sigh... it seems arena had been getting more difficult for me recently.
my battlesteed lv10 lost to pegasus lv1.
should have won in the second hour with other dragon , but only return in the third hour to find the same round Pegasus again... argh.

now that i finally moved on to the second round , my lv 10 water lost to level 2 Tiny Dragon.
i even checked the table twice to make sure i am choosing the correct color to battle...

Turnament? Lol. It looks like a Neon/Sultana/Cursed Rose/Anemone and Diamond tournament this time around. Why those dragons you ask? Black and Pink dragons are effective against Olympus dragons and that level 15 Diamond may just work against the three champions. If you are having difficulty with this tournament especially with the Olympus dragons, take note that Olympus has pink magic, so treating these dragons as having a primary pink element should be helpful. It will definitely change your color matching some! For example I would normally use Lollipop (Rainbow purple yellow) against Poseiden (Olympus blue), but pink is weak to yellow and Purple so Instead I will use Supreme since Pink is weak to Black and both elements are weak to gemstone. Black Pearl would also be a good choice but Supreme adds Rainbow which blue is weak against. This is thanks to Deedees research last fall, I'm just applying it. (Kooky should the chart be updated?)

Catching up a bit. Juggling tournaments around travel (4 hours) Work(7 hours) and school (3 hours) PLUS some SLEEP is super difficult, I have to say. Just won Round 12, no losses so far.

The Diamond hybrids are proving their worth against all these Olympus hybrids, thankfully.

The lack of gold is kinda messed up. Thankfully this tourney has been easier for me than the last three. I've been through 17 rounds with only one loss (Diamond 14 to Prime Eternal). I've been playing the percentages and keeping in mind that Olympus type dragons are weak against Diamond hybrids (why Quetzal was my dragon of choice 3 times), black dragons (Prime Arcane I think will be the MVP with Neon not too far behind) and pink dragons (haven't broke em out yet but I got my lineup of Kitsune, Sultana, Pink Lotus and Justice ready in case I call them off the bench). My results are on page 2. I hope my results help some of you with this tourney.

Yea, I agree. I even think gold reward should be given to new players too because this dragon is 'something new' to them, they might treat it as the usual 'new dragon' tournament. Maybe there're another reasons behind this, it's just too complicated, lol... :D

If I could recall correctly, Aphrodite was not appeared as tournament boss in a tournament before, Aphrodite appeared as one of the prize in previous Olympic World Event a few years ago, so this is the first time Aphrodite appeared as tournament boss, but we can't deny the fact that Aphrodite is an old/re-release dragon though...

Rest of the 25 rounds own by Playful. Against all the Olympus types, the first attack was magic, followed by bash or bashes. Still not sure how or why bash/magic differs, but with my Playful, against the non-color elements (olympus, stone, metal, gold etc) it has to be mb or mbb, otherwise Playful loses.

Aphrodite was a dragon I really really wanted. Now, only if I can breed an Iris, my Olympus collection will be full....Good luck to all.

OMG... Aphrodite dragon......... :D It's one of my favorite Olympus hybrid and I've been waiting a long time for its re-release... Yay, finally..., so surprise with its re-release in a regular tourney... AMAZING!!! I'll try my best to get this one, fingers crossed... ;)

In my mind, this is by far the hardest of all tournaments I have played. 3 level 19+ champions and very difficult others, l 20 Olympus that is less than 25% **** rate for everything. I lost to level 15 diamond 15 times against centurion (21 times, altogether)!, not encouraged. This game is becoming very frustrating for me..

I used the leftover gold from purchasing the USA Dragon (Yup, as soon as he grows up he will definitely be kicking butt in the arena) to speed up the rest of the rounds. Surprisingly I've only lost 4 times in the entire tourney not losing to any dragon more than once. My Rainbow Sentinel took down Fates. Here are some other dragons I would have tried... Divine, Cupcake, Black Swan, Scarab (green/red SR).

use: green/pink/gold/champ
avoid: blue/white

If Olympus can be treated like the pink element, add the following:
use: green/pink/gold(x2)/champ/black/gemstone
avoid: blue/white/yellow/purple

I would certainly like to be working with the most accurate and up-to-date info. Where did this chart even come from? It doesn't seem like anything TL would have put out. Finally beat chariot after 36 or so hours, I was desperately levelling up my new diamond to 15, as at 14 he went down. Worth it though! Lost fire 15, air 15, forest 14, water 12, Stalwart 10 several times. Now Max my forest before starting on stalwart, I thought having high level dragons were ment to make tournaments easier....... I still get as far as the champs and get stuck for 1-2 days grrrrr unless I use gold, still not won a tournament without spending any (more grrrrrrr)!!!!

