A collection item will unlock each day and you can get them by doing the respective farm activities. Alternatively you can craft them in the Log Cabin or Elves' Bungalow.

Anyway, just to confirm, we need 4 wrapped gifts to make 1 ham and then 4 hams to make next item and so on, my calculations show that we need in total 262,144 wrapped gifts?! And we still need to keep 1 of each item to complete the collection.

As you see on the picture of Regina, day 2 will give you ham too from collecting from pigs... The Log Cabin can help you to craft those items, which you think you won't get/have much so you will have more full collections (1 of each item = a collection).

Based on what criteria if I may ask? Seems very unfair...that means those of us who do not receive a cabin can't turn in a collection early. We are regulated ONLY to collecting and not being able to craft. I am not sure I understand the thought process behind this

the Log cabin is $1200. I can sell some of my items to get that amount. But without the log cabin, my only other option is the bungalow which is 160 diamonds. I get 5 diamonds from each train delivery, if I am diligent (which I am not) and lucky (which I am not apparently) to gather all items asked for. at 10 diamonds from train each day, it would take me 16 days to be able to afford the bungalow. of course I have some diamonds saved up, but I am going to pass the bungalow, compared to the $1200, the 160 diamonds is too rich for my style.

i honestly don't know how i was selected to be excluded. i checked out my neighbors who are higher level than me and have way more resources than me, and they are all proudly showing off the little log cabin at the front of their farm. Oh well, merry Christmas to me ...

About the cabin log, so sorry it's just for "selected" players. Idk if maybe it's more of a case of limited x number, I managed to get the cabin but that was I think the moment the event went on, maybe sadly they were all taken by early starters? Still that's super unfair and you would think after the disastrous previous event, some alterations and feedbacks would be taken into account.

Welcome to your first Collection Event :)

Yes, after day 1 you still can get day 1 items. Each day will open a new one but the previous one(s) you will still be able to collect too.

My level 50 farm on an iPad has no option for the log cabin. My level 28 on an iPhone has the option. I don't complain about events, but this is really not fair. How can a virtual game have a "limited edition" item and only offer a limited amount to selected players? Seriously? This needs to be fixed.

You should be able to increase the number of slots...once I started crafting something it let me open another slot. I hope it works for you too!

Ok just read this and. I already bought the elves thingy for gems. But no log cabin for $1200. I had a duck crossing that stopped working and sent a request about that and have heard nothing. I have spent money on this game if it's going to be this random and unfair I will gladly quit. I don't need to be frustrated by a game that's meant to be fun. Fix this or I'm out. I'm tempted to write to the Better Business Bureau on Teamlava. They shouldn't get away with tricking their customers to spend good money on a game that has all these bugs. So irked right now! I just sent 10 more deliveries and not one thing dropped. This is very unusual for my farm, usually I'll get a expansion part or paper or a tool with every few deliveries.

The log cabin isn't great this time. Mine requires 4 items to craft the next, so unless planes drop loads of presents it isn't going to be much help. Does the gem one require the same amount per item or is the crafting time shorter? Ham takes 15min in coin log cabin.

Delivery orders are super tough at higher levels and plus my drop ratio, I don't think I'm able to craft a set.

This are correct calculations if you rely only on getting packages from deliveries and yep 262144 are needed in order to craft the very final item, wrapped stone. I forgot to mention that since we need all 10 items for full collection, we will need way more than 262144 packages but my head just hurts to thinking about the exact number needed! What's more, am I right to think that even if we exchange full collection, it's not a guarantee to get a polar bear? If so, we would need even even even more packages o.O

I have had both sets show up. The Ham one appears to be unique to the cabin owners. After completing the 10 wrapped gifts, no new quest/mission popped up, and I'm assuming those will show as we get to the related day for that quest.

I got deliveries ready to send but I'm gonna wait till others start reporting that they are getting packages like at the beginning with almost every order sent out. I used to get sometimes even 2 packages from 1 order.

I sent over a half dozen deliveries this morning. No wrapped gifts. I don't expect one every time, but I do expect a better return rate. Well, I would with other games. (I have not bought the gem cabin.) I have the quest for giving 10 packages but not the one with the ham.

