thanks for EVERYONE's suggestions, tried Air and Playful mine failed (but mine was a lower level one and didn't quite follow the direction for Playful since it was super early in the morning and I've totally missed look at the rest of the comment) and didn't have Ghost Armor, Jack, and Metal (would love one, seeing all the rave with this one) and didn't get to try out my low level Landworm, since my level 10 Apprentice took care of it with magic.

Apprentice usually takes me by surprise since he tend to do the trick when I get stuck on certain rounds. This fellow have strong magic.

Wasn't stuck on this round for too long surprisingly...usually would be stuck for majority of the day and sometimes two. Maybe going far in the rounds in the beginning of the tourney makes it easier like someone mention in another tourney thread...interesting theory to test out again.

Grow your Metal at 15 (or use it if it is already 15), use bash-bash-magic sequence and the tournaments will be smooth @ champions (lvl 15,20,25 usually) :)

One thing that I always do as soon as I'm finished a difficult or high round battle: visit your Arctic Isle (or a neighbor/community member) immediately!! It will save your current progress so you shouldn't have any jump-back/do-over glitches.

Be careful using the mine after a battle, you are better off visiting ons a neighbor quickly. It's not necessary to do anything, just move to another island ir the Arctic then come back. Tbh, I never did have any reset problem...maybe just once when the game started to reload again with the updates (luckily it was on a easy dragon); but hearing all these people having to repeat on a hard round got me cautious. And yup, learn something new everyday, would try to remember to do that next tourney. Cuz BAM! This player just won the Flourescent Dragon~

2nd tourney won w/o the need of gold (but it's not one of those tourney with the dragon I really care much for like champions); but this one indeed was the quickest to finish, wasn't stuck on champ rounds for too long unlike previous tourneys (probably b/c it happened right on my days off).

Your best odds are with Mech (level 14-15) at 55%

Many other dragons have a 45% chance at level 14-15 including all Champs and some of the recent prize dragons from events & tourneys. Hope you find a winner soon :D

I always use Forest against zodiacs, if he doesn't do the job Fire usually can ;)
And don't forget to tickle those big bullies every now and then, bash-bash-bash with a baby dragon (Fire, Forest or any unwanted breed), and they might laugh until they faint :D

Forest finished the tournament with two bashes, egg is on the nest. :)
Air, again, was undefeatable against the champs. I really love my level 15 common single color dragons :)

The way their system is tougher on high level players is unfair. It should not take me 8 battles to beat a L16 Soccer using all L14 and 15 talent.

I had a lower acct that is 20 levels below this one and no problems at all compared to this higher acct.

The way their system is tougher on high level players is unfair. It should not take me 8 battles to beat a L16 Soccer using all L14 and 15 talent.

I had a lower acct that is 20 levels below this one and no problems at all compared to this higher acct.

Try using Night Elf if you have it. Single types are best against champions.

Same for me. 7 of those tries were with diamond. Each tournament follows the same pattern for me....breeze through to rd 20 with only a few losses, battle 20 for up to two days, get to rd 25...sometimes i beat it, sometimes i don't. Only used gol d on the two champion prize tournaments. I cringe when i see a tourney, don't really enjoy them

Well that is randomized odds/ luck sorry to say.

How I know that is of course the game is based on a randomizing program...plus the other account of mine won in a single with the exact same dragon I had tried 3 times with on my account, same one.

I really do think they have a difficulty level programmed in based on the level you are as a player. How else could you explain me getting those silly dragon step thingies so many times in during the wheel game? The odds of hitting the same exact thing on the wheel in a limited number of times is super super rare.

They use a graduated randomizer in their game programming, no question about it.

This tournament was a total breeze for me! Nobody except for the Sugar Skull and Koi dragons really gave me any trouble- everyone dropped like flies against my level 14 Warrior Queen and level 12 Steelflare!

I was going to reuse any of these fails Stalwart 14, Glasswing 8, Guardian Angel 7, Sweet Tooth 9 before Supreme 10 did the job. If he hadn't of worked I was going to use Dark Chrystal 7 or Adventure 12, I hope one of them helps! Good luck!

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days. RL was hectic.


I got to 18th battle basically only with Fire 11 and Forest 10. Only in one case I used Air 9. I don't remember with what dragon but it was a red,green one. and only using Bash. No magic until now.

Due to tales I tried Curio 8 on the 18th (suggested by somebody here - a higher level Curio but still) and I got lucky - it was KO.
Koi went down with Air 9 - bB
Battlecaster lost against Fire 11 bBb but won against Air 9

I hope not to have so many problems today since tomorrow I will travel and I don't know how much time I'll have to battle.

Similar thing is happening to me with Cancer, have beat it twice but keeps coming back. This last time I lost so now have the heal and go again.

