Android members: Please take note

Here are some suggestions from the team if you are having difficulties in applying your animal prize skins. Hope it helps. Please post in Current Bugs and Issues (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?54301-Farm-Story-2-Current-Bugs-and-Issues&p=1360647#post1360647) thread if you are still having issues. Thanks.

For Android users to apply the skin:
1) Go into Edit Mode.
2) Tap the farm animal habitat, e.g. Cow Pasture, Chicken Coop, etc.
3) Tap the newly-earned skin.
4) If the skin does not appear in the menu, force-closing and re-opening the game should fix the issue.

There are 3 kind of bags you can get from turning in a Collection at the Collection Gallery. They are called Vampire Treat Bag, Candy Corn Treat Bag and Pumpkin Treat Bag.

Prize Pumpkin
The Prize Pumpkin will become available in your Market to buy for 9,000 coins for iOS after completing the goal Customed Critters and for Android after completing 1 of the goal Customed Critters.
At the Prize Pumpkin you can turn in your extra Treat Bags. Turn in 1 Bag, wait 10 seconds and then a present appears. Tap on it and you will receive 1 non-animated decoration item and 1 experience.
There are 12 different kind of non-animated decoration items to get from the Prize Pumpkin: 6 lanterns and 6 scarecrows (see header Event Prizes for the names).

I wish there was more variation in the design of the ghost, it's like the white one but with a sticking tongue. Oh, was there ever a bat pet for the haunted house?

Btw, the drop rate seems quite good, I'm getting a corn with every delivery, I saw some in the newspaper and also found easily items while mining.

It's a Luck event, a bit different then the Luck Events we are used too. The Luck is in getting all the amounts of the 3 different kind of bags to get the Sweet Spirit Pet Ghost :) . You may also be able to buy them from the Newspaper, if anyone is selling them. 1 of my friends got Vampire Bags from Stormie.
After above, it's to be Lucky to get all the decoration items from the Prize Pumpkin (if your wish is to have them all :))

Sorry, I haven't seen any messages saying we got a free Treat Trader Boost (flag). The Treat Trader Boost is available for iOS players in our Market but costs 10 gems and will work for 4 hours.

It was probably for iOS only. I think it was "Let your fright flag fly 1/2". We were to place the free boost and also make another cookie. I can't remember what the reward was.
Edit to add: I got this after turning in the first collection. It was on both my level 41 and level 22 farms. Both iOS.
The second part is "Let your Fright Flag Fly (2/2)". It's get another treat trader boost (10 gems in the market) and the reward is 5 gems.

Something new for a change. Looks challenging, lots of things to bake and collect for a luck event. One thing I don't like is requiring silver to make the baits, and the special rock to make rock candy, but when you mine, you get everything except that. If you want to have mining in the challenge I'm fine with it, but they really need to adjust the drop rates. I shouldn't have to mine 10 times just to get 1 piece of silver......in other news I have 20 pieces of iron for sale in my shop.....because that's all that is dropping :mad:

Thanks for replying. I figured it out myself. No the goal said to make baits, make fishies (which required worms) and turn in a set for prizes. No other instructions. And nothing when I clicked on the worm requirement inside the make the fishies button. But once my baits were done, I decided to try one and got the worms. So crafting fishies as I type.

Hi ghjvcucjb. This flag is similar to other flags from The Farmers Market. It reduces the crafting duration by 50% of anything you make in the Treat Trader building for 4 hours while the flag is active. This will help you to make more treats for turning in at the Collection Gallery. Hope this helps. Good luck for your event.

I'm out. I just did the math and I don't have enough mining tools for the 64 pieces of silver and 16 sugar crystals needed to collect the 16 treat bags to get the ghost.

The crystals surprisingly dropped at a pretty decent rate. However the amount of silver needed is a bit much. Even if they reduced the number of worms needed to make the fish to 3, that would still be difficult, but 64 is just a lot of silver. I have 8 tools left and 23 more silver to get.

But I do appreciate that we will be able to trade the bags of candy with others to try to reach thenprizes. That makes it a bit more fun and less frustrating for us. Thank you.

I am wishing to give up too.
I just mined 10 times and I got blue crystals or iron ore. Not a single silver. Before that I bought an ore vein. Lots more iron ore and *1* silver. I am almost out of mining tools now. Have also sent multiple plain deliveries but all I get is corn, corn, and more corn. Mining tools have suddenly become extinct with plain deliveries and of course, no one is selling silver in the market (and I visited multiple farms).
I have found 2 treat bags in the market but that won't give me the ghost (I only have 3 treat bags so far. That will get me far)

I was able to collect enough treat bags (both by turning in collections and purchasing in the shop) for the vampire bunny. He's really cute! The next goal to pop up (iOS) has to do with trading in extra treat bags for decorations.

Don't give up yet!! There is plenty of time left. You will be able to find things in the market. Remember to collect from your pets, campsite and make deliveries to get more mining tools. I've sent you a private message as well. Good luck!

I have to agree. What makes it worse for me is that my mine--which is normally a silver mine (unless I want silver, in which case it becomes an iron mine)--has been giving me an abnormally large quantity of sugar crystals, rubies, and gold...but very little silver. I am even resorting to using the Forge to craft some pickaxes.

I was fortunate enough to get 5 of the pumpkin bags, and crafted 2 bat bags. Unfortunately, I got another candy corn bag from the last collection. I had been hoping to get one of the other two types, so as to lessen how many silver I need to locate, but I guess it can't be helped.