1. I suddenly feel like giving up after read the calculation of wrapped packages needed for day 10 collection. I mean I cannot always online and the drop rate of the packages is amazing too. I can't even buy the igloo habitat because I don't have anymore space on my farm (android can't save habitats to the cellar). Even if I win the polar cub (I thought he was a cute puddle until I saw the igloo) too bad I won't be able to put him on his home. :( This is unbelievable, a great present for xmas from TL.

2. Another question is, I see the adorable siberian husky worth $100,000 and is his home an igloo? I see there are max 3 igloos to buy, but I don't know who else can join the polar cub (or we MAY win more than 3 polar cubs) to put into the igloos. Somehow it reminds me with the Turtle Summer Event last year if I'm not mistaken. Sad to remember almost half of my neighbors complained to the thread because of the unfairness (but then so glad TL fixed it).

I have the cabin and the hut...both are expandable after you start crafting. The hut requires only half as many ingredients. Not sure if this event is doable with so many crafts required to proceed, but perhaps the drop rate will increase.

Nice find! The Siberian husky and polar bear can join the ghost dog (it's more like polar dog to me).

Idk but I find these events to crash/have lots of glitches/uber low drop rate early but then things catch up a day or two later.

I need a break between events. It's like with new ones they are trying to keep us still playing but all the new restriction will be their undoing...

You are correct you are not guaranteed a polar bear cub is you turn in a full collection or even several collections. I would recommend that you set your sights low and expect only decorations and if you win the pet you can be thrilled. This is the same type of event that was used for the Easter event and on that one I turned in almost 30 collections and never received the yellow chick pet. On the other hand other farms received two or three pets. There was a side quest on the Easter event as well where you gave items and there was a different pet at then end. Cannot say if that will happen here since the team did not give us that information up front. One finally observation between the Easter event and this one, it appears that there will fewer decorations this time so hopefully the chance of winning the cub will be higher. It would be nice if we received the cub at the first collection and then random items/pets after that. I would like the cub but my farm is on the unlucky side and after what happened with this previous event I am not expecting a pet this time.

By the way the drop rate for me seems to be 10 deliveries for 1 package. Way too low for the number that we will need in the end.

I feel so frustrated that there is no log cabin option showing in my list. Not only it can make even numbers out of the collection by crafting items but also the cabin is a beautiful building that I can decorate in my farm after event. So unfair....

Have you checked the butterfly collection building? On the tabs, click the most left one. The icon is like a ball thingy.

What time will the collections from pigs unlock? If not until the end of the day, we will be pressed for time on the last day of the event to get enough parts to turn in collections...

My pigs are ready and I've been waiting for Day 2 to unlock, if it's exactly 24h after Day 1 then it will be at 2:30pm PST.

It should be fine with the last day unlocking, the event is supposed to last 12 days, we should have hmmm a 1-2 days after Day 10. I just hope the drop rate from animals/building/fishing/mining will be reasonable

Idk but I find these events to crash/have lots of glitches/uber low drop rate early but then things catch up a day or two later.

You are correct you are not guaranteed a polar bear cub is you turn in a full collection or even several collections. I would recommend that you set your sights low and expect only decorations and if you win the pet you can be thrilled. This is the same type of event that was used for the Easter event and on that one I turned in almost 30 collections and never received the yellow chick pet. On the other hand other farms received two or three pets. There was a side quest on the Easter event as well where you gave items and there was a different pet at then end. Cannot say if that will happen here since the team did not give us that information up front. One finally observation between the Easter event and this one, it appears that there will fewer decorations this time so hopefully the chance of winning the cub will be higher. It would be nice if we received the cub at the first collection and then random items/pets after that. I would like the cub but my farm is on the unlucky side and after what happened with this previous event I am not expecting a pet this time.

By the way the drop rate for me seems to be 10 deliveries for 1 package. Way too low for the number that we will need in the end.

Oh no, that's awful. These luck-based events are tough, you can work your butt off and get nothing or get everything and more. I feel like every year the game is getting harder? I just started playing not long ago but looking back at previous events that's the impression I'm getting.

I stopped doing deliveries until the drop rate is improved but right at the start I used to get 1-2 packages with every single delivery then it suddenly stopped today.