I win by Air Dragon (10) just one hit (B). Recently, I prefer used single color dragon on tournament.
Look like more effect than several color dragon. (Just my imagine) :)

I really should have been posting in here. I took a two year break from the game so I have mostly older dragons and my max dragons are level 10, so none of the newer ones for me, my "old guy" will have to get the job done.

I can't remember all of them, but I know that my Aether (10) has been really effective and my Landworm (10) has gotten the job done. My Infinity (10) took down Berserker with one blast.

As it turns out, Rainbow Sentinel was indisposed, having lost a previous round. Glasswing to the rescue, at level 8 took out the last two rounds.

Really wonder if there's a difference in strength between Champions. In some earlier tournaments I was stuck on one for over 20 rounds, while others went down first try. This time it's the same, level 19 Battlecaster took me 15 tries while level 20 Shaman went down at the first bash. Is it just pure luck?

Soccer at level 15+ is almost as bad as a Champion. At level 16, there's only a 10-15% chance of beating him with any dragon in the game. It's going to be random luck that takes him down. But he will go down! You can do it!
All ultra and super rare dragons level 9 and above have a 15% chance of beating Soccer16, so keep chucking super rares at him! You'll get him! That ugly sucker is just begging for a beat down, and your dragons are going to hand it out!

Nah had tried force closing a few times didn't work, but I have now beat it again and was third time luck, I've now moved onto Sugar Skull.
My Lvl 15 Bronzetalon lost, so gonna try Duchess and Dark Pheonix next, though they are only Lvl 7s.

I'm done a day early (a personal record for me although I think I finished the last one a day early lol) and flourescent in storage waiting to be hatched! This tournament didn't go too bad, Shaman was the only dragon that took me the longest to beat (I spent a full day on it). No gold was spent and I'm completely satisfied and glad I didn't have a super tough time. I like this dragon, it looks cool :) Full results on page 2, post #15! (I don't know how to post links here, will learn one day lol)

This was explained many times, big letter means that it took a lot damage to enemy dragon. If only letter - that was KO (one hit win)
So, bbM means first two bashes took a little of enemy energy, and last M finished it. bB means first bash enemy lost little energy and second bash finished it. Bbb means first hit took lots of enemy energy but it needed two more hit to took it down :)

I have no idea what to even try, my Air (9) was pulled from the stable and won level 28 but got crushed at 29. Cutting it close without using gold at this point. I'm going to battle until the very end and then I'll have to ultimate attack if nothing works out.

Thanks to a late night wake up from my baby I have managed to finish the tournament without having to make sure I was up in time in the morning. Glasswing took out the last two dragons -so thanks to the posters for the heads up on that one.

Hey, do you have a Lunar Rainbow, Hidden Gem, Topaz, Amethyst, Dark Crystal, Metal, Award or Cursed Idol? If you have any dragon I mentioned above, then try it. Good luck, I hope you get it soon. :)

Try anything with Rainbow, Metal or Gemstone.

Failing that, try any Level 13s or 14s from recent Tales.

Yes the colors are rainbow and blue. So purple yellow rainbow would be good choices. I notice you have rainbow, nouveau and another rainbow type. Idk what that one is. Also perhaps a purple yellow hybrid like trickster. If u have any that would have gemstone or metal in them? Plus I will post on your wall! Good luck. Try to see which one does the most damage and if possible u may want to try again with that one after healed.

I just checked the charts and good dragons to use against Fluorescent are purple/yellow super rares. Those have a 35% chance of winning (which is the same chance as Champions). In the 25% bracket are pink/purple super rares, yellow/green super rares, some Gemstone types, but not all (good ones: Amethyst, Birthstone, Crystal, Hidden Gem, Supreme, Topaz), and purple/yellow rares. Adventure and Ranger also have a 25% chance of winning. Good luck!

To my surprise, I've finished this without having much time to play, most dragons went down easily, none of them posed any problem for my LV15 Prime Eternal, I sure hope future tournaments are easy like this one!

I really wanted this one but I can't get past Battlecaster and my line for the spa is pretty lengthy now. And I can't get past Chapter 1 in Tales until I can win 2 battles. Good thing the tournament is almost over and the first chapters aren't too difficult. Congrats to all who finished the tournament and good luck to anyone still battling!

Battles 20 and 25 were ridiculous. Spent two days on Round 20, before finally winning with Diamond 15. Spent a day and a half battling against round 25 before spending 30 gold on Ultimate.

The other battles were within the expected wins and losses from percentages in the Battle Calculator. Nothing else took more than 2-3 tries from level 15 Diamond or Champion types.

I have the egg in storage...

Phew! Just made it with 34 minutes left on the clock. I got distracted earlier and lost track of time, so I had to spend 4 gold to speed up the Islander battle. Not a bad price for a pretty new dragon. :) The egg for this one is beautiful!
