Really happy that they brought these 3 back. I'm trying for the Deadwing. I was able to breed the Skeletal Steed and the Sugarskull Glider when this trio was released but couldn't breed the 3rd animal. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time around.. Good luck all.

I tried Cactus Kitsune/Torch Bearer, then switched to Flyer Fox/Torch Bearer. Lastly I tried Cactus Kitsune/Flyer Fox and got 16 hours first try! I think I must have tried about 30 times but the Skeletal Steed is too lovely to pass up. I think I will stop there, however, to continue trying for the beautiful Peridot. It is nice of TL to give players over 2 weeks to attempt the trio. Good luck everyone going for the Deadwing!

I bred earth/fire with dark/nature and got 13 hrs... it could be a lot of things, but I'm holding out hope for a Sugar Glider!

Edit: It turned out to be a Dream Bat. Well, I didn't have one of those yet, so that's nice... Next breeding was a Fairy Ferret. Still lots of time to try.

Yay finally got this beauty after a lot of fails. Glad They made it breedable for a while again :D

Now going to try for Sugar Glider and Pumpkin Panda.
Not a fan of the Deadwing so I'll pass on that one and use that time to hatch an egg or two from my storage.

I just got a 16-hour timer from Fairy Ferret x Fallaby! I'm so excited- I think the Skeletal Steed is gorgeous. :) After trying so hard for Wagrid and not getting it, this makes me feel so much better!

Try using different animals to bread those two elements. I have been using the basic 1 element common ones (Pandoffodil, Pyro pony and Rock Rhino) I have noticed basic 1 element ones work best when trying to breed for a specific rare or limited edition animal.

Try using different animals to bread those two elements. I have been using the basic 1 element common ones (Pandoffodil, Pyro pony and Rock Rhino) I have noticed basic 1 element ones work best when trying to breed for a specific rare or limited edition animal.

I've tried everything. I've tried to breed the same two animals all day, I've tried to breed different animals the next day, I've tried Ultra rares, I've tried commons. And now I have 23 ferrets, 2 fallaby, and one ferret and one fallaby to go...

Keep trying with the common 1 element ones. It took me a while to get the seed with that combo but still got it.

My nightmares continue since March of 2015 where I can't breed the Deadwing. My original post back in 2015...

Nothing but back to back Ferry Ferrets for the last 2 weeks. Not very happy. I really dont think my forest will ever see the Deadwing Skull. Nor did my forest see the Matripony or any other 3rd animal in a trio, the exception being the cosmic and music trio.
Then again I bred these really late in the event.

Ive been breeding both my Epic Sugarskull Glider and Epic Skeletal Steed since the rerelease of the return of the Dead Animals and nothing but Fairy Ferrets, Fairy Ferrets and more Fairy Ferrets. I'm totally disappointed.

Is the only way you can get a Deadwing by breeding the first two? All I am getting are the notorious three hour timers and it's messing with my Leader board score in overnights.

Those ferrets are the bane of my leaderboard experience. Not only because they have a short timer, either. They're also common so we don't get any kind of bonus for the breed and hatch. It all adds up. I believe there was a similar repeat animal offering with a ferret fail during the last leaderboard as well. It does work in favor of those who already have the animal.

Just put my Quartz and Glacial Griffin in the breeding den hoping for either a Sugarskull Glider, a Seamur, which we need for the Scorpio zodiac, or a gem hybrid that I do not have. I am so glad I got these last year as it sounds like you guys are having a terrible time. Iv bread maybe 3 or 4 of the steads by accident while trying for other things, Shame I can't give them to you guys! Has anyone got the deadwing yet?

From a quick scan it looks like a few people were lucky enough to hatch a deadwing. I myself am one of those lucky few, but only on my 2nd account. My son and I have steeds but no glider and with the Scorpio requiring a Seamur I'm not sure we'll score the trio this go around.

I'm lucky cause I have a Seamur in storage. Once I've got that out of the way I will I will carry on for the steed.

My wittow deadwing is stomping about the newly finished Day of the Dead habitat and I couldn't be more proud.

I bought the habitat a year ago and never had a single one of the creatures. After a month or two I reluctantly sold it since it only holds the Dead animals. A few months ago I won a glider in a spin to win or something.... after awhile I bought another Dead habitat cause it's a worthy decoration. But I sold it again. This third one will stay housing all three animals! Because all the Dead animals have two elements and this is a coin habitat that only holds three animals I still can see myself selling it once again temporarily if I desperately need room for a limited gem habitat.

I apologize but I'll say it again: my wish list to be included in an update is for all of the coin trio habitats to be modified to accommodate a second element as well as a 4th animal.

So excited! Saw my timer, calmly went to battle a round in the tournament, double checked timer, mined a few runes, collected coins from habitats, triple checked timer, visited a neighbour and check timer yet again... 22 hours!!!!! Keep trying friends, don't give up! Good Luck!!

That's terrible I hope you get it soon, you have to hatch a fairy ferret in ch. 9 of storybook .. Not sure if you have to feed one yet, but you may want to save one just in case ;)

Thanks and I hope I get the Deadwing too. I'd have thought I'd gotten it by now. I don't keep a record of breeding attempts but I've constantly breed the same Sugarskull Glider and Skeletal Steed since the re release and nothing but a frustrated breeder here. I haven't even started the story book due to so many things to do in the game so hopefully I can breed a Fairy Ferrets when I need it.

FINALLY!! After 23 Fairy Ferrets, 2 Fallaby, 2 Paradise Parrots, 1 Flyerfox, 1 Jackalope and 3 Solar Simians this morning I was looking for combinations I hadn't tried yet and bred my lvl 5 Fallaby with my Epic level Pyro Pony and got the 16 hour timer for Skeletal Steed! I can't lie when I say I might have almost come to tears lol Keep hope alive guys it can still happen as long as you still got time!

Still nothing :( I really don't think I'll ever get the Deadwing. Constantly breeding now and when they were originally released. Thanks for all the support everyone and congrats to those who bred the Deadwing :) .

Well, after 55 or 56 ferrets, and 15 other fire/nature animals, I've got nothing. NOTHING. I've tried all this time only for the Steed. I've bred almost 60 ferrets, and the game decided that I'm not worthy.
Last two days I've tried for the Zodiac Scorpio. And guess what? NOTHING!
I mean, c'mon, how is this possible???

Just about the same here, but in trying for Deadwing. The steed wasn't too hard for me but that dragon... Spent a bunch of gems speeding things along and only took a break when trying for the scorpio, which I thankfully got quickly. Otherwise, I have been breeding for the pumpkin panda and then Deadwing for what feels like ages. Pretty bummed, but I feel badly for the folk having so much trouble with the steed, let alone the dragon. So good luck to everyone giving it that last go before they are gone until next Halloween (or so)!

Wanted Deadwing so much - but i wasn't able to bred the Skeletal Steed - was breeding fire and nature in all combinations since start of this feature - but nothing - Fairy Ferrets over Fairy Ferrets. I was even hoping for a Paradise Parrot - the only nature/fire animal i don't have - but again nothing - all 6 hour timers Solar Sinians. That was very frustrating - and i decided to purchase the Skeletal Steed shortly before ending of its sell. Maybe i will get another chance to get the Deadwing...

They are wanted enough that they are sure to be offered again, even if you have to wait a year. Don't give up hope.

The Skeletal Steed is so beautiful. It's the best one, and you have it!

Thank you saucysammis for your kind answer. Yes, the Skeletal Steed is so beautiful and i am very happy to have it in my forest. Now i'm hoping to get Deadwing - maybe next year...
