the Spooky Hollow Storybook event was my last dedicated moment to Castle Story. I was was wired from the beginning around summer 2012. with a fully state, as 100% full stocks of almost all the possible items, all building levelled up to 5, in some cases to 6, or the ones from events that pushed us until level 10. coins, more than 61 millions, energy, just about of 14 weekly unicorns and about 10 daily special unicorns and dragons ... 3 adventure buildings, all the personages given during all the events ... much much more, leaving all behind my back
play the game has been fun, but the world turns around everyday and move ourselves to other directions, which makes us doing other decisions different to the ones we had yesterday. that's how I see it.
so, why I am shutting it off?!
there is several reasons, and none of them died alone on the beach, such as:
- Hardware problems, drains the battery as no other of my Apps
- Eats my monthly data plan, as no other
- ****s my patience during the time events
- Makes me loosing the chance to socialise, as I like to do, because the demand to keep playing during the time events
- Inclusion of 3rd party advertisement
- Slow, very slow to start, or to go and visit the neighbours or community
- While playing, I am not able to hear my own music from my library
- so many events, with so many nice decorations & Buildings & personages, but then so small place to keep them "alive", missing much more expansions, probably limited by server capacities
the game was launch on iOS 5, we are at iOS10. means the Developers did a big effort to keep the game alive adapting it always for the new iOS. but let's be honest, it is everything about adapt to the new reality, because the base structure is still the one developed for iOS5.
I started the game with my iPhone 4s, then later went ahead with my 5s, and during last year until today in my 6s.
For me it THE END, thanks guys for much fun, many many many hours of joy.