I might wait with collecting from pigs too just in case we get reports that they too don't give us anything back :(

It's a disappointment for sure, and I don't even see new Christmas Decor either... It's a shame too because prior to this the events were really good so much so I would buy the 1400 Gem package about every 2 months or so to show my support and enjoy the decorations. I play other games where this month Food Street for example has a Christmas Advent Gifting Calendar, just for logging in you get free decorations all month long! That's how you celebrate the season! Shame on you Teamlava/Storm8 this distasteful and I certainly won't be supporting it.

I think the Christmas event is after this one. So far it seems that they are squeezing as many events as possible now. We barely finished the previous one and BAM now we got this. If you are up for the Christmas event I advice to save for it, save all you fishing/mining tools, save ore, coins and gems if possible too and don't invest too much in this luck-based event.

I don't see any answers to any of the questions that have been asked about the Log Cabin and how it was determined as to who received the Log Cabin. No answers on the drop rate or any other of the good questions. Where are the moderators or community managers? Storm 8 should be better than this! I've been reading all the comments about the packages no longer dropping and what I noticed is that when I first started the drop rate was great but as soon as I made the ham and then needed to donate the 10 gifts the drop rate reduced to a terribly low amount. It now takes me on average about 12 deliveries just to get one package. I only have the log cabin - I didn't buy the Elves bungalow for gems. I hope they adjust this drop rate otherwise this event is going to just be frustrating.

That white animal looks like a dog I already have on my farm�� And you only have a "chance" of getting it when you turn in a collection. Looks to me like you could get a snowman or other items when you turn in the collection - and you have to have a gift left over to turn it in, as well! No guarantees?

I have not received any gifts in more than a day, plenty of deliveries but nothing, cannot get any further with the collection because you need at least 4 of the previous. I don't understand why they don't listen to all the complaints... their greediness is going to catch up when more and more people give up on the game. The quests are getting harder all the time, unless you play day and night, spend lots of money you can not finish the events. It's just frustrating because it is a fun game but when it gets this hard I do loose interest and I am sure I am not alone!

To win the grand prize, the polar bear cub, you need to turn in collections like you do butterflies or moles. It is completely random, you might get it on the first try, or you might turn in 50 collections and never get it. That's why you want to collect as many of each daily item as you can, because you the have a better chance of getting the bear cub. Some players don't even complete the side goals, just save all the items for the collection machine. Hope that helps :)

Oh if only it was THAT easy. Having full collection doesn't mean you get the polar bear cub, it's random, luck-based, you can end up getting only decorations. This is why on average players turn in several full collections. Or you can be lucky and get it the first time.

About the items from fishing and mining I bet you that some of us will fish or mine x50 and still not get the item. Which is why having the log cabin or the elf one allows you to simply craft it instead of wasting more fishing/mining tools.

Ah, thanks. I guess I misinterpreted that. It's a little confusing to have the Log Cabin where EVERYTHING can be made (with enough of the right components) from the very beginning while the items are unlocked day by day.

Yeah, I started making next items in the log cabin but since packages are rarely dropping it's better to save them to turn full collections in. We can try using hams to make further items in the log cabin since pigs are giving them at a reasonable drop rate.

Tbh, it's a bit boring now trying to do anything although we can (keep collecting hams and eggnogs now) but the event will get much faster on Day 10 with all items unlocked when you get them way faster than crafting through in the log cabin. I just hope the drop rate will be good.

Agreed!! The gifting goal is a joke. And to think it's only goal 2 out of 5, so it will get more diffucult moving on forward. However the polar cub is shown as part of the collections prizes so I do hope that's the case - since that's definitely more feasible than the goals. I doubt I woll win it though since I did win the duckies in the last event, which if I might add was quite stressful to anyone who participated.


The eggnog seems to be dropping every third or so collection, which compared to the hams isn't a great drop rate

FYI, you can get a head start on trying to collect items from shops. The bed and breakfast collection starts tomorrow. So I am crafting now, and will collect tomorrow when the item drops. Same thing for cider mill, which has the drop 2 days from now. Craft a bunch and leave them to collect when the item drops.

The log cabin isn't great this time. Mine requires 4 items to craft the next, so unless planes drop loads of presents it isn't going to be much help. Does the gem one require the same amount per item or is the crafting time shorter? Ham takes 15min in coin log cabin.

It's unlocking for me at exactly the same time every day since the start of event. Try stalking today at 6:30pm your time, the game might freeze a bit for few minutes, the event icon will disappear but everything will be back in a minute or so and another day is unlocked.

