How to Play?

2. Craft supplies to help Piper get ready for Adventure Camp
3. Complete quests to win the brand new Bear Cub pet
4. Use camping coins in the prize machine to win 19 different prizes. Get the bonus campsite for collecting all 19!

Goals
You need to complete the 7 goals to get the bear cub. The bear goes into the wildlife den habitat. The prize machine is running along with this goal and there you can win a campsite bonus prize. The campsite drops gems, shovels, upgrade tools and expansion parts. Read below for a list or click on the magnifying glass next to the gumball machine to see what you can win. Some of the prizes help along the way with the goals for the bear.

Goal 1 of 7
buy 4 campfires
collect 4 matches from deliveries
collect 4 toasted marshmallows
REWARDS: 130 coins, 1 token for prize machine (camping coin), 30 XP

(after campfires burn down; 15 minute timer). Once they burn down, you can relight the same campfires. You will get either a toasted marshmallow (common from coin campfires) or a s'more (rare from coin campfires). Use these to make merit badges in goal 2

Looks like the marshmallows are just to be collected to finish step 1 of 7. Reward is 130 coins 30 experience and 1 camping coin.

In step 2 marshmallows are used to make merit badges in the kitchen. Takes 1 marshmallow to make 1 merit badge and then merit badges are used to make oatmeal cookies in the bakery. Takes 2 badges, 2 flour and 2 eggs to make 1 oatmeal cookie. Will need to make 9 and then give them away.

Did you wait the 15 minutes after lighting the campfire? I assume you will need to swing the bucket over the campfires once the 15 minutes are up to collect.

When the flame is done at the money campfire (when u light it up, it takes 15 minutes of the flame to go off), you can collect from it and you can get a Toasted Marshmallow or a S'mores.

Do NOT collect from your fires if your barn is full. I didn't realize mine was, and rather than it either going over the limit, or giving you the can't collect warning, the item just disappears into the nothing. I lost a s'more and two marshmelllows while quick tapping as a result of this.

No, you should have an option to buy the campfire for coins. Are you level 10? Did you try rebooting?

Thanks! What a shame, I just bought the campfires thinking that I need them for coins to start appearing, that's 6k coins lost as I don't plan to go for the cub, need a rest from pet events. Hi Jed,
You have to close your game and start it again for you to be able to see the Campsite in your cellar. It's 1 decoration item which will take 3X3 spaces on your farm. It has a timer on it so we can collect from it when the timer is done.

Deliveries can be hard to make at lower levels. Often, it is better to cancel an order and wait for a new one to come than to try to craft for it. You can often get more deliveries done this way. Good luck!

The events are difficult at all levels for those who don't spend money to buy gems. It's just a different level of difficulty. Play the event the best you can, but don't get too hung up on winning. Then, if you are able to complete it, you get a great surprise instead of being disappointed when you can't finish. The events are great for making money and earning points to level up, though.

You can but it's not a guarantee. I would not recommend spending 140 gems on one in the hope of getting coins. Especially when you can buy one coin for 19 gems without the risk.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't the "Make" task counting?
The "Make" task counts when you click to make the required craft at the machine, it doesnt count when you collect the craft.
If you start making before you get the goal, the crafts already in the machine crafting queue will not be counted. Check that you are making the correct craft.

Check to see that you have completed all the required tasks in the current goal. You may need to scroll down to see the tasks at the bottom if they dont fit in one page.

You will not get the next goal if you have not reached the required level for it. Check your Goal List to ensure that you have completed your current goal.

I decided to try the fishing pond again this morning and used another 20 lures. The first as a second golden lure and received 10 bass, the other 19 lures gave various other fish. So far I have used 40-45 lures on the fishing spot and received zero camping coins.

If turning in the coins for this machine is like past events you will need more than 19 coins to get the camp site. On a previous event it took 20 spins to obtain the last item that I needed from the machine. If that is the case this time I will need 80-100 coins for get the 19 items available in this event. Can anyone tell me how many coins they used to get the camp site, if they remember?

I used one bronze cowbell to speed up the bakery. I also reviewed all the items that were needed for the other tasks. Step 4 requires apple cider so at step 3 I was making or buying all the cider that I needed. I happen to have 12 sheep so I kept them feed and collected whenever I could for the hats, pants and jacket. While items were crafting I would hit the mine and look for silver, flint and iron ore. For myself I found more flint in the mine before I made it to step 6 where it was required then after step 6. I made the granola bars early so when I made it to step 7 I didn't have to wait to craft the boxes of chocolates and raisins. Along with this I bought the 4 campfires and the deluxe campfire. Plus I spent a long of time with the newspaper opened and bought all the matches, toasted marshmallows, badges and flint that I could find. Since I found almost all the toasted marshmallows in the newspaper I mainly kept the deluxe campfire lit. Just try and keep your craft shops running whenever you are not playing.

