White Glass doesn't do anything for me, but Forgefather and Glasswing left me floored. Stunning designs. Looks like they are trying something a little different with the Tales, which is interesting and fun. Change can be good. But I hope the requirements aren't ridiculous to finish this, because I really want Glasswing on my islands.

I've got a Rainbow Sentinel so the champ/rainbow combo is cool but not an OMG factor as yet. But the metal/black/red Forgefather?! Holy cow! I love unusual combos! S8 had become stingy with gold gifts( they have disappeared from the tales) .and now it seems that is is becoming stingy with food too.
Normally a tale would give around 32k food . This time round only 12 k ... So if you are at high lvls you do need 300k+ food , if we follow food needs of previous tales.

You are right.. It would be easier with the starting levels of regular tournament.. Especially if one gets stuck against a particular dragon (not tournament, normal battling), it would be a relief to have tournament..

The dragons look amazing and the color combos are awesome. Thank you Flatfoot and S8 developers. However, what I don't understand is why you guys stubbornly insist on harvesting fireapples!! We already are pressed with food; add to that now we have to take the 2nd dragon to lvl.13; and the food reward from the acts have been reduced to 12000 only this tale. On top of all these, we have to harvest firrapples on atleast 4 different acts!! We lose so many apples by fireapples.....

Loving the dragons, but I'm really wanting a habitat! I have all my Tales and World Event dragons on the event habitat they belong on, except for the last Halloween where I have split them over two adjacent habitats. How can I house these three great dragons together?

Did the power that be think abt players at the other side of the earth?
When reset time is midnight for players, it would be relatively easy to plant one or 2 rounds of apple , and send out request before bed to neighbors, probably can then finish by the time they wake up, n at the same collect from farm for rumstone thing. And then can proceed to battling during daytime?
For me, reset time is in the middle of afternoon, by currently requirements, probably i can only get all invites by bedtime. Or worst, in tje middle of the night, that might not leave me much time to complete rest of the steps. And becoz of the auto start deadline, it would not allow meto try aligning last day to Sunday.

Yea after I posted a reply I noticed you said your level 30 it's really hard to do much of anything at level 30 right now I would just work on collecting dragons and build your coins and farms up this game is well worth it after a certain point it just takes a while to get to that point eventually you will have so many coins there won't be anything else to buy it just takes time

At level 30 you get lower goals. I thought tales were a breeze at level 30. Especially if you're prepaired. Don't worry, you can make it to the end. Unfortunately you will not get 3 but 2 dragons. The next time you'll probably be midlevel and have work hard to get three dragons. I just leveled up to 96 wich I don't think is high level, but that's just how it is. I don't know if I'll make it, but I'm sure as hell going to try. Great dragons to work my a** off ;-)

the best way to get Love is the combo Virtue-fire : only 4 possibilities (5h for love or kitsune, 15 h for laserlight and 25h for justice)

If you have a pink dragon & a light dragon will probably get a love dragon. I keep breeding my pink kikina with my light dragon hoping for something else, but all I get are love dragons. I bought the light dragon for $150,000 because I really wanted a light to breed with lots of different dragons. Got some amazing dragons, but with pink, only love dragons. Hope that helps.

Where does it say upgrapes? I only see see buffbeets and they are in the same farm as fire apples. Whoops, just decided to upgrade due to another post, now I see upgrapes. Sorry!

Welcome, Anuisia, and good luck! There are usually 3 different levels for the Tales events, although this time I have only seen information about 2 levels. Keep an eye on the first couple of posts in this thread; they normally get updated with that sort of information fairly quickly as forum members start posting information.
Level 50 might be the first level, or the first one in the second level but I'm not sure which this time. Watch this space!

Day 2 is a bit long. 8 hours to craft plus 5 hours on the nest means "craft and hatch" forgefather takes way too long. Especially since he needs to be evolved ASAP but still have to do quests... Ugh

I sped up to day 2 but still didn't finish until midway thru actual day 2. Now I'm doing all of his evolving so I'll be delayed on day 3's quest. But I'd rather put him to his level 14 and not have to worry with him again.

Yes, you have to hatch the dragon requested even if you have it already. The general rule is that if you are asked to perform a task (breed a particular dragon, hatch a particular dragon, craft something, feed a dragon 20 times), you need to wait for the prompt or it won't count.

