Is it possible there are new recipes on existing appliances? All my ovens are tied up or I'd look myself.

The travel treasures/adventure theme is an interesting interpretation of our requests for more global focus.

I may possibly be one of those people, dragon wished.

but really, i have every prize but one of the 2nd places. i know it's gonna cost me, but i'm getting that darn s****shot. i've wanted it forever.

and i'm okay with the update. it's good to get some stuff to go with the under-done egyptian goals from whenever that was, and buddha fits in with a lot of the asian stuff. we don't have as much thai as chinese & japanese, but i'm sure people can make it work. they also work with art museum stuff or if you just do a straight up "gold" theme.

The decor items are unusually beautiful, but incorporating them into an existing decor will be a challenge, because we do not have any coordinating items to go along. I agree with previous comments that it would be great to have appliances to accompany these items ... and even offer us a related historical treasures goal? 😊

Lower players would be glad if there is no recipes or appliances this week because there are loads in the section but they are lucky as they get more gems :(

I'm new enough to this game that I've not been around for an update so this pop up is real confusing, I thought it was a new quest/event thing maybe a bit like the other "story" games have going on right now.

Is that thing they show, then point at in the shop going to actually send my customers somewhere on a trip to bring stuff back or is it for making the place look cool? I'm not complaining if it's only decoration, it's all nice looking! I just really don't understand based off the wording if it's an event or decoration only, sorry.

On this occasion it's just a collection of new decorations.

Every Wednesday there's an update, with one each month including a set of goals which involve purchasing the items along the way. At the moment the goals tend to be on the third Wednesday of the month, although this can vary.

Otherwise everything is just there to beautify your restaurant. :)

Thank you so much! I'll skip buying it, just wasn't sure if I had to buy it to spark an event off. That's awesome about new decor each week and then a monthly goal too. :)

Sorry the prizes we win are random, odds are tough on 2nd place (10%) and 1st place (1%) prizes. The 3rd and 4th place are more easily won prizes. I myself have like you bought a box numerous times and gotten a bunch of the same prizes before I won a 1st or 2nd place prize I wanted :(

Well, I spent all my Google surveys money, plus some actual cash, and got almost entirely lemonade stands. Seriously, I got one clown trashcan, and then 10 lemonade stands. I know the results of every box buy are independent, and your chances of any single prize neither increase nor decrease depending on previous draws, but that still doesn't feel statistically random. That feels like malice. What did I ever do to you, s8?

So it's less than an hour until update, and I'm down to 2 gems. But on my last purchase, I got a clown, and not another lemonade stand, so maybe my luck's changing. So I think, maybe just a few more tries, and go to purchase 50 gems. And then tell myself to stop being stupid and back out of it. And then 5 minutes later think "aw, screw it" and buy the gems. And on my 2nd use of my shiny new gems:

No joke, no exaggeration, I gasped so hard I started hyperventilating. And then found myself so ridiculous that I laughed like a hyena for five minutes. It was totally worth the cash just to be so thrilled, even if it's by something so silly.

Totally agree! It would be so nice to have a goal, or other way, to get enough similar decor to use these beautiful new items. I bought a few of each, but don't have enough of a complete 'similar theme' to be able to use any of them. Bummer!