At your Market you can find boost flags for a few buildings. You can buy these with cows bells, which you can get from completing all the orders at the Farmers Market. The flags will reduce your crafting time by 50%.

Yep, I got all 4 campfires thinking that perhaps I need to participate in the bear cub event to get the camp coins to appear BUT others have told me that these are two separate event. Worst is that I still don't get any camp coins despite mining, fishing and doing deliveries non-stop. So in the end, I wasted 6000 coins which is a lot for me cause I'm currently trying to save for a new building and I don't want the cub, last 2 events really tired me out but the campsite looks nice and I was willing to work to get it :(

I did go back to the fishing pond and used another 12 lures, mostly dough bait, and still no camping coins. After getting the cub it took 30 plane deliveries before I received one camping coin. I received most of the coins from mining but I don't want to use up all the mining tools. Hopefully one of the moderators will get an answer from the team tomorrow and fix the horrible drop rate on the coins.

For those working on getting the cub once you turn in the last item matches will no longer drop from the plane deliveries. Right now I am using up the last of my matches to make s'mores.

Thanks for this information. I'm sorry about this because I like to see the burning fires on my farm. They look cosy! I'm also wondering if coins have stopped because I got the bear. I haven't received a coin rom a delivery all day. I hope this can be checked tomorrow as well. I wonder if I'm wasting my time?

I for one am sorry all these things stop when goals are done. I'd like to keep crafting and selling to help others. It seems like this would build a better community spirit. It doesn't hurt anyone to let the matches keep dropping, as they are not replacing the normal drops, but are in addition to them.

I'm currently working on the s'more cupcakes, but I'm making ingredients and gathering what I need for later steps to be ready for those. I'm really glad to know what is coming, especially with the attitudes the animals often develop.

Apparently the sheep have not forgotten all the shearing from a couple of recent events because when I approached their pens with the clippers, they gave me a look. I showed them the new camping outfits they can wear, but when I left (with the fleeces), they were checking their contracts. Here we go again.

For the first time in ages, I opted to spend money--bought the pack to get the campfire, coins and merit badges as that was better than being too low on gems from buying the campfire, and I'm glad I did since I'm getting few coins elsewhere. I'm portioning out the coins in the machine hoping that will help stop duplicates.

I got the bear and now I'm not getting any camping coins. I've done a tone of plane deliveries and mining and no luck....should I have not completed the quest yet? I see some people have found the coins fishing but I haven't had any luck there yet for the entire event.

Hey mearro. The camp coins drop is independent of whether you do the goals. It shouldnt matter whether you arent or are doing the goals. I am doing the goals and have no luck in getting camp coin other than the ones I got from completing the goals. If you are still not getting any camp coins, perhaps you may like to consider doing the goals, at least the first few easy ones to get the camp coin even if you arent going for the bear cub. Just a thought.

Is there a way to keep the campfire burning after the event?

I built four buttons in the studio, but they had to wait in line while other items were built. Later, when I cleared out the items that were made, there were still three buttons in the queue but the fourth button was missing, not in inventory or anywhere else. I closed the game several times but the button did not show up.
Since starting this event I've had numerous problems with items missing after being made, but they reappeared after I closed out of the game and re-opened. The missing button is the first item that hasn't reappeared. So now i have to use up more saws to cut more trees and use more time waiting for the button to be made. I hope the management fixes this problem soon!

Got my baby bear, yay! I dont think I've ever finished one of these goal chains so quickly before. Having the supplies like cider and granola bars ahead of time really helped. So did having 2 studios...that was the major change from previous events for me.

I'm in the same boat as others now with no coins. Need 5 more prizes to get the campsite. Hope I can find them somewhere.

Well came home from work and thought I would relax so I took my rod and reel down to the fishing pond, where the pond and I have been having a battle of wills this event. Dropped in another 10 lures and they all came back with fish. I do believe that I saw the chickens cheerleading for the opposition. I will have to ask for a copy of the contract that ladyfencer is using for their chickens. The current score stands thus:

I'm just an average player, level 33, with only 1 studio and 4 sheep. I looked at the steps and considered another studio or more sheep but I think I can make it without that. Some of the past events have been nearly impossible for me, but I believe this event can be done by most players unless one has terrible luck in the mine.

