items were just goneeeee.

If you put counters in storage with food on them, you will lose the food. When redesigning, just move your counters out of the way if they have food on them. There is no way to retrieve the food.