For example:
Breed an Air dragon means wait until you are prompted and then mate Air with the dragon of your choosing.
Hatch a Life means you can breed for it ahead of time, but wait until you are prompted before you hatch it from the nest.
Craft an object means you can start crafting it, but wait until you are prompted before you remove it from the Spell Shop.
Feed a dragon means wait until prompted before feeding it and then feed it the number of times requested.

On the other hand if you are told to raise a dragon or to have an item, that can be done ahead of time.

For example:
Raise Forgefather to level 4 means you can feed and evolve him ahead of time. I generally raise them up as quickly as possible keeping in mind any quests or such that dragon may need to perform.
Have a Mighty Furnace means you just need to have it crafted and on display or in storage.

Breed Red and White together. Virtue is one of 3 possible outcomes (along with Love and Laserlight) and takes 33 hours to breed and evolve. Most dragons are breedable unless the description says "not found through breeding".

Also, I got food at the end of the second Chapter (7500 I think but I'm not 100% sure).

I crossed the level 90 border just before the start of this event and to make things worse I leveled up a dragon to lv15 just before the start as well so I'm really low on food (just over 70,000 now)... it is impossible for me to get the final dragon, really disappointed and I feel stupid for spending all that food :(

I totally understand you :/ It's something you'll learn - If you want to participate in the Dragon Tales Events then you should always have a good amount of food prepared. Personally I dislike it because I would like to decide which dragons I feed (especially because it's already so ridiculously expensive to level dragons beyond level 10 with the small amount of farms we have). But if you want to have certain event dragons then you're forced to spend up to 300.000 food (which is nearly the amount of food some dragons need from level 14 to 15 and it takes you more than two weeks to get if you log in three times a day).

Sorry for the rant :D But I totally understand you and I'm sorry you can't get the last dragon :(

I wish TL would add select buttons to our album like we have in the Battle Arena (i.e., show me all my Diamond dragons or Blue dragons, etc.)

How do I get her to recognise that he's hanging out already so I can move on?

Breed Love and Olympus. It eliminates the possibility of Virtue. I got Love once again on the first try with this combo. Good luck!

So.... did someone accidentally flip a switch 48 hours too early?

I'm assuming these things are preprogrammed and no one's really working on a Sunday, which means someone put the wrong date on the automatic activation of the Tales Event. Sucks for anyone not ready. Especially those that don't play on the weekend. They'll load their game on Monday to find that they've only got 9 days.

Fortunately enough day one is a piece of cake in these things, so no real harm is done. But it's the principle of the thing.

I knew finishing the last tales that I was going to be in the high level with this one. Not too happy about it either. I didn't have much more food the you, but I do have time to plant and harvest almost every hour during the day so I think I can make it. Just try and see how far you can/will go. I really want the final price dragon, so I'm all in.

Restarting my game doesn't unlock the issue of having pre-crafted/pre-hatched Forgefather. Even rebooting device/restarting game. Still stuck on 3/3 as if I never crafted him. Since I cannot craft another and he's clearly standing there on the rock, I sent in a support ticket. I even leveled him up once more in case that'd set dragon momma to notice but nope. She skipped whatever step 2 was for me since I'd done it, but not step 3 bleh.

I've tried two devices just in case. Since my main gaming one lost all battery power so it's been charging all afternoon to get enough power to even load up let alone run a game. Finally got into it and nope, same issue.

Game still works fine otherwise with farming and battles and quests (except this one lol), I just can't go further. I get the option to pay 20g to skip. So maybe it's an android issue but might want to wait till she specifically asks. I don't know.

I thought it was just me doing something wrong until I saw miksdee's posting too with same issue.

There is a way to avoid the dreadfull Virtue dragon, but I can't remember. Can anyone tell me?

For Life: Dino and Life is a good combi, as it gives only short fails (max 12 hour), and gives me a chance on a dragon I don't have yet.

Olympus X Love is a good one (as long as at least one of them is below level 15 to avoid the Prime)

Something tasks shouldn't be done until you are prompted. Here is some info from a previous dragon tales thread:

General Tips
*Check the forum for information on the tasks required for each day of the event. Use this information to plan your approach to the event. It will be much easier if you know what to expect and when you need to be ready to breed, battle, quest, craft, etc.
*Do not use gold to skip to the next day. It is not worth it unless you are doing so strategically.
*Some tasks can be done ahead of time: quests, crafting (such as spell scrolls, hedges, etc.), and leveling up the dragon received on day 1. Do not collect until prompted or it will not count!
Some tasks cannot be done ahead of time such as breeding and battling. If one of the tasks is to mate a certain dragon, you need to wait for the prompt or it will not count. Same goes for battling, you need to be prompted first.
*There is a big difference between raise your dragon to a certain level and feed your dragon. If you are asked to raise the dragon this can be done ahead of time without penalty. If you are asked to feed the dragon you must wait until prompted or it will not count.
*You may need to breed two days in a row. Make sure your breeding den is available when needed. Plan your breeding for outcomes less than 24 hours if you need to breed the next day.
*Each task may be skipped by using gold. The amount of gold varies depending on the task. Try to avoid using gold at the beginning of the event as the event will get more difficult each day and the temptation, or need, to skip tasks will increase.
*If you are stuck on a particularly difficult battle, consider speeding up the time between battles instead of using an Ultimate hit. It only cost 4 gold to battle again right away compared to the 12 gold for Ultimate (30 gold if there is a tournament). You may choose to use Ultimate if you don't have many good battling dragons. If you do use Ultimate, use it within the battle rather than skipping the entire task from the event interface.
*You may need to raise a dragon to a level above 10. You need to buy a Noble Crystal and place it on your isle to do this. Find it in the market under the buildings tab. The cost is 500,000 coins and there is no build time.

I feel , buying Love dragon is 380 Gold which is very Costly ! Instead , Why don't you try to breed Laser light ( or any other Red n White ) with Olympus ? Even skipping this act may be much cheaper which you may please check up ! I am suggesting so that you may not make one more mistake and waste your precious Gold ! But decision is yours , ofcoz !

hi guys fyi: chapter 7 act4 is the same as chapter 10act 4: you can plant 4 farms with 8 hour crops( 80 glass spears) or 1 farm with 20 hour, 1 farm with 8 hour crop, and 1 farm with 5 hour crop ( 80 glass spears) and any other combos you choose. Just to make it simpler for everybody...good luck everybody and have fun. btw its a lot easier than the last tales where we had to collect 120 runestones from farming. ;);););)

when you get to the act it will tell u how much gold you need. this is the first time I noticed only chapter 10 it tells you in advance how much it cost for each act to skip as posted by others

I'm assuming these things are preprogrammed and no one's really working on a Sunday, which means someone put the wrong date on the automatic activation of the Tales Event. Sucks for anyone not ready. Especially those that don't play on the weekend. They'll load their game on Monday to find that they've only got 9 days.

Fortunately enough day one is a piece of cake in these things, so no real harm is done. But it's the principle of the thing.

I really want to feed Valiant and this takes is going to Clean me out plus then glass wing is just as hungry frown. I spent the whole day yesterday growing grapes just trying to keep up and then passed out for twelve hours. Such is life lol.

I was not going to start until Tuesday since I was already crafting a dragon and the evolution temple and nests are full. I would not even of noticed except that I looked at the icon and it said 9 days. My event is still frozen solid for a day or so now, all because as a newer player I had no idea there was some random knowledge everyone else just knows to not do certain things until quest asks for it.

Forge is a really pretty dragon, but getting frozen and losing an entire day now is upsetting to me. :(

The in-game dialog always said 8/21, which matches the auto-start time set on the server and is the intended start time for the event.

The image that lists 8/23 was an outdated dialog that was incorrectly posted to the forums. This image never existed in the game. I'll edit the original post with the incorrect image since leaving it up may result in further confusion.

I'm stuck on the first battle of chapter 2... I'm facing a level 14 flower dragon and during the latest attempt my game glitched on me & made the enemy dragon's life meter not move on my last hit and then it beat me. I forced closed the game and re-opened it only find my dragon not exhausted and having to wait another hour... I briefly thought I won it but it didn't register it the chapter... I hope there's a tournament tomorrow for a dragon I don't care for b/c if my non-tournament battles are gonna be so unecessarily difficult to the point where I'm stuck for most of the day on 1 dragon, I'm never gonna get through the battle tasks, let alone the whole tales.

