My Obsidain Cyclops took down the Pokey Pilot on the third try to win the tournament with an overall record of 30-18. This was my second best record for a 30-round tournament. See Post #3 for details.

My worst rounds were the round 23 Quartz Quetzalcoatl and the round 30 Pokey Pilot where I lost 3 times each. I just need to find some space to hatch these Rainbow animals.

Ok. I'm stuck on Round 21 - Saintly Bernard 16 (Service/Nature), need help please. Tried earth, fire, treasure, lightning and water and all either neutral or weak. Can't seem to find a chart with this combo.

Noticed some people used Gem, what else can we use for those that don't have a gem animal??

Service/Nature is a difficult combination to attack without special elements. You would like to use Fire to attack Nature but Service is Strong against Fire. Only Music, Treasure, and xMas are Strong against Service (don't know about Rainbow). The reason people use Gem is that it is Strong against Nature and Neutral to Service. If you don't have any special elements, your best bet is Electric/Water since both elements are Neutral to both Nature and Service.

Don't worry. You're not the only one! I have a level 15 Crystal Unicorn and she's been beaten twice by him now so I came here looking for the same advice!

I think a Level 15 Crystal Unicorn is the best animal to use against Service/Nature. It is what I used. Good Luck!

I got neutral for Treasure, getting Strong hits with Xmas, gonna have to do.

Nature is Strong against Treasure so even though Treasure is Strong against Service, the overall effect is Neutral. Good Luck with xMas.

kingkobra73, I meant to thank you earlier for your reply regarding the Rainbow creature levels! Thank you! Unfortunately for me, while I am lucky enough to have both of them, they are only levels 7 & 8 and hadn't done well in the tournament (which is why I asked the levels of yours) prior to my earlier post so I've been hesitant to try using them again and can't spare the food to level them up at this point. Maybe next tournament will be better with them! Or, even better, with the Grand Unicorn!

I am stuck with Quartz Quetzalcoatl since yesterday :( I have tried all my dark/fire combos, fire, dark, even some electric/fire, but nothing works this time and I don't have gem or other special elements. Any ideas or is my only hope a second run with the ones I tried before?

I think trying the ones you've already tried is your best bet. Good luck! (Or maybe throw a baby in there for a change - that sometimes works when nothing else seems to.)

I can't beat the Valkyrie level 17. Round 18.

I have no rainbow element animals. No skull, Christmas, Valentine or shamrock, no living wood, Trent.

My only gem is Unicorn level 13 cannot level any higher right now. No other "special element"

Any ideas?? I really want to finish this so I can have a rainbow element!

Thank you, gave it a second try and eventually took Quetzalcoatl down with Ember Bear after trying with a few others. Jackal also gave me a hard time. I hope the last ones do not because I run out of time and gems and I really like this little hedgehog =)

Now that I safely finished my storybook adventure and have my Grand Unicorn on the nest since I couldn't resist putting her in as soon as it became available (although I hope I don't regret leaving my Lighting Leopard and Skyger stuck in the breeding den since ninasidstorm8 ended up using the Skyger in her last round but, they weren't finished & I just couldn't wait! :p ), I followed part of your advice! I leveled my Pride Lion up! I can tell you that, at level 9 and 4 feedings (since I had to wait for another crop of Charm Cherries to be ready to harvest, that was as high as I could get him before battling), he was not quite the King of the Jungle! However, after ONE more feeding and a sped up turn in the Evolution Flower a King was crowned! :cool: Thanks for your advice!

You must have confused me with someone else. I tried Anubis and Chocolate Lab in the last round (each lost once) before I settled on my Obsidian Cyclops for the win on its second try (fourth overall).

Any tips on the rock candy rhino? I am down to the wire here. My only level 15 electric is Mrs. Potter Super Rare Electric/earth. My next highest electric is not until lightening leopard and he is only level 11. I have electric/fire rare level 10 (daredevil) and electric/nature rare level 10 (porcupine) and an electric/dark super rare (dragonfly) he is level 9 and I have an electric/water super rare (hippogryph) that is also only level 9. I also have GI Joey wayy down in level 7. I have crystal unicorn level 14 and the new grand unicorn rainbow gem combo at level 11.'

Please help me beat this guy... And maybe the next one!

Got past the rhino.. Now I'm just on the pilot! Lost twice! Only 3 hours left, no gems to speed up. Level 15 skyger lost. I have a level 15 rare dark/water (beast) but I don't think that would be good because Earth is strong to water. I have a level 14 crystal unicorn and a level 10 grand unicorn (the rainbow/gem hybrid) but I don't know how rainbow does against earth and rainbow. Dang this is confusing with the newer element.

This is the first ever storybook I finished to get the grand unicorn and if I get the pilot this will be my first ever tournament to win! I hope I can make it, any tips help! Thanks guys!

Good for you!! Use an Earth element to get that rascal. I uses Dark Earth (toy elephant) and dark was strong but rock was critical. A couple others got him with earth too. Best of luck. It's a good feeling when you start winning.

Even though I have the pokey pilot and won’t be trying for it, I think it’s a good idea when Storm8 brings back former animals to give people a chance a second time to earn one that may have gotten away. I know I like it when they do. Then if you do have the animal, you get a break. Especially when you’ve reached expansion limits and you can only add yet another one to storage.
