Given the time of month, and that there are counters, tables & chairs, walls, tiles and decor, I'm guessing it's goals, just without the food visible. I'm also guessing some of it is extra gem decor, since there's so much.

:( I actually hope these aren't the goals. Not that the items are bad in any way; they're just not exciting to me personally. I also think it's a little uncreative that NYC and SF both got picnics as a 4x4 display. Like, they really couldn't think of anything a little more unique to each city? :confused:

Nevertheless, I am also intrigued by the appearance of the bespectacled blue-haired girlie. I like Phoebe enough, but I love getting single standalone characters to put around the restaurant scene. They can really add to the ambience, and are useful to feature in story plots :)

I rather like the cross-promotion between games with her inclusion :) I wonder if this is something we'll see more of in the future. It would be cool to have a crossover with another S8 title and add some variety.

I like SF and the update looks cute enough. Not as representative, so it appears, of the various tourist attractions in SF as was done when Bakery got its SF update.

It's probably just an update since they don't put out goals in RS and BS at the same time anymore. It'll probably cost a ton of gems too. We need fall stuff!! I'm really not happy with the way these games are being run. Let's step it up Storm8, you're going to lose a good thing!

I have the fall wagon from this crate, but will have to try at least a couple more times--even if I don't get the harvest stand (which I won't), I like the jam stand a lot and even the veggie stand will help with my farmers' market.

Rest of the sale seems pretty good. I feel bad there's no cider bar for those who weren't playing last time it was available, but there's other good stuff. I have the piano and garden already, but not the owl tree. I'll probably get that. The picnic is nice, but I have so much autumn stuff I don't feel the need to buy another 50+gem piece.

And of course my fave SF update stuff was the gem stuff! Still getting the girl, but forgoing the stand in favor of box-buying. Since it isn't goals, then yay S8! Love the complete update! (I'll never do a full SF theme, so don't mind that they missed a lot of what others wish they'd included.)

PS: and as I was typing, pcabral did us all a favor. Thank you as always pcabral! If there were a helpful player of the month plaque hanging on the forum wall, your avatar would be there smiling every time!

Regarding the 21 day re-released items, none of these items were available to me previously. If I purchase e.g. a floor tile, will I be able to buy more of the same tiles after the 21 days?

Or do I have to buy all that I want during the re-release period i.e. the items will disappear when the 21 days have passed?

If you're android, you must buy ALL the tiles/walls/chairs etc. that you want during the 21 days. The sale items will then disappear. Which kind of sucks if you later expand and can't match your floors, but that's how it goes.

If you're ios (and I'm not, so someone else might want to chime in), I think you may be able to buy more tiles later, as long as you've purchased at least one before the 21 days are up. There is, or at least was, a system quirk that allowed ios players to do that. Not sure if it also applies to walls?

This is a very good point because I am an iOS user and even if I buy sale items from the past once the 21 days is up I cannot buy anymore . Also two spoons You might know the answer to this one of my neighbors is I believe in Germany and doesn't even speak English 😊 And I tried to translate the message that he sent to me and I believe he is not not seeing any of these updates . If he is an android user can I point him in the direction of an app at the Google store ? Or if he has an iPhone user do you think people in Europe can see the exact same updates ? Thanks in advance

I think I'm not buying boxes again until Christmas, that's if I like the prizes and it's half price.

Sometimes I wish they would put the old seasonal boxed items outside because of the amount of tries it takes to get the one you want even if it isn't a first place prize.

If I see the 2011-2012 Christmas boxes on sale I will take a plunge as I really want the gingerbread express which is my favorite #2 from that box and the castle, already own several of the rest.

I think I should have bought the autumn picnic and that piano instead of gambling on boxes, LOL! :)

They're both 1st place prizes in boxes, that's probably why their prices are the same. And the autumn party and piano are 2nd place prizes. Still can't decide, 56gems is a bit much to spend on a single piece. Wondering if it would be better to get a couple of cheaper items from the sale, hmm..
