Do you know how many of each should we make?

Hey guys, this event has not start yet so just prepare the crafts if you want. We'll get more details on the prizes etc nearer to date. Craft the amount your barn is comfortable with. I think to start with maybe 10.

Event hasn't started yet. My thinking is that it will start coming Thursday (but this is not yet known). The new recipes don't take that long to make them so if you wanna send a plane delivery, I would do it :)

I saw we needed bass for the next event and have been making anchovy and spicy bait which is supposed to be the best baits to catch them (although I've caught bass in the past with dough bait even) but as usual with these events, the bass drop rate will most likely be altered to make it harder to make the stew. However there's been quite a bit of bass for sale in the newspaper last few days so I've been making room in my barn and buying them. They'll be hard to come by once the event starts. Keep a look out for them. :)

Anyone have any idea how many of each would be suitable for the start of the event? I now have:
- 67 Brigadeiros
- 48 Pastel
- 34 Moqueca
- 20 Pao de Queijo
and I'm using the last of my barn capacity to get the number of Pao up to about 30.

I kept about 15 to 20 and leaving my barn space clear for the event in case I need to store event parts. You are very well prepared which is good but don't stress out cos we'll be given time to craft these during the event when it starts.

Yes, agree. Harder to get bass after event started. I also bought some from newspapers yesterday :) and upgraded my barn capacity.

But I don't think anchovy n spicy baits can get better fishes like catfish or bass, because i experienced a spicy bait only caught 1 anchovy -_- I really shocked n can't believe it. And there were several times using anchovy baits just caught also 1 anchovy only. >、<
After that i don't made anchovy n spicy baits anymore, not worth.

I haven't had to use the baits I've made yet as I have a good stock of bass now and 10 stews already made but as I said I've caught them with dough bait before so it's quite random. I've made about 10 each of the event items and am now making stock of items that take the longest to make (such as the lily candles, etc) but am also being careful not to overfill my barn. Hopefully this will save some time during the event and help me keep up :)

You've been busy! Lol. If the next event is the county fair type (in the big area next to the truck delivery building) then be careful not to overfill your barn with event items because if I remember from the last one, the orders will ask for non event items as well. We won't know what type of event it will be until it starts, I guess, but just a heads up on keeping an eye on your barn space.

I never saw that either Judy! That's what Ive been doing too, making items that take lots of hours. I'm also keeping a look out for items I cannot make myself (such as those from the Sushi shop, etc) and buying them, though I am cringing each time I do because they are so expensive, lol. I'm trying to save up for a fifth feed mill but if I remember correctly, the last county fair was a great help for adding lots of coins to your total so hopefull I'll soon make up for what I've spent. :D

SallyCat60

I just remembered something from the last county fair. Didn't we have an extra little swarm of bees who were very generous with dropping items every so often? I hope we have something similar for this one as they were very helpful but of course vanished after the event finished. I was sad to see them go.. I named each little bee and everything... :/ IF we do have a little helper, I wonder what it would be? As its themed on Brazil, the host country of the Olympics, maybe we'll have a little Brazilian animal popping up here and there, or maybe an Olympic runner dashing through our farmyards! :))

When you donate items to county fair I think it is for zero coins but there are usually awesome decorations as prizes and most of the time final prize is a pet...

I liked how in the bee event we could win a set if upgrading tools to increase barn space.

You can use this Time Zone Converter (http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/) to figure out your local time. You can enter "San Francisco" for the TL time zone (PST).

Central time is 2 hours ahead of storm 8 time. So right now storm 8 time is 2:06 pm

If you are talking about your forum clock, go to your profile under general settings and change your time to Central Time Zone.

Your fair will only asks you for crafts unlocked at your level, likewise for your train, plane, truck and balloon. So don't worry, just make sure you have all the craft buildings and farm features available at your level.

Then the candle maker must be unlocked for your level, I think. If you CAN buy it, it may be asked for. You can usually then pick up the candles in the newspaper or from neighbors your level or higher. Good luck with the event!!

I got it too. I'm seeing torches but not as many as I expected. In February, the boost for cupids had those little guys all OVER the place. The torches seem to blend in as well. Plus, there's the delivery vans and ribbons/medals providing camouflage. I've found butterflies and moles behind some. Torches probably are too.

When are the orders going to start including the Brazilian foodstuff we've all been making in preparation for this event? I've not had a single order asking for one of them yet. Has anyone else found this happening? It does keep asking for two of everything that take a long time to make though!

If you discard a delivery in the county game it says you will loose the current progress. Do I loose the % I have at that moment? What progress will I loose?

No I discard orders and you do not lose your progress.
You just have to wait for the order to refresh like a plane delivery.

I agree that these are blending in well and I am finding far fewer than with the cupids. This picture shows one that blended in with my trees really well. I also get the sense they stay in one place for a long time, where I thought the cupids stayed briefly then moved. So, if you are having trouble finding the torch, you might be stuck for a bit. I wonder if closing and reopening the app will make it move, hopefully to a place where you see it better?

Hi SallyCat,
The orders at the Country Fair asked me twice for the new Brazilian food. 1 Time on day 1 & 1 Time on day 3. I expected it to be asking for the Brazilian food more

I have the same. It's a bit annoying as I keep saving these Brazilian stuff and my barn is stretched it its limit! And I keep getting more from torches.

I keep getting peaches/peach items and sushi house food in my orders......I don't have a peach tree or a sushi house. Is this normal?

Plus, I've gotten no Brazilian food in my orders. Hmmmmm?? Smh.

Why is there a difference between prize amounts? i.e. 10,000 or 3,000 coins on day 1? I got only 4 pet foods on day 3 instead of 8. Could it be that higher levels get bigger prizes? Something about making it more proportional?