I just finished step 4 in about 8 hours, but it can be done in just 6 hours if one has the apple cider ready like mentioned above (I didn't). I am now working on my ingredients for the granola bars for step 7, while my carabiners craft in step 5. I'll craft my hiking pants overnight and into the next day. Having the granola bars ready to go, as kindefarm mentioned above, looks to be the One key itemwhere you can fall behind in the very last step and not get the bear.
My main issue is having the barn space for all the items I get ready ahead of time

When I get done with a step I try to continue making previous items to help others, so now I'm making more cider. Eventually I'll make more granola bar ingredients.

Yes. I thought, oh no, sheep rustlers on top of everything else? I restarted the game and the missing sheep reappeared. The rustler must have put it back quickly after finding out how badly behaved they are!

The collection time is 22 hrs. Works like bee hive or herbs garden, just tap to collect when ready. 4xp and a random reward.

Because you need to make the items in this event, you do not need to buy the knives, canteens, cupcakes, etc. from the paper. If you are waiting for hats or jackets to finish, you can buy those and give them to the event. (I imagine we won't see many of those, as people gave theirs to the event.) Buy any flint you see, though!

Stormie sells random farm items plus event items during an event. Unfortunately this random pick gave you this item that you need to craft. Put it on sale in your shop at max price and let Stormie purchase it back from you. ;-) Sometimes I get good deals from Stormie, sometimes I don't.

Stormie sells random farm items plus event items during an event. Unfortunately this random pick gave you this item that you need to craft. Put it on sale in your shop at max price and let Stormie purchase it back from you. ;-) Sometimes I get good deals from Stormie, sometimes I don't.

When you buy an item that the event requires you to make, you won't get credit for it as part of the items made. However, you can use it towards those items you have to give to the event. Then sell the items you are making once the building process is complete. Sometimes this will allow you to advance to the next step and saves some time.

Honestly this game frustrates me more than it is fun.
I found a few coins hardly any in the pond or deliveries. And when I do it's a repeat UGH! If I see another bench I will scream lol
I seriously hate luck based events. I did get my bear but the lack of coins is frustrating.
Life is stressful enough. TL make it easier you are losing players!!!!!

I've been playing around with the list in an excel spreadsheet. I'm not very good with the program, I had to get a new version recently and its like having to learn it all over again. But I cut and pasted the list into a spreadsheet, split the columns so I could sort on the items, and they separated into alphabetical order. Only problem was I could only sort on one column. My old program let me sort on multiple columns. I hope there's a way to do it and I just haven't found it yet. But with all the same items together, it'll be easy to add up how much of each item needed.

I asked earlier about the use for buying camping knives since I bought 2 from Stormie. Now that I am on Step 6 making the 6 camping knives to fulfill the task, I realize that if I had 2 studios and more than 6 slots, I could start all 6 knives and also immediately start making the heavy jackets that require the knives with my "extra" knives. But those of you with 2 studios already know that!

It seems like many people are using their 6th set of knives to craft an extra jacket, since we make 6 knives but only 5 jackets. This is probably why I found jackets in the newspaper for sale, which of course I purchased so I can "give" my jackets before I finish making all of them.
This game always has interesting strategy! Now if only I had better strategy for getting more coins for the camping machine. Got my only 2 coins out of the mine when on Step 6 looking for flint, and 1 fishing.

Hi mearro, if you are still checking out this thread I wanted to let you know that there are coins in the fishing pond or at least one coin. I decided to try fishing one more time and used up all the dough bait and a few other lures that I had made over the last couple of days. The final score with the fishing pond is:

Lures - 105 Camping Coins - 1

I am giving up on this part of the event. The drop rate is so low that it appears the coins do not exist. The team has had time to fix the drop rate and they have not. Lastly I will be away for the last few days and will not be able to devote hours on end looking for coins.

I turned in the 26 coins that I had accumulated during the event. The machine gave me back 14 unique items and 12 duplicates. I hit on matches and tickets four times each.

I could not believe it when I completed the goals and got the cub this morning! He's now happily hanging out with the other critters. I am keeping him away from the sheep and chickens.

I doubt I will get the campsite, but I'm not real concerned about that. I need only one more piece--the chicken outfits. (Wanna guess who's behind that one?) I have 5-6 days left at this point, and if I complete it, it's lovely, and if not, no big deal. (But I will be having a few words with the chickens and probably put them back in their goalie suits, which they did not like. They wanted leotards.)

