Thank you for posting the elements that get strong or critical and not just the animals you win with because I don't have a lot of event animals to know what element they are. I'm also on android and I don't get weak strong critical so I am blind to what element is strong unless it hits critical just because the health bar goes way down so thanks again!

Yeah, I find that the Lightning Leopard works for me most of the times, especially on the first rounds, and then when it doesn't I just try other elements.

I wondered why I don't get the strong, weak, neutral messages I am on android also. I just got by the health bar

I've seen ios so I knew when they hit with an element they get its strength and can change if it's weak or neutral where to android every hit is shown neutral which is no indication at all.. makes it harder so appreciate when ios users give the elements strongest against the enemy ;)

Hello Buttercup, yes it does not work well for me in this tournament. I always choose storybook animals, tournament animals and so on and lose 65%. I do not give up but it is no fun when I fight so often against the same animal and it can not win with Ultra Rare, Super Rare animals. :(

My choice would be to use the Epic common first and in the meantime feed up your SR if possible and use it next if you didn't succeed with the common.

Hey Drachenia. I looked at your results and I'm not sure if you're testing elements or not. Since your close to the end and it's a short tournament, I'd go with the selected, most rarest and highest level animal fighters you have, just to make sure you don't miss out on the Rainbow Raven ;) good luck

Do you have a Crystal Unicorn or a gem hybrid? Or you could try your highest level, rarest electric/nature hybrid using the nature element. Hope you can get past it. Good luck.

It just happened to me with the last round. I won against the Rainbow Raven, then few time later I came back into the game and saw again the tournament timer... so not only my victory didn't count but I have to wait 1 hour to repeat the round as if I had lost

I am seeing the battle there will be a lot of animals you might not have ... well you do not need a crystal unicorn CU but of cause having it helps you greatly in some ways....

I did not use this particular method when I am climbing up to mid levels I am level 50 but I do understand the pain you all are going through(I believe everyone does since we all need to start at level 17 lol) I am a player who like designs more than the animals who help me in battles so I tend to level up the animals I like first before the elements that will help me eg I would level up EPIC fire/nature 2 times when my ultra rare UR in storage & I should epic a different elements type but this is your game so if you like to be competitive in battles at level 15 or 17 you can use this method

As you proceed apples is always the main thing to factor your EPIC & storybook tales ... well I would go for storybook since that is like a free UR animal be it in storage or future use when you have a better supply of apples...

You DO NOT NEED CU to win battles you need to learn elements & getting the basic animals first, yes you might think it is impossible because of storybook quest... be it you are doing well with commons or other means... I recommend Super rare SR to battle the lvl20 Crystal/gemstone UR you face in future battle.

If I will to tell you 300K apples is all you need to start off & the require animals to be competitive in battles you might not think it is possible well think again my friends :)

You just need 6 basic elements it is up to you be it fire/water or fire/earth ....pick any 6 hybrids you prefer but I strongly recommend this 3 animals

That's excellent advice haku. I've been playing for almost, not quite two years. And there were so many tournaments I did not win starting out. But leveling up some basic strong element animals like ancient sloth, MAGMACORE and glacial Griffin or blizzard helped a lot. You just need time and patience and some luck in getting animals and you'll soon find yourself in a position to win most tournaments within a year. I'm not one for buying gems. If I do it's for something like a crystal unicorn so I have a shot to breed some hybrids.

I hate that so much, sorry. For the future: if as soon as you win a battle, you then go visit a neighbor, that makes the game contact the server and "locks in" your win.

I've been having a rough time with the last few opponents. >.< This is where not having a full array of leveled-up animals is hurting me. (Thank you for the advice about which animals to concentrate on leveling!) After seven losses to the Tidal Toucan, I gave up and used the Ultimate Attack on it. Now I'm four losses into the Cuckoonut. I anticipate I may need another Ultimate Attack for the Valkyrie. :P I'm willing to spend up to 100 gems on this tournament, since I love ravens so much and I don't have any strong rainbow or dark animals.

I hate that so much, sorry. For the future: if as soon as you win a battle, you then go visit a neighbor, that makes the game contact the server and "locks in" your win.

I've been having a rough time with the last few opponents. >.< This is where not having a full array of leveled-up animals is hurting me. (Thank you for the advice about which animals to concentrate on leveling!) After seven losses to the Tidal Toucan, I gave up and used the Ultimate Attack on it. Now I'm four losses into the Cuckoonut. I anticipate I may need another Ultimate Attack for the Valkyrie. :P I'm willing to spend up to 100 gems on this tournament, since I love ravens so much and I don't have any strong rainbow or dark animals.

I don't understand why that Cuckoonut is so hard to beat- supposedly it's only a rare. But I did finally beat it with my Pandaffodil, after five losses. Only two more to go! I sure hope my Skyger can take down the Valkyrie, because it's my only leveled-up dark animal...

Took me 14 tries and I finally won with lightning. I refuse to use gems for these so it has been very frustrating. I immediately visited a neighbor to avoid not saving my progress. Good luck!

I also changed the strategy from previous tournaments.

You never had to try more than 3 times on any of the animals in the tournament? That is incredibly impressive! Did you use only epic super rares and epic ultra rares?

At last! I won on my eighth try with Wise Eagle. :D :D :D First ever tournament win!

Total battles fought: 53 (!! this presumably would have been much lower if I had more leveled-up animals)
Ultimate Attacks used: 1 (on the Tidal Toucan. Why was there so much water in this tournament? XD)
Total gems spent: 95
Total coins spent in entrance fees: 39,750
Most wins: Tie between Beagle Scout and Wise Eagle - 4 wins each

So this was a very expensive tournament, especially since I don't buy gems with money. Still less than 10% of what the Rainbow Raven costs in the store. And I don't regret the cost, because I really like the animal and the rainbow/dark type is great!

Grr :( I had to work long shifts the first two days of the tournament so I didn't get to play much and then somehow managed to have enough time if I had been able to beat every single round first try but I kept losing to some animals a few times and then got stuck with the Adorabull :( Lost about 5 times *cries* which by the way is hilarious because from what I recall I beat him first try when he was the prize in the tournament. Hmm :/

Hope lots of people were able to beat the raven in time.

You can buy it. Not breedable. The first time it came out last year, it was a reward from a tournament.