I lost to Stalwart 34 times before I won with a level 3 Cotton Candy. I'm stall a bit traumatized.

-I pay attn to how far the opponent's bar goes down... for ex, with Stalwart, the only reason I even tried Cotton Candy was because Melody (one of the 34 fails) took Stalwart's bar down really far, it was only a sliver. I figured maybe that color combo was good and gave CC a try
-leveling up a dragon RIGHT BEFORE fighting sometimes helps, sometimes not... for ex, I put Passion up from 10 to 11 & won a champ in tourney. This also worked with Infinity 12 up to 15. It didn't work with Air level 10 up to 15.
-If the bar goes down really far, I put the dragon in the spa and try him again when he heals. I have no idea if it matters, but I use a different attack sequence than previously. It's been suggested to use the same attack sequence.

Monichia, yes it seems to be a lot harder than it used to be for some intolerable reason. BUT that's why I'm posting and reading. I defeated chariot dragon @ level 15 with my level 8 or 9? Winddancer. Colors white yellow purple!I found the parent colors to chariot were blue and purple and tried motley at first. I mixed it up by throwing in a white which isn't supposed to defeat blue and purple. But a lot of times it seems to work when mixed up a bit for reasons I can't figure in.

If it's your punishment it's been mine too, all the champs were a breeze, the others were a bit harder, had to think in reverse a bit. Add the fact I've vpbeen sleeping a lot so a tad slow!

Hi, for all of those still trying my level 13 Kitstune dragon took out most of the Olympus dragons. For the 29th dragon I used my level 15 Diamond. On 30 I used my level 15 Diamond dragon. If you have on try it out. The Olympus dragons are simular to the pink ones. They have a color in them but the Kistune is all pink. Try it out. What can it hurt you can finish the tournament. I did and it was the first one I did not spend gold on.

I would certainly like to be working with the most accurate and up-to-date info. Where did this chart even come from? It doesn't seem like anything TL would have put out. OK, I really need some help - been battling Centurion for a day & a half. Thought I was moving along pretty well until I met him. My Diamond is breeding (got Quetzal!) and my only Champ Stalwart is evolving. Have tried most of these multiple times - fire, playful, fuzzy, Mage, queen, Olympus, air, hammerhead (water), Hercules and others I've forgotten. I see someone just won with metal. Guess I'll try that next time. My spa line is long - any other suggestions? What colors am I looking for with this champ and how do u know? I have been playing for years and just found out u can tell colors when battling (:o embarrassed)! Thanks guys - u give me hope that I can win the tournament.

Neon, Dame of Darkness, Prime Arcane, Quetzal and Music were my best friends during this tournament. For all the Olympus dragons except Olympus itself and Achillies, Neon has a high winning chance according to the calculator. I don't have iOS released dragons like Rainbow Sentinel and Gilded Knight yet I still got through the tournament with minimal losses. I hope my results will help some of you. Good luck.

I already have the goal dragon so it is not such a big deal but I would like to get it over with so that I can collect passports for the community event. I still have 4 rounds to go,:(

I dont expect to win tournaments. Only reason I play is to get the letters for the other dragon. Its really really frustrating to keep banging your head against the wall. If I was smart I would just wait out the tournament and resume playing after. IRRITATING AS HELL!