If I use 14/15 of my precious packages (4 to a ham, then 10 to give), I won't have any to turn in as collections.

I've never had day 1 be the limiting factor in a collection event before!!

I'm excited about the animal skins. I worry about the extra moving things on my farm. Visiting high level neighbors with them causes my iPad to close ��

I also hope the next generous gift quest comes out today. I needed to harvest 60 pigs to get 20 hams and make 60 cheese to get 20 eggnog. Now I'm afraid to get rid of my pancakes because I'll probably need them soon but, I'm running out of barn space.

If you received a skin outfit for your farm animals, you can change their skin by going into Edit Mode, tapping on the animal pen, and then selecting the Paint Bucket. There you will see other skins for the animal, if you have any.

I am having qualms about starting this quest, as usual. I have not been able to complete any of the others I started since I do not stay on this game 24/7 like others must do in order to meet some of these ridiculous goals. So far I have been able to keep up but doing some rough figuring there is no way I can generate enough hams to continue the need to multiply the daily needs 4x each day. As it is, I bought another hog pen and 4 hogs to try to get more hams but in my last 2 harvests of my 8 hogs, I have received 1 ham!!!!! I will not spend 160 gems for the elf house that will probably be useless after Xmas.

By making these events impossible to achieve without spending real money, they are probably going to make me uninstall this game I have been playing for the last three years.

Number three out of five has been released today and Driver has posted the requirements. I am still saving my presents from planes and have not handed them over I too have very nice skins from previous years so am playing a waiting game to see what is coming.

So far only the first three goals were released and as soon as next one is released rynetory will post it on the first page.

I just don't recall the first item as being limiting before. Usually I was able to use lots of item one to craft upwards to the more difficult items. You could be right that we are higher level now... And all these deliveries might just level me up... Oh no!

Just to clarify, do you mean you don't see options to craft it? Because you can get it as a by-product when you make packages or other B&B items, not actually making the chai-maple cider there. Like with the diary

I think it's about the goal asking for 10 wrapped gifts. Since they are rare there is recommendation to save them to turn full collection in.

I had mention that my butterflies and moles were scarce and not giving any collection items. They have started giving collection items again, and thanks to the mole completed his collection and finished that quest.
That is a relief for now , but it is true that such delays make it difficult.

Just collected eggs from my chickens for the third time today. Only have 8. From the 24 chickens I got 2 of the fancy eggs needed for the event. Ridiculous if they expect us to have a chance to complete the quest. My hams from the pigs is as bad or worse, collected from 8 pigs and got 0 hams.

So today I finally realized my game isn't saving the things I do. I'm working on the generous gift giving day 2 and I constantly make cheese to get the egg nog. But I'll set 3 to be made and open the game later and they'll be none made or pending. And I'll have all my milk back that I had used up to make the cheese. This has happened so many times and I kept thinking I must've forgotten to make them but I just had 2 instances in a row I would make the cheese and open 15 minutes later to find the dairy maker empty with nothing made.

Sorry to hear that. Whenever I see that happening to me, I restart the game completely and after doing important task or setting items to craft etc I go visit my neighbours to force save the game.

I agree..such simple skins....the drop rate is great..I just got 15 boats with the silver lure. I bought the 4.99 pack...made 3 trades and got 2 more dogs.

I tried fishing in smaller number and I didn't get any toys, maybe the key is fishing in large bulk?

Having a bad morning today with this game. I went to use hams to have the elves make the next item and accidentally used packages to make three hams. Then I lost connection to the game and had to shut down and restart. After the restart I used 15 baits in the fishing spot and not one toy boat. Prior to the restart I was getting a toy boat ever 6-7 tries. The chickens and pigs are also not giving any event items after the restart. I am afraid to collect from the sheep just in case they stopped giving as well. I will need the sweaters to make the toy boats I am no longer finding in the fishing spot.

I have been receiving two to three cookies from the trees every collection but that was before the restart. I have noticed that the closer we get to the mining part of the event the few mining tools my pets are dropping. Thank goodness I have been hoarding mining tools but if the fishing spot is empty then mine probably is as well.

I just received my pet polar bear cub after turning in my 17th collection, so it can be done!

