I'm pretty sure that I'll not get very far on this since lots and lots of dragons are still at the spa after last tournament. But at lest some new dark stones will be good.

Looks like corrupt crystals on rounds 8, 13, 20, 22, and 26! If this is correct looks like a chance to get 5!


I hope we don't need to win every corrupt crystal offered in these to be able to craft. I'm hoping they offer more than bare minimum as I was only able to get 2 from last tourney. I have 10 total. So if I'm already behind I'm in trouble these crystals are worth 100 gems a piece and I'm hoping I can win all that are needed.

These tournaments really tick me off. Makes me so not want to participate. Lost in first two rounds with dragons that had 90% chance. Now on the first corrupt and round 5 all defeated with dragons that had a 75% chance. Others don't seem to have these issues according to the results they post.

These tournaments really tick me off. Makes me so not want to participate. Lost in first two rounds with dragons that had 90% chance. Now on the first corrupt and round 5 all defeated with dragons that had a 75% chance. Others don't seem to have these issues according to the results they post.

My son has been having this issue so far (he's a mid-level player). He was pretty mad when he lost with something that had a 90% chance of winning, for real?!? We keep trudging along, sometimes we throw a magic instead of a bash, sometimes he throws out some random level 1 or common and it just works. We are keeping better track in the forum and seeing what works for each of us.

Yes I know what you mean. It stinks to lose with odds like that! I lost to that little level 2 with really great odds several times and wanted to seriously throw my phone! I did end up getting him the next day with cursed idol. I go into these knowing I'm going to have trouble in the later rounds but getting stuck on an early round and very low level dragon is maddening! I hope your luck turns around!

Round 20 - kept plugging away with level 15 Diamond, Infinity, and Achilles until Achilles finally won. Spent more than a full day on that round.

I keep a champion at level six for the lower battles, then move on to a champion level 10, and don't use anything level 15 for the first half of the tournament. Others have posted not to use more that a six level spread between opponents.

I only tried that dragon because of bingo requiring a battle with gemstone, and thankfully it worked . Hope it will help someone else 2!!

He won with Paladin on the 48 dragon tournament, didn't work this time, Bride of Franken, gone. I hate that I sailed past him and now we've been stuck for almost a day with him.

Any suggestions at all - not a lot of fancy dragons to speak of so many of the ones used/mentioned don't help him out - any "go to" color combinations or more recent dragons???

I used Apprentice level 10 with Mm. Possibly just luck, but you could give it a try. Every now and then Apprentice does the trick surprisingly.

His diamond is a 10. The only metal type he has is a forgefather and that thing has been useless for him. He's on iOS not sure if that matters on the delete/reinstall option.

Nope not yet. And he really likes the prize, wish I could just give it to him. Diamond goes down again. Little Hero went down, Cursed Idol down, his spa line is so long! He will probably ditch this for Tales. He now has 3 champs so getting the crystals isn't as important as it once was (I think).

I'm done. Forget this. Losing over 30 dragons to one opponent is bull and they know it. Dynasty is not invincible like these play him out to be. I guess my complaints struck a nerve and now the algorithm on my game is screwed up. I should not have lost with a level 15 Diamond dragon 5 times when it has a better shot at winning than any other dragon.
Yes, I would like a response by one of the mods on why this is happening. No dragon should be able to beat over 30 others in a row.

I wouldn't if I were you. I'm getting on Storm8's back about this and I hope others do too. It's not right for people to lose 30 or more times to one dragon. I'm to a point to where I'm calling out these folks since they're ignoring this issue.

What perplexes me ,being algorithm ignorant, is how some users can get a dragon to topple yet others using the same Dragon / same level can't win the fight. Is it once you use ultimate a dragon it sends you off the list of "soft touches"?.

My poor son can't get past Stalwart, we've been throwing everything he's got at it. Poor guy was going to ultimate it last night (he always asks first) and I told him no, too many champs still waiting for him. He's just given up. I feel for all of you stuck on these dragons, there's got to be a point where we can get past them, like after 10 battles - at least that would be something to work for, knowing you can finally get past each one.

Thankfully I only have one dragon to beat in the morning. My metal was effective today, that guy is getting some food for sure once tales is over and I save up. Gotta figure out what to throw at the cobra.

After a rough time with Dynasty, I was glad to put Fruition down pretty quickly with my Elf (and got a Bingo square for using a green dragon). Not looking forward to facing Shaman, but hopefully since Dynasty gave me such a hard time he'll go down easily. Fingers crossed.

I also suggested that it should be auto-win function after losing for example 15 times against same dragon. S8 should listen to players.... Its frustrating when some beat dragon first time battle, and some must try 40 times!

I feel for those of you battling the same dragon for days! I have NEVER had a suggestion from this board work on a dragon I am stuck on so I know that what works for one does not always work for others. Please don't misunderstand...I appreciate the feedback. :)

My opinion is that each opponent should weaken each time it is battled. Maybe it's a level 20 the first time and it drops to 19, then 18 etc. It could still take time to get down but at least would make for a believable battle.

