Leaderboard: Summer Games Event..starts 7/29 at 10:30 am PDT

I agree it's not possible to get final milestone without using gold for Android users. I have 3 nest everything was full with big points at start of event along with my temple and den. There was never a time that my nest, temple breeding den weren't full I actually had sencond breeding den going for 7 day again never any down time. I also used about 150 gold in total speed breeding for Ares and Achilles plus I battled at least 15-17 rounds a day. I never used the boost I'm to cheap and knew I wouldn't be anywere near 1st or 2nd and I'll end up with about 9000 points. I'll end up in the 6th or 7th spot.

Storm8 please readjust the milestones because it's not even close to being fair for Android users.

UPDATE: Just hit 8630, and I'm comfortably in 1st, so I'm done. I'll check in in about 40 minutes to make sure no crazy boosting has occurred in my group, but I have no reason to do anything for more points with 2nd at 6613 and 3rd at 4670.

I was crazy surprised I didn't intend on being 1st place.... But I switched to an iPhone and I was given those extra dragons within minutes... That plus speed tournament ****s because I actually wanted that dragon got me there I only spent 60 gold this whole time and I somehow got 1st... This dragon is ugly too I would've been more happy for food and maps....... Whatever

Since the event started till 2hrs before the event ends, im ranked 1st with more than 3T points ahead on ranked number 2.i logged in after an hour and the player at 7th place is now at the top and the player at number 5 becomes the 2nd and im left at third with more than 6T points behind the 2nd place.i dont know what happened but i decided not to compete at all though i have over 5T golds to spare.in my years of playing ds, this event has been most hated part of the game.....good job tl...

Well, I came in second. Spent some gold at the end to ensure getting Torchbearer because so many were boosting. Luckily I had a Crusader to hatch. It was intense! My heart was pounding like crazy, lol! :D

Bought a 2x boost and did some speed breeding for Achilles to reach the last milestone. Last breed finally gave 47 hours :) Got lucky on the 10th milestone and the last wheel, 169 and 239 points respectively so not to much gold spend. Was at 9th place or so, decided to speed up Achilles for 282 extra points to come in 4th. Very happy with the food and maps, didn't want to spend more gold as #1 and #2 were too far ahead.
Also bought the winners plaza habitat, now under 500 gold so will be saving up for the moment the second evolution temple becomes available for android.
Really hope this was the last fleaderboard event, but I guess that's just wishful thinking :p

Two hours before the event ended I was about 3000 ahead of third place and 1st was 1300 or so ahead of me. I realized 3rd wins the food and was like dang! Who cares about second?! Now I have no idea if it still held because my stupid game keeps freezing and jumping off.

Same here. Until until about 2am the leader and I were always less than one hundred apart. I reached my 8600 whatever to get the last dragon and was more than happy to lose. Since I haven't bred a regular dragon in MONTHS, I'm happy and content with getting something new and the little food too.

May have helped you, but it wouldn't have helped me, hard to beat 28,000 points unless you do a lot of gold spending. I use gold often to free up a nest at night or when I breed something (Achilles) that I can't wait 47 hours for, but I'm not spending thousands of gold on one event.

I have 3 nest, 2 evolution temples, plus Arctic Isles and I was no were close to #1 or 2 on my leaderboard and I'm ok with that.

The Leaderboard is not really my cup of tea, but I do appreciate the "Spin the Wheel" aspect, I know I will not get most of the milestone prizes nor win. There are players here that like it so I will not complain about it.
I did get my best result, 3rd (4,049) with 1st only 300 points ahead and 2nd about 200. No gold spent but I did battle all the time, which I rarely do outside of tournaments or tales.

This time, I tried and push for the final Milestone, fully aware that I have to spend golds (playing on Android), to see how it will turn out. And the final result is outrageously ridiculous!

Despite having 2 nests, active Breeding Roost, non-stop breeding+evolving+battling, carefully timing to use boosts once everyday and the not-so-helpful Wheel-spinning; in the last day, I have spend an extra of nearly 300 gold (not counting the golds I've spent on previous days). :mad:

Even more outrageous, the 1st rank player if my group, who is obviously an iOS player, with 4 nests, 2 evolution temples, arctic isle and lots of gold+diamond dragons still have to use a couple of boosts on the last days to get to the final Milestone.

So that's that! This will be the first and the last time I actually trying to participate in the Leaderboard event. Disparity between platform which have players with so much disadvantages (Android) have to face the same high-end goals which based on the conditions of full-capacity accessible (iOS) players. Plus, the easily exploitable grouping factor between 2 platform (like in my group case) just make it worst!

Personally, I don't hate the idea of competition in-game. But THIS kind of competition is not something that I, and players, want to experience. It's straight-out impossible!

It tends to be a lot less frustrating if you set your goals lower. Cheaper too. I never thought I'd make it to top 10, let alone 3rd or get the second dragon milestone, but I did (with a tiny desperate boost at the end to reach the milestone because so close!) and I'm quite happy with my progress. I didn't really enjoy the competition either though and it was my first ever... If we have to go through leaderboards 10 more times in a couple months, I think I'll just stop playing DS completely -_-

Since I'm back from my vacation, I do not have Arctic Isles icon in my game anymore, so I was not able to go to Arctic Isles during the event. I thought nobody had it because of the Leaderboard event, but my Arctic Isles did not reappeared when it's over. Is it normal?

You will need to tap on the airship first, then you will see your travel button show up at the bottom of the screen.

Oh I see..., then I can assume that you were rank 20 in Flying Flag Leaderboard Event since you didn't play at all due to vacation.

Yea, that's normal... A few moments ago they intentionally omitted the 'Arctic Isles icon' in our game, but we still can go to Arctic Isle by pressing the 'Arctic Airship' near the Dawntree, then click 'TRAVEL' button, and you will arrive to your Arctic Isle. You need to do the same step by pressing the 'Arctic Airship' in your Arctic Isle to go back to your main island.
