Where did my yerik bearson go?

I completed the Beary scary blizzard event just in the nick of time. After I got the congrats message that said to find yerik bearson in my inventory, the game reloaded and now my yerik bearson is nowhere to be found. Am I really expected to pay 500 gems for something that I spent countless hours earning? How can I get my yerik back?

This has happened before so I'm just wondering if I shouldn't even bother trying to complete the special events. Thanks for any help.
