A different type of event is here! Grandpa Louie is back with a new marshmallow oven that requires 3 silver keys to buy. The oven will be available for 28 days before it is gone. While you only have 28 days to buy the oven, the recipes on the oven will stay forever. In addition, so far it is known that you able to 4 ovens, and it is possible that you can buy an unlimited number of them. All of the recipes on the oven provide 10-20 coins per plate and are thus very helpful in earning money.

Didn't we have this one already? I see I have to buy for 3 silver keys but I don't even see the previous one in my inventory! On the other hand I finally have something else to do with all my keys! Hope it's doable!

My images weren't loading before, but now I see that the recipe is the exact same smores that we made before! Will this just be a recycled event? If so I'm quite dissapointed.

EDIT: Nevermind, the "campfire smores" recipe is permanent, and it seems like the rest of the recipes you can learn are as well. This seems like they're giving us a chance to keep our old marshmallow goal recipes permanently!

The Marshmallow Oven looks like the Marshmallow Toaster appliance from the 2nd set of goals released in Bakery Story 2 back in January. And based off the image of the goal off to side when you open the pop up, the recipes might be the same ones as the ones released during that event. There's a pic of S'mores which was released during that event.

I had 3 silver keys so I got it, thinking a new event was starting. When you get it the first recipe is automatically learned. My previous marshmallow toaster is still in my deco tab.

I made a similar mistake- I spent 10 silver keys about 2 hours ago on the donut decor since it had become limited time. Oh, how I wish I had just waited a few more hours! Hopefully they give you forever to learn the recipes and just only 28 days to unlock the oven. Even so, it could take 3 days to get 3 silver keys or it could take much longer than 30... I wish you luck and hopefully you can get it in time!

I'm confused I purchased my oven and so did my daughter. We both received the campfire s'more. The rest of my recipes need to be learned but hers are locked by task. We can't find any tasks.

Seems to be the case. No other goals regarding the oven in the book and no timers anywhere that I can see. I think as long as you get the oven within the time you're good.

it's the first time so quick to finish the event, and i bought 3 ovens. Sadly that the upload pics all failed. my guess that the timer in the shop means you can buy the oven and decos in the event, only in this 27 days. over the event, you will lose the opportunity. Well it's just my guess, and need someone to confirm it ,or i just waste 9 silver keys for the oven and recipes.

If this is the case, it makes more sense to spend keys in ovens, not recipes. That is, use multiple ovens for one (or maybe two) recipes and just cook as many as you can. At 10 coins per plate they're a good deal!

The original pop-up said permanent or forever....I forget which and I didn't take a picture. No timers anywhere except on the oven purchase itself so the recipes should stay. Guess it's like any other appliance, you can have more than one.

I guess this is a (hopefully) temporary attempt to help us keep the recipe in goal, which I like. But it brings up more space issue since oven still cannot be put into storage (which I honestly don't know why they won't let us do it like in BS :( )

this announcement sounds like since you get it - you can use it any time you wish, just like a normal oven.
doesn't look like rush in learning recipes - they don't have a timers itselves.

I read 'you can put in your bakery forever' as being very clear. The receipes aren't time limited, only the option to buy the appliance.

Who knows maybe one day we'll finally get the option of removing only a portion of 1 type of item from the pantry..:cool:

I'm not too crazy excited about this new addition. I have too many 20 coin, 10 coin...dishes cluttering up my bakery, to the point that I now have to delete 6, 7 coin ones. My minimum is now 8 coin dishes. I'm even thinking deleting all the 8 coins, and keep minimum as 9 coin.

At the moment, I have 40 counters stacked to the sky with 8-20 coin dishes. I want to reduce this number, not add to it, or else it will take a few years of non activity to sell out all the food. Lol

I had enough coins to buy the 2 new ice cream machine/maker (about 8 million coins) but decided not to buy them, and expanded my bakery instead. I mean, what's the point of adding more food counters to an already cluttered bakery when food sells soooooo sloooooowwwww??

What they need to give us is not more food, which means more counters on the floor, which means it takes even longer for all counters to clear food...but they need to make the bots eat faster!!

No, that's not what I meant. It's keys to buy the appliance and keys to learn the recipes. The recipes are very cheap to make as they use simple, quickly restocked ingredients. eg it's easy to cook Ultimate S'mores overnight each night and stack up some 20pts dishes.

Like you, I have nothing lower than 8 in my bakery and bin everything else (needed for SBC / FTG etc) immediately once served. Doing this I manage to clear between 400,000 and 450,000 coins a day. This update will increase that slightly as it will drag up the average dish value.

I like this update! I had 25 silver keys (and that is AFTER having spent about 30 silver keys on donuts deco, bears tables and what not) and couple of gold ones. So was gleefully disposing them with this event.

Now my dilemma is if i should buy more than 2 ovens to chalk up as many 20 Ultimate Smores in a short period of time to open the $8M Michelle store and her decadent ingredients. Once u buy an appliance, you can't store them and it is problem for me..
cos I m at Level 39, my bakery is probably the tiniest at only 12 by 12!

So I have been throwing out low value to limit counters. But between expansion and learning recipes, I reckon recipes is more important to continue playing without disruption.

this is wht i wd like to find out too... or kinda...

the oven itself unlocked at lvl 14
(whch is logical, coz u need keeys to buy it,
and the source of the keys - secret club - unlocks at the same lvl)

but being lvl41, i cannot figure out, at which level each recipe is unlocked...

1) again, logically, first one (campfire smores) sd be available right there, at lvl14.
2) 2nd (ambrosia blabla) - COULD be available at same lvl14 - just due to ingredients required.
3) 3rd (fluffy cookie sanwich) - SHOULD be MINIMUM for lvl15, since the butter unlocks there.
4) 4th (strawmallowcake) - no idea...
5) 5th (rocky road) - again, MIN lvl15 due to butter
6) 6th (ultimate smores) - MIN lvl 22 (due to vanilla unlock)

also, in view of one-off rewards growing for bronze mastery of each,
i guess each recipe sd be available for different levels,
but i cannot figure out exactly for which,
'coz being lvl 41, i've learnt everything,
and having my baby's account of lvl14, i didn't yet open the club itself
to get an access to have 3 silver keys for mallow oven purchase...
(and i doubt i'll get it w/o 4 weeks, coz i'm here for couple of days,
after which again travelling, and no more pressure games, internet, etc...

I'd say take advantage and buy a good amount, maybe 2-5 depending on how many you see yourself being able to use without getting bored of cooking the same thing. You can expand your bakery anytime, but these ovens will only be here for 28 days so make sure you don't regret not getting more! Just make sure you don't buy too many and they sit idle later on :P

I'm curious about how many you can buy, is there really no limit? Or maybe it will stop after two? Has anyone bought more than one?

Haha true, I just meant so far you can only buy two of each cooking appliance with coins and I only use gems to get a second homemade ingredient prep appliance so I have only 2 of everything so I'll probably keep only two marshmallow ovens to match.

if so, then that appliance named "marshmallow _toaster_", was limited due to event's validity: when it's gone, the toaster went to your "decor" tab, so it's not useful any more, just decoration.

the point is, yes, our developers used many visual stuff from that event to create the running campaign.
(i can understand it, because the summer is not a time to create anything in your work, but to create something in your life, lol))) - i'm fully agree and in line with it!)

but i'm thankful to them for the way they combined several factors:
- not much staff working in the summer, less creative storms running (hard to invent something extremely new);
- players are waiting for new events / updates;
- tons of secret keys collected during half a year by players claming that there's nowhere to use them...

well, anyhow!