Honestly, I don't mind the long crafting time for the rock candy...I have nothing better to do right now other than craft rock candy because of the poor drop rate of mining tools (getting a lot of saws, though) and the scarcity of silver in the mine (I've been getting a lot of sugar crystals, more's the pity).

I've sold off my bags as a set when I completed it. Someone else had done it for me and I figured I'd keep passing it on. I'm about to release another set and I hope that everyone else keeps passing them on too (after finishing that quest).

Though I do really like the jack-o-lanterns. I couldn't care less about the scarecrows. But I'm only Exchanging a few of my extra bags hoping to get them all.

My Android farm had an issue too with the Cow and Chicken skin. From tapping on the skin threw my cellar to drag it on the animals, I got a Oops mssg :rolleyes: and from the Edit Mode of the animal habitat the skin was not showing.
After 1-1,5 day I saw it showed up in the Edit Mode of the animal habitat and I was able to apply it.

My Android farm had an issue too with the Cow and Chicken skin. From tapping on the skin threw my cellar to drag it on the animals, I got a Oops mssg :rolleyes: and from the Edit Mode of the animal habitat the skin was not showing.
After 1-1,5 day I saw it showed up in the Edit Mode of the animal habitat and I was able to apply it.

Did you check the candy tab in your collections gallery.
That is where the candy you make is stored.

Which goal are you at? Are you referring to the Custom Critters goal? Can you turn in a collection and see if it registers your treat bag? That goal doesn't register candy crafts of the Treat Trader, only Treat bag.

Edit to add: count the number of Treat bags currently in your barn to tally with your goal.

Hi Lydiahin,

To get the skins for your animals, it's about the Treat Bags, not the candies you are making at Treat Trader.

To get the Cow Skin you have to get a total of 4 Candy Corn Treat Bags at the Collection Gallery or from buying them from the Newspaper/Stormie/Neighbors Shop. Only difference is that Android players have to give them up to the goal.

To get the Chicken Skin you have to get a total of 7 Pumpkin Treat Bags at the Collection Gallery or from buying them from the Newspaper/Stormie/Neighbors Shop. Only difference is that Android players have to give them up to the goal.

Yes, the treat bags are random. It is possible to receive more than the required number of one bag and none of another bag.

Yes, 1 of each candy = a Collection you can turn in at the Collection Gallery = 1 random Treat Bag in return.
Also keep an eye on the Newspaper and farmers Shop. Farmers are selling Bags to help out others.

Look in your Market at Animals All. Scroll a bit down and you will see a habitat called Bunny Burrow and a habitat called Rabbit Burrow. Both cost 2,200 coins each. Difference is that the Rabbit Burrow can be locked for you to buy, depending on your level and the Bunny Burrow has brighter flowers. 1 of these habitat you can choose to put your bunny out.

I needed 2 pumpkin bags to get my ghost. Stormy was selling them so I got my bags and thus my ghost. I think the white ghost was cuter though. I wanted the white one from the spin wheel : /

I have been selling off bags, 1 at a time to try to help as many as possible. I have also been selling worms and silver..usually in bunches of 4 to ensure 1 treat bag (hopefully the needed ones).

Overall though I am finding worms more frequently in the market so things should be getting easier for people.

Side note: pretty pointless to waste gems to speed up treat maker. Takes 8 hrs to get 4 worms so I think 8 hrs is plenty of time craft everything. I also made the 4 hr ones during sleeping hours so even faster then

I'm just now crafting my second gummy fish ever since the supplies needed are nearly impossible to acquire. I've spent money on this game before to help myself a little bit along on events, but I'm not about to drop the insane amount it would cost to complete THIS event. If some adjustments aren't made to make it more reasonable to complete, I'm not going to be spending a dime with Storm8 in the future.

Hey everyone, I just noticed that for me, Stormy has a bat bag for sale! That's the one needed toward the vampire bunny pet (sorry if I'm repeating anything that was already said by someone else). If anyone needs that type of treat bag, buy it from Stormy in the newspaper, then quickly click on "visit farm," and sometimes there will be a second one still for sale in Stormy's shop once you go visit. It doesn't work (at least for me) if you go through the friends/neighbors list, only through the newspaper, then clicking on the orange visit button immediately after you've bought the first item through the newspaper.

I finally gave up on this quest. There were never and still no treatbags on the market or for sale at my friends. It takes way too much trouble to make 1 gummy bear. I too, never got any silver in the mine and am out of tools and no tools drop with the deliveries, also never have received a gold cow bell. Frustrating... they want us to keep playing (and spending money) it needs to be a bit more realistic to achieve goals.

I don't mind spending a little money on a quest, but not when there is no guarantee of actually completing the quest. I have not seen a single bag or gummy worm in the market, so I think I am going to have to cut my losses, admit defeat and sell off the bags I have. Disappointing, but I refuse to put more money into this quest on the unlikely chance of getting the final bag I need.

This too is the worst event for me. Any event really where luck is involved isn't worth the trouble.
I had between 35-40 mining tools each so nearly 80 in total and they are all gone and still it wasn't enough to
Win the ghost, luckily I have already 2 white ghost and it is not really something I really want but still.
Impossible to complete for a lot of players. Next time I am not even going to bother with it.
O and the 80 mining tools I had before start so not even including the once you get for watching videos and sending deliveries and feeding pets etc.

The 4 webbed fences that i won during the event disappeared from my farm, and are not in my cellar either. Where they only temporary?
My spiderweb path tiles are still there...