Same here! Shaman went down in the first round to my Metal 11, and then Cobra went down on the first hit from Lightning 10. Bam. Cobra in storage. I was prepared for another few hours of fighting. I'm glad to be done. :)

Here's my results so far. I know I said I would post after 20 but I see some are having difficulty so far so here goes:

27. Fruition - Playful 13 B (Food producing dragons use green vines magic and they're weak against fire element dragons so Playful or Fire would be wise choices)

At that high of a level, Fruition has no particular weaknesses. It may use the vines, but it's still a food-producing type, not a green type (like how Champs use black magic but are different in battle than black types). Every dragon in the game, regardless of level, has a 10% chance of beating it. Defeating it is a matter of persistence and some luck hitting the odds jackpot. My fingers are crossed for you for a quick victory!

The only trouble I really have with Corrupt dragons is Corrupt Stalwart but I've had success with Angel and Mage. My girlfriend had success with Banshee and Lorekeeper. I guess it's weak against white hybrids for us.

Being a high level player I really don't have any low level champs even my light mother(which I tried too) is a lvl 9. I think that my islands are staggered enough that I can use amazon on the island that light mother lost on and light mother where amazon lost. My fingers are crossed for my next try. I'm so done looking at fruition!

Took me two tries with my Metal 12. I lost an infinity and something else while I waited for him to heal.

FWIW My diamond (13) is a joke too, my infinity (15) seems to do much better but yes definitely not reliable.

I beat shaman with my fire 13. In a previous tourney fire 13 worked as well.
my diamond 15 is hopeless against anyone over lvl 14 too.

First Dynasty now Shaman. This is ridiculous. Shaman shouldn't even be in the tournament at #29 and as I said before, I don't have the money to buy gold to ultimate. I have a suggestion, drop the time between battles to 30 minutes if you want to make champions that hard to beat and sneak more of them. You already took out the 5 gold for beating champs. Give your players incentive to keep playing instead of making it impossible to want to stay with you. I hope you're listening Storm8 because you already lost 3 players according to this thread and many more in others. We want to keep liking this game.

If you have any extra food (yeah sure :)) I'd level up Fire to 15.
He works on Champs for me now and then when Diamond isn't working.

So over this I do not know how I got past Corrupt Stalwart, maybe they gave it to me after 50 loses but now stuck on Dynasty for the last day and I cannot even get past the first act of chapter 1 of Tales.

I have been stuck on gold for more than a day now. My prizefighter, infinity and glasswing have taken multiple hits. So have fire , prism and angel. Don't know what to do. May just have to ultimate it. So not wanted to spend gold in this tourney.

If you want to take gold out of tournaments then lower the time between battles to 30 minutes and also lower the healing time to an hour. Give your players incentive to keep playing. No dragon should take 39 and 18 hours to beat. All of this is becoming a chore instead of fun.

Oh that's just terrible with Dynasty for you. They should've made that one easier for you because you have no diamonds. I know what that's about but I'm not going to mention it in the forum but it's really sad. I hope we get a response about Corrupt Crystals too.

I finally finished with about 20 minutes to spare. I admit to use some gond to retry for Cobra. I'm not very happy about it but I was too close and I spend to much time and effort (plus some bonus videos) in this so I had to try again. I don't remember anything about the last 10 battles except that some dragons basically ****ed me.
Now I'll just battle the necessary ones for the Tales but for the rest of the time I'll just try to heal everybody. And I hope that Cobra will look good in his home after I hatch him (probably during the next leaderboard or something)

I ended up spending 30 gold for shaman wiping. After 3 day of fighting him no other way since I was running out of time. But I have cobra in my basket. It's nothing special but I like the looks...
Overall I think they overreacted with this holding up on people. No everybody has Champion or diamond to just walk through the turnny in one day... come one storm give people some slack so they can really enyoj and even spend money/gold on some other stuff....

I tried doing this tournament with no gold. Could not complete it. I have Diamond, Infinity, Achilles, and Centurion all at level 15, as well as loads epic plus.

Lost many battles throughout the tournament - especially Corrupt Stalwart, Dynasty, and Fruition - spent well over a day on each of them. Never made it to Shaman - which seems to have been super-tough, too!

Fortunately, the losing battles did not have too much impact on my Tale... I am all caught up now.

Would just like to point out that I started off strong - had won 18 battles by day 2. Then it went downhill fast... Glad it wasn't an unusual combo or champion! Or maybe I would have spent gold to get the dragon.

Congrats to those who won! I decided a couple of weeks ago that I'm not spending gold anymore until i have enough to buy a goldgiving dragon. That will take a long time and it's not easy with battles like these. I got stuck on dynasty for i don't know how many fights and I didn't get to beat him. I only hope that I'll still be able to get the dark one since I didn't get a crystal but I'm proud I stuck with it and didn't give up/in. I'll get him next time, or not. Luckily my life doesn't depend on it ;-)

How do you tell which dragons can defeat symbol dragons? For example, the rose symbol doesn't show on any color charts I've seen. Also, there was a dragon with champion symbol with an eye. I've seen which colors to use against the food, dynamite, bomb & maps, but would love to see something for other symbols. Thank you.