The in game graphic is not accessible during game play....only when the game completely resets or maybe at the beginning of a new day. Because of the confusion, I specifically was trying to access the graphic and had to rely on the info on page one here. Huge mistake...I crafted a courier tying up the nest for two days. Yea after I posted a reply I noticed you said your level 30 it's really hard to do much of anything at level 30 right now I would just work on collecting dragons and build your coins and farms up this game is well worth it after a certain point it just takes a while to get to that point eventually you will have so many coins there won't be anything else to buy it just takes time



At level 30 you get lower goals. I thought tales were a breeze at level 30. Especially if you're prepaired. Don't worry, you can make it to the end. Unfortunately you will not get 3 but 2 dragons. The next time you'll probably be midlevel and have work hard to get three dragons. I just leveled up to 96 wich I don't think is high level, but that's just how it is. I don't know if I'll make it, but I'm sure as hell going to try. Great dragons to work my a** off ;-)

I used Air/diamond knowing that for sure air egg will be the result (2hr), but when I saw the timer on 7 hr I was soo intrigue; but when periket egg appear on nest was a surprise.
Not the first time I usually pair diamond when I want a surprise.

They are not useless at all.I won so many battels with them and saved me so many times. Dame of darknes and Jack are the one of my prime fighters that I use them very often even for turnaments.thay are not winners every time but also my champions are lossing a battel.....

These are getting impossible to finish without spending gems unless you have insane amounts of food because you don't try to level up any other dragons except to wait for an event. The last time I needed something from my neighbors the last day I didn't get enough and having to win EIGHT battle matches?!? That's EIGHT HOURS unless you get the watch to finish enough times but it seems I get two a day. Of course you can spend 4 gems to battle again and who says you will win all 8? Even with a level 14 champion and Rainbow Sentinal as well as a Diamond and Mercury at level 15 they don't always win. I also have a level 14 Divine. They are making this too difficult and NOT fun. Forgot to mention the 8 battle wins comes AFTER getting items from neighbors AND I think you have to harvest something from your farms. Some of us play other games and want to sleep at some point.

What level are you? There are different tasks for different levels. The ones at the beginning of this thread are for levels 91-200
They usually post the lower level tasks here somewhere or there is an external site we can't link to where you can find them.

Assuming you are a level 41-90 Day 5 is

Chapter 5 (3 Acts)

1. Complete 1 Sturdy Steel. (Skip: 10Gold20px)

My only problem is that i am here since march only and don't have a very big island and my coins are low after planting - i have to calculate what i can plant for my coins - but there is a small chance that i can make it - but have to wake up at night and plant again - and mine only for apples - even if i already got my first mining dragon and don't think to have a chance to get a second - but i need every apple i can get.
It is hard and i don't want to make another tale event with such hard work and so many strong steps. I think that the steps to get the Glasswing are very hard to make and only want to do all to get this wonderful dragon because it is so beautiful - and a champion-rainbow type.
But i don't want to have so much stress for only a game and don't want to do this again for a tale. It is too stressful and needs to spend up some step with gold - i think about the 8 battles to win on day 10 and the other acts for finishing. It is very very hard and will cost us a lot of sleeping time and nerves.

What level are you??...maybe you are under lvl 90?....if so there is no need to raise Forgefather at 14 only to lvl 10 in ch 8,skiping that costs 45 golds.also goes for White Glass dragon raisin her at lvl 10 in ch 10 skiping that costs 125 golds.
So if you are in this group I belive you can make it and get all 3 dragons.

What level are you? There are different tasks for different levels. The ones at the beginning of this thread are for levels 91-200
They usually post the lower level tasks here somewhere or there is an external site we can't link to where you can find them.

Yes, I'm in that range. I was at 50 when it started I'm at 53 for the moment.

I looked for the different steps for low or mid level players (just at the last tales) and I didn't see them so I assumed that they are the same for everybody. At least it seemed to be the same for the first 2 chapters or so.

anyway, I think I should prepare for the steps on the first page and then make the ones that apply for me since they are easier anyway.

I am on level 115 since last Sunday - i was very busy. ;-)

Currently i fed Furgefather up to level 10 and needed complete 74500 apples. I made it to have still 140000 apples in storage now. That's together 210500 apples - needed are 385000 complete if the post where i read this is correct - that makes 175000 i still need to get within 6 days - it could reach if i am still busy with planting and even breeding and evolving (bombs for food).
I have already a Love Dragon egg in my second nest and be prepared for the next two days.

Anyway - thank you all so much for your help in this thread and for posting all steps in advance for us. Without your help lots of us couldn't reach the last steps and the wonderful dragons in the tales.

Dragon Tales: Forging A Hero

Within the humble stone home of the Forgefather Dragon, there rang out a familiar sound to all those who lived in the village. His hammer struck down upon his anvil, causing a solid ringing sound to travel outwards from within his home. Several newly-crafted tools and items sat neatly organized against the wall, ready for their owners to pick them up. Lost in his work, the Forgefather Dragon couldn't hear the other ringing that came from the town center until a young Air Dragon arrived to inform him.

