What's wrong with the S8 servers?

I am an android player living in Europe (i mention it, because i think different zone players connect to different servers).
Since the Leaderboard event has ended and appeared the new Tales event (7 hours ago) i can't play anymore.
Most of the time i see the error message "Dragon Story is an online game and requires internet access..."
If i press on the retry button, sometimes i finally enter my island, but i can't do anything that triggers the server (like breeding, mining etc.) and after about 30 seconds i see the error message again.
Every list (like community or neighbors' one) take ages to load and if i try to visit any neighbor or random player i see only the "processing" message and of course after a few minutes appears the general error message again.
The wheel makes only perpetual spinning etc.
For sure, there is an overload of the server and and i hope it will be fixed soon!

Please, don't tell me that it's my fault.
I have tested 3 different great Android devices and 3 different internet connections.
I have also tested other S8 games (like Fantasy Forest Story, Castle Story, Restaurant Story etc. and all have similar issues).

I am surprised that i am the first one, which mentions it in the forum...

ISP network is having issues in some parts of Europe so your game is affected. Sorry about this. :(


:( Just heard but it seems like parts of Northern Europe is experiencing some server outages. This is the reason why the games are either slow/having sync errors/ and unable to be access the game. :( Please have them try tomorrow. So sorry for the inconvenience!

game disconnect frequently, cant use it. Forum doesn't open or open partially. Please check your servers , firewalls and routes, let us play! I can't even send gold to my friends, put something to breed, fight, collect...

Are you in Europe? ISP network is having issue and some parts of Europe are affected.

I thought I saw your post but it disappeared, maybe the connections... I'm afraid I won't be able to get updates from the ISP since it's not Storm8 issue. But I'll keep a lookout on the forum if I see news from other forum members. :)

Same problem here. I am also from Europe and an android player and I am not able to play since the leaderboard event ended. I am currently stuck at round 20 of the tournament and desperately need to finish this to collect the corrupted crystals :( I really hope that this problem will be solved soon.

@rado_nik - it may be problem with their provider which connects Europe with USA where, I believe, are S8 servers. We could prove that by using some proxy in USA to see is it working as it should, but I don't have time to test it... some routing rule or some router in providers network could be causing this issue with route back to source... which is causing our disconnects from S8 servers. So we can only wait :( and S8 could give us extra time (e.g. 24 hours more) for tournament and events because of those problems!

I now can confirm that S8 servers woks - i just connected my network through free vpn in Canada:

and was able to play without disconnecting - spin to win, fight, breed... so definitively not S8 issue.

For cyberspace, in order to connect to a destination server, the data has to travel across different servers across different countries. If any ISP along the way is having issue, your data will not be able to get across.

I am sorry to say, but in my situation, it seems that the problem isn't in Europe, but in USA.
My data travel directly through my ISP in Southern Europe to USA (amazon.ashburn2.ash.seabone.net) and then the problem begins...
As you can see in my trace route table, during Hop 1 - Hop 5, when the data are still in my country, there is no problem at all.
On hop 6 the data reach within USA and then i have either high latency or mainly packet loss.
So, something happens in the route between the Amazon Servers and the Storm8 Servers...

EDIT: I forgot to mention that friends of mine, which use the same ISP, but iOs devices, don't be affected by this issue. They have only more latency than normal during the game play.

Same issue here, I am in Eastern Europe.
Since the Leaderboard event end I cannot access none of the S8 games, as well as Dragon story
It would be fair to extend the Tournament with 24 hrs, cause it is due to S8 servers issue

Unfortunately, 32 hours after the problem appeared, still there is no fix and the only temporary solution is by tunnelling our data through unsecured free vpn servers, which may expose our devices to any risks!