I think its like the wedding dogs that move together

Do they take up one space in your dog kennel or two I wonder? I hope we can get a skin at some point to remove the swimming goggles. They look peculiar.

Hi Funky, yes it's a bit puzzling when we were urged to start making them even before the last event finished. Lots of people selling them too. Common problem it seems?

The orders for higher levels are more difficult and the crafts take longer to make, not to mention more variety of crafts.

The wedding dogs only take up one space in my kennel, so essentially I have 4 dogs in that kennel. I expect these Olympic dogs will be the same.

RE the coins for day 1....I'm level 42 and I got 5000.

I started Saturday morning so I've only finished day 2, but no Brazilian food asked for yet. The only order I've discarded was for a tulip candle as I haven't built the new flower shop yet. It can stop asking me caramel apple lollipops though....way too many of those requested!

Oh and I'm glad the pink leotards were for baby lambs and not adult sheep!

don't like the dogs prize so i'm skipping this event :D
good luck for those who are doing it and have fun ;)
(well may be will try for the paints : will wait and see how many paints we will get)

Ditto. Pets are comical and the amount of work needed to get them is going to be, I'm assuming, absurd.

However, love competing for coins and other parts!

I enjoy this event purely due to the fact I'm getting XP's and coins for advancing.

It seems a little peculiar that I've turned in some "big ticket" crafting items (sushi rolls, buttons, etc) only to advance to 10%.

Unfortunately, this has been the case with these events. You don't quite know what percent you will advance with each order. Still, they are relatively low pressure events, which can be done on one's own time schedule. Since I work, I find this preferable to collecting from something every few hours.

I am surprised to again see prizes of silo and barn expansion parts for advanced level players. Many of us are at the max for barn and silo expansions and have been for a very long time. In spite of introducing more crops (notably flowers), more recipes and even the new goats, there has been no allowance for added barn or space. So why give a barn and silo kit upgrade to advanced players? I hope this means those expansions will be announced soon!!

Well, I had enjoyed the event until the past two days. The deliveries or whatever to the fair fill so little of the percentage needed. I had lots of items ready to go beforehand, including the ones just for this event. (I got only a handful of requests for those.) Hardly any of those have been requested. Even the orders for two or three ribbons/medals require items that take hours and hours to make--and for just two or three percent. It also keeps asking for stuff I cannot make, like items from the ice cream maker, which I qualify for but cannot purchase because I had that goal to get the peach trees. It took me nearly two days to earn the upgrade parts. I'm at 43% of the next skin. No way can I complete this event. I wanted the dogs, but I can't say I'm truly disappointed as I know how these events work and did not have high hopes even though I have finished all the previous fair events. Sigh. The setters would have had fun with the turtles at the pond.

Same here, LadyFencer. I've made so many things that take forever and reward you with very few medals, and as soon as you have made them they are swallowed up by the orders, then asked for again! I seem to be skipping most orders now, and waiting for it to ask for items that my barn is actually full of! Im getting orders for things for the sushi shop that I don't have and won't buy on the market as I'm trying not to use too many coins. I'm not going to make the dogs I don't think as there is not enough time left. But I'm going for the calf skin just now and if possible, the gold lure if there isn't another time delay to wait out. I'm not worried about the dogs, they're not all that cute. I'd rather have a new feed mill or a pony, to be honest. Maybe next time.

I didn't have enough gems to buy the cauldron and am glad I didn't as it seems not to have been the asset it was advertised as. I have been getting around two or three torches per day, but I've not been playing all the time. Seems it would have been a waste of gems to me

I got the dogs earlier. They look way too large IMO, especially joined together!

I didn't get asked for hardly any of the event food so will be selling it off later. I did buy the cauldron and have been getting a lot of torches, 2 at a time sometimes. Gold and balloon tickets seem to my most frequent prizes.

I've finished as well. I agree the event took a lot of high production time items for little value. I wish the newspaper refreshed faster or had more pages! I added neighbors so I could be a frequent shopper.

I didn't see as many torches as I'd hoped, even with the cauldron purchase. My most frequent prize was event food or 100 coins. I got 23 balloon tickets, some saws, pick axes and gold.

Speaking of event food, please remind me what happens after these events? Should I just sell the food in my shop now to clear out my bursting barn? I made it in advance, but that turned out to be unnecessary, as it was rarely requested.

I got my dogs too:) Im happy. Cause I don't have much pets and glad to get it. This is my second event of this kind. Since I didn't have too much coins. I made what I could. Bought stuff. But kept refreshing to get better orders. What I liked is that I could sell stuff too and the shop kept moving. I think I like this kind of event the best of what I have done so far. Waaaaay better than the stress of collecting things and drops that don't happen! I wish the praizes were more substantial especially the parts.
Congrads to all who got the pets! And all the best to those who are still trying...

What do I do with the food in my inventory that was specifically for this event? I would like to free up inventory space if these items are no longer needed for the game.
I completed the event on the last day of the event, got the dogs, and now the fairgrounds says the event is over. But I am still finding the torch and receiving prizes from it, so I'm afraid to sell the foods in case they are still needed.

Added later - I didn't have as much food as I thought, so I just sold it all. More than half of it is gone already, selling quicker than I expected since the fair is over. All that's left is 4 cupcakes and some of those round things that look like chicken nuggets.

Question - What is that pathetic animal on the fairgrounds supposed to be? It looks like it's shackled to the ground and is trying to escape! That poor thing has disturbed me during the entire event.

Yea, i was in the same position, i was glad to get the upgrade parts, but when i did go to upgrade, it was for silo parts, would have been nice IF they gave that ultra rare "Paint" so it actually took up room until day 10, ie today for me, when Stormie sold the paint i needed.
