No upgrade of desert palace

The goal is to upgrade the desert palace and no upgrade screen appears. In the past advice says to force close. I don't know what that is.

The goal is to upgrade the desert palace and no upgrade screen appears. In the past advice says to force close. I don't know what that is.what device are you playing. Normally force close -on mine anyway- hit the home button 2 times then slide your game off the screen. Or you can just close out your game normally and then get back on.
Have you collected yet from the palace?

Yes. There appears to be no problem with collecting.

Are you saying that when you tap the palace after collecting that the upgrade requirements are not showing up ?

I turned my iPad off and restarted it and that solved the problem.
