I think I will hold off on doing any more Boardwalk orders, until I finish this challenge. I don't think I have enough storage capacity to try and do both challenges simultaneously. I only have 70 capacity in storage, and I need five more boxes to upgrade.

I've been actively playing for the last hour and haven't received any VIP passes. I have 1 from when the event first started, but no matter how many orders I fill, I don't seem to be earning them. Anyone else having the same problem?

Try restarting your game and make sure you have completed Goal 1.

Same here. After I got 20 I get nothing.

It took 9 delivered orders before the 20the VIP ticket.
Some playing hints. Make 10 crates at a time unless you will be away.
Put your businesses and factories at the top by the railroad tracks. Keep your 5 Star businesses elsewhere.This strategy can save you time and moving about. I made this discovery at level 10 and it helps and works. In 2 hours last night before I I slept I got 20 tickets since I at level 14 and have 6-8 businesses and 14 factories.
You still have to collect coins from citizens on the streets.

I don't know how much of this I will actually be able to participate in as since this event started my game crashes approximately every 5-10 minutes.

I might avoid the frustrations by not playing often. Will see.

Me, too! #random drops unfair should be a ratio for all. Also noticed some buildings show a pass near them in store, e.g. police station. Do we get passes when buildingthem?

The cottage adds four. I'm not sure about the others. I have 95 tickets, so I should be able to tell you about the conservatory soon.

I'm trying at average 20 tickets a day. 20x11=220. 210 for the final prize, 10 spare

Any one else feel like the drop rate for VIP tickets is about the same as citizens giving coins/building parts? My citizens are only active first thing in the morning and then again at night, nothing during the day. Same with the tickets. I've tried force closing, that hasn't helped. It's very frustrating.

I tried this one too and liked it. It requires some patience and ingenuity to get the space issues worked out to advance in the game. Hope you like it as much too.

Yes, the area where the Citypalooza is right now is the designated event area of the game. It houses different events at different times and we cannot place anything in that area. It's like the county fair area in FS2.

Yes, Sandybellee is correct. The event ground is game feature and used for other events so we cant place items inside it. Well it doesnt take up our city space.

When you get the music cottage...you can then continue building the music cottage. And, every time one completes, you get a ticket. It shows up under the houses tab.

In addition, any of the buildings you can build with the little vip bubble by it? Will always give you a ticket when you build it.

This is what I have seen in my game. Building things, cottages in particular, and doing orders has my tickets flying. :) Hopefully that helps some of those struggling.

I kept about 5-10 businesses needing orders on the board the whole time (storing the completed ones to make room for new ones). I also noticed that at one time my sushi shops asked mainly for wheat and sugar (which is easy to buy from the exchange) so I was able to upgrade about 5 of those very quickly. I also built 14 music cottages (they give 1 ticket each). And most importantly, I ignored the boardwalk while I was collecting tickets. Good luck!

And maybe the best motivation of all was procrastinating with a work task that I have to get done by the end of the week! :D

Are you talking about the Observatory? If so, then no. This is just a separate building that you will receive so you can place it in your city.

I'm on level 17 and have 9 businesses out which is the max I can have at this point. I did two full boardwalk orders but skipped one last night. I did build all my houses with music cottage when I needed to for side goals.

Just counted and I have 127 businesses upgraded to 5 stars at the moment. Most are on the board (I have 5 malls so far). I'm on level 19.

Ok, just finished upgrading city hall to level 11 so I can start! All my current businesses are maxed so I'm building more, trying for ones I don't already have. If I build boogaloos before the goal to build it pops up will it count or will I need another one? Only have 1 dining permit right now.

I am in a similar position with respect to the final prize. I purchased the $1.99 starter pack so that I could expand as necessary to put the prizes on my game board but I am still waiting for S8 support to respond to my email as I haven't received the gems,etc. I am barely keeping up with putting new businesses out to earn more VIP passes and I am also not getting the expansion parts I need.

Depending on how often you play you could probably get it done in time. I haven't been playing very often and I have about 15 passes to go before I get the final prize. I expect to complete that before I go to bed tonight.

I believe the poster is referring to storage of parts like those used for expansion (space and warehouse) along with the crafts that are made in a he factories

BTW, you can make multiple items in your factories and not collect them if you don't currently need to send them off. For instance, I make coffee in the energy factory and keep making it without collecting. I can keep many pieces in the factory until needed. Since I don't make sugar since I can usually buy it in the city exchange, it's no problem keeping it ready to be collected until needed

I finished few days ago, I dropped completely Boardwalk, I was only doing buisness orders, that way is was managable.

Instead of doing 2 boardwalk orders per day I lowered it to 1 (still only do one per day, way easier to manage) and filled regular shop orders while boardwalk items were in production. I also placed some buildings that gave tickets (cottages, community garden, 5th subway entrance). Maybe I also spent a bit more time with the app open than I should have...

I did notice that my drop rate seemed to be higher than what most players reported on the forum. On average 1 out of every 2 or 3 orders whereas some players reported it was 1 per 4 or 5 orders.

Dropped boardwalk long ago, currently on order 5 without a ticket do fingers crossed next one there's one. I've leveled up 3 times now during this event from all the music houses and filled orders.

Is there a max. Number of orders without a ticket or if I'm really unlucky it can get even worse?

Complaining seems to help, just got 3 in a row. Out of space again though so the shuffling around starts anew. I think what skewered things in the beginning was that cinema thing that takes an indecent amount of space and can't be stored. Didn't realize it was a useless building and just plopped it in my city

Started the event on Tuesday, already up to 157, so I'm not worried about finishing it. Have also been doing the boardwalk orders, simply by planning out my orders for both. I do have to admit that I was worried about finishing the event since I hadn't checked in on the game in a week before Tuesday and figured I'd miss out because of that.

I never have and only get one ticket for every 8-12 deliveries and yes I have logged completely off my computer and back in again and it still doesn't work right.

Completed it a couple of days back with 4+ days to spare. Didn't have to drop Broadwalk orders cause I suddenly had too much time on my hands and found myself going at it non stop ... ugh! That was about the time Broadwalk "died" on me too, ending an order early then giving me a 28 hour wait time for the next order; I'd completed one 8 balloon delivery after another for a couple of days.

Was a little disappointed with the grand prize though :( Other than the band members jamming on the stage, everything else isn't animated, unlike the stage in the event field where the lights move and the bars on the backdrop go up and down and the speakers pulse. Oh! And it's only half the stage you see in the event field; the vocalist section of the stage isn't included.

Anyone else struggling to get VIP passes today? I need 13 to finish and have not received any today. Been playing for about 8 hours today, I've force closed my game, nothing. Yesterday I received them for every 3 to 5 orders. Very frustrated when I'm this close to finishing.

I finished up yesterday. Drop rates seemed to drastically decrease towards the end and ended up missing 2 days to real life but other than that everything ran smoothly. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this game...

Can you check your storage? Click on the Cash Register and then the Storage box icon. It should be there.
