Norman, why are some ppl registered?

I have been checking the membership list and there are new members registered since the 1st of March. They are not listed as moderators, so why are they registered while registration is not open to the rest of us? Also, I thought we were going to have another mod on here, Savoy? I have not seen a word from her since she was introduced.

In fact, none of the 4 mods have answered any questions on here. Enough with stupid contests and meaningless events! Try answering the questions of the players on here!

Try inviting some of those "User IDs" in your Story games. You'll notice that they are actual Storm8 IDs; not all of them play every Teamlava game so in some cases you'll see "You've invited so-and-so to be your neighbor" and yet not see them listed in your pending list.

A couple of things might be happening here:
Maybe these people just got lucky and clicked on the registration link at the right time ->> Highly improbable
They may be experimenting with auto forum registration just like in the Storm8 games - this is GOOD as it would thin down the garbage that gets dumped in here and give the trolls a pause
They may be slowly converting our Teamlava games Storm8 ID into Teamlava forum accounts - may not be too good as most Story players who don't play Storm8 games wouldn't have set a password for their IDs - they can do this in the Help/FAQ section of the menu in each game

So perhaps at long last we might finally see forum registration being implemented.

I registered yesterday. You need a storm 8 id and password, which you can get from playing a storm 8 game (not a teamlava one, but a proper storm 8 one). Then you can use your storm 8 id and password to register on this forum.

Actually no, you don't have to go through a Storm8 game. I just created a password within the Help/FAQ section of a Teamlava game, logged-in once in the Storm8 forum then just logged-in here.

I didn't have to read any post on the forum, just spent 5 minutes testing, but thank you anyway.

Now all they need to do is stop accepting unregistered posts.

We are working on implementing registration so that could be one of the side effects we see as registration is being implemented. Once registration has been fully implemented, we will give you more information on how to get yourself an account. :cool:

Fair enough. I already had a storm 8 password that I created when I downloaded one of their games to get the free gems, so I just registered using that. Its good to see you registered.

Thanks deadpixel for telling how to do this, because I did not want to have to go through the bother of playing any Storm8 games. This worked great and was no trouble at all.

Yep, the report post button is great... but it does have one catch, you can only report 1 post every 60 seconds. So when I came across a bunch of porn filled threads last night, it took me a long time to report each of them. But YES! The report button is fantastic. We are on our way to a cleaner forum!