To get the toy boats, I also used about 100 dough baits that I had hoarded, and I agree with the above poster who suggested that fishing in bulk seems to give a better drop rate for the boats. Since then I have fished with one or two baits at a time as they are crafted, and the drop rate seems nowhere near as good. Also, I had hoarded three precious golden lures from previous events/packs/Stormies shop, and one of those gave me 14 boats in one hit.

Worst drop rates for me at the moment seem to be the apple trees and sheep; best have been the pigs and chickens. Hit-and-miss ones are deliveries, dairy, cider mill, bed and breakfast, and fishing pond.

I'm going to keep crafting collection items in the elves' bungalow so that I can stock up on decorations. Good luck everyone!

Ok, this event is not so bad. I just got the pet now, the decorations are nice too so I will keep going to get as many as I can. Generally, I'm quite pleased. I'm glad I didn't have to use mining tools at all, will save them for next event.

I'm also having a hard time with the apple trees. Are trees a "standard crop"? I was thinking about using a bronze bell to buy a crop boost.

My toy boats are fine, I also hoarded bait and bulk fished last night. I only had 40 but, it was enough to get me a comfortable amount of boats. I've done the same with pick axes and shovels. I hope that works out for me too

I wish I knew. I have used different bait and nothing. I've written to Storm8 and complained and made a ticket, but haven't heard back and now there is no way to get them all for the sheep outfit. So frustrated.

I hate these horrible luck events. I just handed in tons of collections and got tons of the tree , stupid paths, and presents. Not one pet..These luck events are not fair. All that work and no end prize.storm 8 is the worst.the events should be if you do the work, you get the prize. Not hope you get lucky. I will not spend another penny on storm 8 games.

Trying to stay positive but so frustrating with luck based. So much work and I have 23 paths, numerous trees, 2 sleighs, presents and no pet.
The pond was actually great for drops. Mine not so much have already blown through 20+ tools. Apples is awful too...
At least with previous luck events if you did the goals you got a pet.....I should've saved all my drops and not wasted them for skins😕

I wish they would not make the mine part of these events. I just used 40 picks and shovels and only got the christmas coal one time, and then when I exited the mine I got the 'walking chicken' icon and it took it away but still kept the shovel I had just used to get it. I spent 9 days getting the other items and now they are worthless!

This is a 1000% luck event. I didn't craft anything at my log cabin, but I got 3 coals in a row.

And that made me won the polar cub at my 5th try, thanks to my bad wifi connection, I failed to get the 2x corner snow path and 2x sleighs, also the trees. In total, I (only) won the cub and 3x snow path. I did not win anything on yesterday event. I guess this time I'm just lucky enough to win the grandprize. Thank you Storm8.

Each of the igloos can max keep 3 snowy pets. Is it for any pet? Or only for the polar cubs?
Since this is a luck based event, I'd like to chase my 2nd or 3rd cub if I could. Please no offense :o I wish TL tell us the number of lost cubs we are chasing, if it is limited in the beginning, I'll stop seeking now, hehe...

Congratulations to those whom got the bear. I'm DONE deliveries have stopped along with no prizes from apple trees on day 9. Completed all the side events except giving boats and coal to get the sheep skin. I've turned in 35 collections. ( Yes shutting down and re-starting game). Received no bear. Luck people it is not it's greed and TL being manipulative against the people playing these games. TL you control this event from the beginning. Only certain gamers got to purchase the cabin. I was not, nor have not wanted to be treated special. Always bought whatever the extra multipler to produce the gifts in this type of event. Excepted a challenge, not greed.I played this game and spent money on gems along with working 24/7 trying to complete these events and in the end don't get the final prize. DONE, DONE...I'm stopping now. Good-bye. Sorry neighbors.

I've given up trying for the boats. I have been fishing since this event started and only caught one boat. I made 2 for a total of 3 and that's all I have. Very frustrated and I haven't heard back from Storm8. And because I'm not getting all the stuff needed to turn in for a prize, except once, all I got was a pile of gifts. After all that hard work donating, wish I hadn't now, we all thought he cub was the prize after completion of the quest only to realise it's a "possible" turn in, I have done 20 turn ins, yes 20!!! Guess what I got, sleighs, presents, a snow man, Xmas tree and loads of stupid stepping stones but guess what, NO POLAR BEAR CUB, now I have no chance of getting it as ran out of mining tools, and UK time difference means the time will expire when I'm asleep.