Been stuck on Chariot since last night. I had hoped to win Aphrodite but I'm cutting way back on gold buying....getting tired of always having to use gold to finish anything. A little here and there is fine but I spent a lot a couple of tournaments ago and had so many dragons lined up for the spa I was still healing them when the next tournament started. I haven't given up completely yet....I'll still keep battling until the end in hopes of pieces for crafting the courier dragon. And if I'm pretty close to finishing I'll speed up a battle or two. Found in the long run that the best things to use against Olympus types as an addendum to my previous post were gemstone types, black and diamond. I found royal and purple definitely to be generally bad colours to pit against these dragons up unless other colours outweighed. Sometimes it's just random. But my king spent time in spa when he normally doesn't. I found Jack couldn't win at all. Both of these are got is for me. I had luck with jester in early rounds tho. I used diamond and valiant almost exclusively in later rounds and benched my champions as they were of little use against the Olympus type most times not even getting close. I usually end with no more than three dragons in the spa and had a few more this time. Glad it's over and much betterprepared if it happens again. In fact I will probably buy the valiant value pack and level up a duplicate simply because he blows everything away! Also looking forward to getting Brazil and Germany when I have a free best as my Usa dragon is very strong. USA was not useful this time but that was unusual. Good luck and hopefully this helps some of you.

Highly recommend you both level your diamonds up to fifteen, you will see an amazing difference . The food cost isn't that bad either. I think it was my first fifteen even before commons. I actually bought my first champion in a value pack and they come up up fairly often I think. It was well with it for me and the food was a bonus as well as it got me off on the right foot without having to fight champs to get it. He has always been one of my best fighters even tho I have not yet levelled him higher than ten. (I have other champions that took less food.) good luck with your quests!

I didn't have any losses in the first 21 rounds., but then it got more difficult. I spent about ~ 50 gold (most of it during Achilles) to speed up battles. Curio finally won against Achilles and Aphrodite :)

Now I have another egg in my storage. Actually I was saving my eggs for a World Event (so I wouldn't need to buy Water eggs), but I'm not participating in the current one and who knows if the next one will be better... To hatch or not to hatch is the question :D

My diamond is at 15 and has been for a while. I think she's a pacifist. :) My best fighters are fire, air, Dueler and wild, all lvl 15.

I remembered somebody's advice that any dragon of any level has an equal chance against those high-level champions, and so I stopped selling the hatchlings from the air & water eggs that I buy just to keep the nests going during events. Now I'm throwing level 1 air & water babies at the Berserker, and selling them instead of healing. Meanwhile, the healing spa is catching up on the backlog. As soon as a nest frees up I'll fill up the available habitat spots with fire & forest hatchlings to use as more tournament-fodder.

Gotta say, I remember the days when it was possible to finish a tournament without spending gold. I had to ultimate rounds 15, 20 and 25 after battling each one for at least 24hrs. No level 15 dragon has helped, no diamond, champion, valiant nor any impossible to get dragon made any difference. I was always able to easily beat (at least) round 15 in a 6 day tournament. Not anymore. Can't help it but wonder whether someone has changed settings and rules on the other side?

I'm out...... Well actually I was three days ago, but kept trying, three times I beat difficult dragons only for the game to 'refresh' and the win not count! Funnily enough each time I won it was in just two moves only for the refresh battle to not succeed in three! Grrrrr, seriously not fair, I still am yet to win a tournament without spending any gold to ultimate or speed up, even know I have several level 15 dragons (including diamond) and a level 11 stalwart........ Getting boring S8, BORING!!!!

So, after 3 frustrating days battling against that chariot dragon I beat him using king dragon, although I'm sure I would have won using any other dragon as I think us winning or losing is somehow controlled by the game (thanks to those who gave me ideas of which dragon to use, none of them worked, but thank you anyway :) ). So, after that I had barely more than one day to battle the other 15 dragons, something imposible with all those champion and olympus dragons on the way that are not affected by type. I've reached dragon #25 (surprise: another champion!), I can't defeat him and I'm going to sleep right now so this is the end of the tournament for me. Sadly, it's not the first time this happens to me.

So the message I get from the creators is: we don't care if you spend 6 days playing every hour because you will still get nothing! Unless... you pay (malefic smile while they recline on the couch and swirl wine in a glass).

I see the comments of people experiencing the same and it's a shame, really :(

After having some trouble with scylla (a common that shouldn't be difficult), I just gave up when I got to berserker... I didn't beat it after 2 attempts and with only 2-3 hours left, I knew I couldn't win aphrodite...

This tournament has been a complete disaster for me.. I don't know whats been happening that I've just been having difficulties with the tournaments lately. Since I've gotten rainbow sentinel, I've won the pokey, oni, & stalwart tournaments but have lost the last 3. (I hope Rainbow Sentinel didn't lose it's battling s****s lol).

This tourney made me not want to battle another olympus type dragon (or breed for scylla & fates)... ever