2 days sending deliveries, fishing and mining, and no coins, not even a single one. Got the last one in the mine and of course I couldn't get anything new. Still need two things to finish, but with this drop rate I don't think I'll make it. So frustrating.

As usual I have to give up on the bear, went mining for gold to make the caribineers, used 33 picks and shovels and no gold or gold coins. Did get a couple of flints. No rubies either. I guess they figure if you aren't going to spend real money on an event, they want to make sure you will not complete it. Will be selling everything I have stockpiled soon.

Thanks for remembering about me! :o I haven't been playing for the past 2-3 days (house moving+no broadband) but I just got back. WOW, I will have a go again to see if I can get any coins at all but I doubt. I haven't invested much in this event, 2 previous ones really tired me out, so I'm not that devastated but the campsite would be nice of course.

Definitely good luck to everyone, pity we can't sell the coins! Creators prevented players from helping each others now. You can't buy crafted items because it doesn't count, you still need to craft on your own.

I got the bear and got a coin from a delivery. I got the last machine reward I needed for the campsite and got another coin after that. I haven't been successful at all with coins from fishing.

The prize machine is not tied to the goals for the bear, so you can use it to get more prizes from the machine if you want. The campsite is really a handy to have. The gold coins will be gone after the event, so best to use it and win something.

Well done! Was it like winning the lottery? Lol. I don't think I will reach the campsite as gold coins have been hard to come by and I'm currently at a standstill with the knives as I am struggling to get iron ore. Next goal will need gold so I'm not holding out much hope. My plane keeps asking for donkey products now so have to keep skipping but need mining tools. :( Chickens are madly jealous of the sheep and cows in their camping outfits. I've tried consoling them with the prospect of a new Donkey friend but they were not impressed.

I haven't had a single coin from fishing despite the hot spots. Even the gold lure only gave me fish. I've had approximately 2 coins from the mine and the same from deliveries. I guess some are more lucky than others

It didn't seem to matter: I found them both in hot spots and elsewhere. And the number of coins was the same for hot spots and regular spots, as well. Good luck! :)

Got my bear days ago but just got the campsite this morning. No coins to be found anywhere after the bear goals were done so I bit the bullet and bought the tent that gives coins. It does look cute next to the campground in my new camping corner. Took me 36 coins to get all the prizes and happily not that many deco duplicates. I have 4 log benches and 3 sleeping bags but everything else was 1 or 2 only.

First, tap the habitat and see if the Bear Cub is waiting to be fed. Depending on where it is, it may be hidden by the habitat itself. If there is an animal there waiting to be fed, feed it...it might be the Bear Cub.

Second, if the first doesn't work, try tapping the Bell to call back the animals to the habitat. That should draw it out of hiding, wherever it maybe.

I have sent dozens of deliveries, mined about 20 times, and fished dozens of times (including with 5 special baits a VERY nice neighbor sold me) and I've only seen 1 camping coin in the last two days! I only need to win one more prize to get the campsite, but it's never going to happen at this rate!

Another fool here. Bought the coin and gem package because I only needed 4 more items. I also got 1 coin from deliveries and 2 from the pond today. Did I get my 4 items out of 13 tries? Of course not! Didn't get the shovel. Didn't care about that but like everyone here wanted to complete all items for the final camping item. The game knows what you need as you never get duplicate skins, so it's not a matter of luck, but how the game is set up. Still a part of me wants to buy a coin for 19 gems now that I have 50 more of them...trying not to....know what won't happen. Willpower.
Update...kept doing deliveries and got another coin and got a s'more! Really! With 15 minutes to go I sure have no use for that!

I did want to say that getting the bear was fun. It was challenging enough and required some planning, but then when there is a prize machine and you get so many duplicates and buy 10 more coins to help and still come out losing, it is just a let down.

We used to get duplicate prizes of skin in the initial events and was changed after feedback from the community. Technically it is possible to fairly randomise the draw of prizes while preventing us from getting duplicate skin prizes. E.g. The app draws again when the prize is a skin which the player has gotten. Besides than this change, I don't see any other tweaks that prevent us from getting the prize. Some of my prize machine events were easy with almost no duplicates while others were more difficult. In this event, some won and some didn't...

I do not like events that rely on luck. Events where you complete the steps, like the steps for the bear, are fun because everyone has an opportunity to do them and KNOW that if they complete the event steps they will get the prize. I don't mind working for the prize if I know it is achievable, and not awarded by luck.
