The Gem Oven, a permanent appliance, is now available starting at level 5. For the first week that it is available, from 7/26/2016 to 8/2/2016, the oven will be available for 750 gems, which is 50% off of its usual price of 1500 gems.

Baking recipes on the gem oven will award you with a gem each time you serve a recipe.

There is currently only one recipe on the gem oven, which cooks for 22 hours and gives 100 servings at 10 coins per plate. The recipe takes 3 quickserves to serve at full time. While it is most common to get 1 gem from serving the recipe, it is possible to earn 5, but the chance of getting 5 is not yet known.

Gem Cake(22h/Gem Oven):
1 strawberry, 1 lemon, 3 flour, 3 sugar
serves 100, earns 1000, 10 coins per plate
bronze mastery awards 2 gems, silver 4 gems, and gold 6 gems.

Uhh why 750 gems really?!

I like the idea, but don't like the fact that we would have to pay gems for it! Not everyone actually spends real money on these games, so it kind of seems unfair to those of us who don't.

I completely agree

How does it work? bake anything? or we have to bake with special ingredients? Can you provide a list that we can bake on that Gem Oven? Thank you very much

the first really stupid thing i've seen in this game.

(i can only consider this as the fact that developers see very low value income
from this game players - comparing to other games,
and are trying to enlarge the cash flow via introducing this oven)

Looks like they put a timed event for the oven as well. I am actually very disappointed by this. Not everyone who play these games actually buys gems, so for those of us who don't will unfortunately miss out on this. Why not make it available for coins or something where everyone who plays has the opportunity to get this oven. That's just my opinion

Ok, before a decision can be made regarding the investment value of this oven, it would be helpful to have more info. I hope someone can provide these answers before the half price sale ends.

1. The pop up tells me I will get at least one gem per use, and sometimes more. What is the cooktime of the gem cake and is that the only recipe currently available?

2. How many servings is the gem cake, and how many coins per plate? Or do you only get a gem?

3. Can quickserves be used to finish recipes from the gem oven?

That's all I can think of right now. Anyone else think of anything?

Great questions! :o I'll try to find out more.

If I had 750 gems I wouldn't need the gem oven!!! if i get 1 gem per recipe it will take me 750 recipe just to break even. That is nuts!!!! I was excited to get a gem oven but now i know I'll never get it. I have 100 gens now and it took me month to get them. I only got them from installing the other games.

I was actually going to buy this because I thought that spending maybe 10$ would be ok if I would never have to spend money again, but there are two problems with that:

1. This is about $50 dollars in real life money. I cannot justify that for myself.

2. Every time I try to save up any gems on this game I always lose them from accidentally restocking ingredients early. Any gems I would get would probably go straight down the drain again.

A good idea, but bad implementation. Plus the fact that there is basically no info about it also sucks. What if it takes 1 day to bake the recipe?

If it takes 1 day to cook the gem cake, and you get one gem per use, it will take 2 Years, 2 Weeks and 6 Days to get your money back. And that's at half price! LOL!

Exactly! This obviously wasn't thought through all the way! It would've been better to have an event with the main prize a gem rewarding recipe like in RS2!

1. A whopping 22hrs. Only recipe currently showing.
2. 100 servings at 10 coins per plate.
3. 3 quickserves instantly serve.

I've used a few quick serves to see how many gems you get - Usually 1, sometimes 5.
Bronze / Silver / Gold rewards are 2/4/6 gems.

Thank you for all the info! That 22 hours is quite disappointing...

If you don't mind, would you post a picture of the recipe inside? Like this:

so that we can see the ingredients required and the picture of it in the oven. Thank you!

What a big mistake this oven is. The amountof gem to buy at hALF price is crazy let alone the 1500 gems after the first week. I can't imagine ever buy this oven where i'll need to bake for 2 to 4 years to get even. Nuts!!

I wonder how many people have actually purchased this oven and if they will change the buying method due to people not wanting to spend almost 25 GBP for a little oven for one single game. Eg. Coins, keys, sale on gems etc

Confession: I bought one with some iTunes gift cards I had. My concern is that like CammoAmmo I will accidentally squander all my gems but enthusiastic tapping my stock. I don't usually buy gems but hey, the programmers gotta eat too!

OMG. They actually raised the price to 1500 gems. LMAO. I thought it was crazy at 750 gems for it.

hey guys, just wanna check for making guides:

- does the recipe need learning or it's there ready to cook once the oven bought?
- does the oven take time to build or it's ready instantly when bought?
- how many experience points does the serving drop?

thanks in advance for help! :)