Having put down his tools, Forgefather traveled the short distance downhill to the center of town where all the other villagers had already gathered. Amidst the crowd stood a dragon with a green hooded cloak and an interesting walking stick with a lantern attached. He introduced himself as the Adventure Dragon, and explained that he has traveled to the village to warn them of a darkness that is coming to the Dragon Isles!

The Adventure Dragon expressed his sorrow for being the bearer of bad news but Forgefather thanked him for the warning and sent him on his way. This news was concerning to Forgefather. He had lived in this village for many years and knows the other dragons very well. None of them are fighters; in fact, they're all quite peaceful dragons that never had cause to take up arms. He would have to devise a plan to keep the village safe from this dark threat...

Several days had passed since the arrival and warning given by the Adventure Dragon. Within those days, Forgefather worked tirelessly to craft barricades and defensive installations for the town. As he tirelessly worked, putting hammer to steel, he recalled a time during his youth when he and a close friend, the White Glass Dragon, imagined plans to create a magnificent dragon. Their creation would be as tough as steel and as beautiful as blown glass. Such a dragon would be a perfect protector for the town, yet White Glass Dragon had left to travel abroad many years ago.

The work was too much, even for the highly s****ed and determined Forgefather. He called out to his eager apprentice, a young Fire Dragon that lived in the town to help him. Both dragons worked away, shaping steel and melting iron. Between the deafening rings of his mighty hammers, Forgefather and the young Fire Dragon heard a sudden clattering from out back...

Forgefather and the young Fire Dragon looked at each other as they halted their work. The apprentice headed for the door, but Forgefather held him back, stepping outside himself instead. It was unnaturally dark outside that evening. There were no stars or moon illuminating the land. Peering into the darkness, Forgefather caught a glimpse of something skittering along the tree line. Red glowing eyes peered back at him from within the darkness and, without any warning, the intruder attacked!

The impact of the aggressor sent the Forgefather tumbling back into his workshop, knocking the door off its hinges in the process. Forgefather swiftly stood back up on his four legs and readied himself for battle. The red-eyed dragon stepped out from the darkness and into the light of the workhouse. It was a Life Dragon, but its skin seemed to lack color and its eyes glowed a vicious red color. The Forgefather had never seen such a Life Dragon; something seemed to be wrong with it. As the intruder readied to lunge once more, it snapped its head to the other door and suddenly bolted out into the darkness of the night...

Forgefather ran out after the strange Life Dragon, but it had disappeared back into the woods. Returning to his home, Forgefather caught the sight of someone he hadn't seen in ages: his old friend, White Glass Dragon! She looked upon him with a fond smile. Before he could ask, White Glass explained that the Adventure Dragon had also reached out to her and warned of the darkness that was coming. Soon after, there was word of strange dragons nearing the Forgefather's village and she had to come back and help. They both knew what they would have to do: Create the perfect guardian dragon that they had imagined many years ago.

The next day, with all their supplies packed, Forgefather, White Glass, and the young Fire Dragon started their journey up the mountain to the Dragon Forge. Years ago, Forgefather and White Glass built the forge to craft their ultimate design: a dragon with the strength of steel and the elegance of glass. The three got to work, putting hammer to steel, fire to sand, and infused it all with magical properties. Once more the sun set on the Isles, and it wasn't long after when the apprentice spotted several dragons with red glowing eyes climbing up the mountain. They didn't have much time left to finish the guardian dragon!

Their work lasted throughout the night and the dark dragons were nearly upon them! Climbing over the lip of the ridge, several dragons with no color in their scales and glowing red eyes stood with a menacing demeanor. The attack was inevitable and Forgefather stood to challenge the dark dragons. Both sides readied for battle, but it was the dark dragons that pounced first! As they leapt through the air with claws drawn and teeth bared, a sudden blast of chromatic light hit the attackers and they fell to the ground. Spinning around, Forgefather looked up to see the beautiful dragon warrioress. Her stained glass wings spread open, scattering the morning light into a shower of brilliant colors. The power of these rays was so strong, it seemed to return the natural color to the dark dragon attackers! It was as if they were under some wicked spell. Forgefather looked back at the White Glass Dragon and gave a smile and a nod. Their design worked. They created the perfect guardian for the Dragon Isles!
